On this episode Gobbs reviews the disappointing Week 1 finals loss to the Broncos, who overcame a 14-game losing hoodoo to record their first win over the Storm since 2016 and first win since 2009 at Suncorp. The performance was below par, with the Storm completely outplayed and dominated by a rampaging and damaging Broncos side. Storm return to AAMI Park for a Week 2 Elimination Final against the Sydney Roosters who have momentum. Gobbs looks at the game and threat of the Roosters side in what looms to be a danger game and a contest of the ages between these two modern day rivals.

With the Gold Coast side's season over, the Titans will be playing with a certain gay abandon, throwing caution to the wind and will be out to unsettle Melbourne. Storm will need to be on defensively as the Titans have plenty of points in them and will not be afraid to chance their arm and play instinctive, 'eyes up' football. DEFENCE! It might not have been a masterclass, but the effort, desire and desperation was on show which set up a tremendous performance and Storm's best outing and win thus far in Season 2023. Only several Rounds previous, Coach Craig Bellamy was questioning the team's effort and doubled down citing a lack of care. Well there plenty of both on display in the Rabbitohs game. A win over Wests, ended Melbourne's two-game losing streak after back to back losses to the Bulldogs and Titans in Round 2 and Round 3. The defensive effort against Wests Tigers was pleasing; the goal line defensive effort and scramble to shutdown the offloads and expansive ball movement which traditionally causes all sorts of problems for Melbourne's defensive systems, was responsive and swift. No doubt that defensively mindset and mentality will be needed going into Round 5 against the Rabbitohs who are coming off a highly emotional week and win against the Sea Eagles.

Last week, the Storm had their effort questioned. This week, Coach Craig Bellamy doubled downed citing 'a lack of care' in his players. Whilst many were anticipating a response after Bellamy questioned the effort of his side, it was not forthcoming. Will virtually saying that his players just don't care be enough to embarrass the team into the response he and Storm fans were anticipating would come? Time will tell as the Storm now tackle the Wests Tigers in order to snap a two-game losing streak.
