I Used To Hate The Color Yellow: Recent Episodes

Jessica and Amber

The goal of our podcast is to have open, direct conversations about daily life with Jessica & Amber to help people from ages teen to retired look at life a little bit differently. We should have an open mind and open heart. Even with our 20 year age difference, we are still going through the same things. We want our podcast to help people realize they are not alone. We will share our life experiences that include non-traditional families, adoption, addiction, depression, career changes, friendships, adventures, faith, helping others, and all the wonderful things that are to come in our futures. One of our goals is for our listeners to have a deeper connection with God and their loved ones. We hope our episodes will help you gain, what we call, perspective awareness on aspects of our world and the people in it. If we can make our world a slightly better place, then we’ve made a difference. Our listeners are more than that to us. We want to build a community of people that also want to make this world better, a movement from a group of “well-wishers”. The simplest gesture of writing a note to someone can change their path and purpose in life; we are examples of that. Follow and subscribe and you’ll be considered part of our well-wisher family and we can make this world a little bit empathetic and compassionate.

In this episode J & A share how they were raised either with or without faith. Both of us have different journeys with our walk and understanding of God. Sometimes the journeys are not easy, clear, or correct.  Perhaps you've gone through your own journey and connection with God.  We are by NO MEANS experts, nor do we want to claim our thoughts or beliefs should be the same for you. We just wanted to have a candid conversation about our journeys to where we are here today.

Find out what was going on in the lives of J & A as to why each individually decided to take this leap into the world of podcast and our willingness to open our lives up to others. As Jessica refers to a movie which is actually, "We Bought a Zoo": “You know, sometimes all you need is twenty seconds of insane courage. Just literally twenty seconds of just embarrassing bravery. And I promise you, something great will come of it.”

J & A recall how their paths crossed when Amber was Jessica's high school English teacher.
Not realizing it then, God was helping create a life-long connection between us. During a difficult time in one's life, a simple, kind gesture can have more of an impact than you could ever fathom.
The phrase " I Used to Hate the Color Yellow" has such a deep meaning to us, listen as we explain why.
