Recently, Craig (Engage Lead) and Susan (Engage Women's Ministry Lead) had the opportunity to sit with Joanne Chamberlain from Lutheran Media as part of their 'Messages of Hope Podcast'.

The topic was "good work" - and explored the crucial role our faith has in the workplace.

Engage would like to thank Joanne Chamberlain, Emma Strelan, Lutheran Media and Messages of Hope for allowing Engage to use audio of the interview as part of the Eleventh Hour Podcast. This episode can also be found on iTunes and Spotify through the "Listen" link at the website of 'Messages of Hope' - Messages of Hope - Real Stories, Real Hope - Lutheran Media.

On Thursday 11th June, Engage Work Faith ran an event named 'Hospitality with Heart'.

The evening was full of Biblical encouragement for hospitality with heart, practical ideas for simple snacks, grazing platters and meals, and featured a little tasting too (yum!).

Interestingly, the Bible says a lot about hospitality. Whether you love it or find it overwhelming (“no time, nothing in the pantry!”), hospitality doesn’t have to be complicated or expensive.

Hospitality is an entrée (pun intended!) to deeper friendships and sharing faith — we can make it part of our everyday life – and heart!

This episode features an audio conversation from the event with Susan and Merle; it was originally captured in video form, and was transcribed later into audio form.

We hope you enjoy the episode!

Recently in August, Engage Work Faith celebrated a 5 Year Celebration Dinner at the Adelaide Pavillion, as part of our regular Annual Dinner series.

As well as being a celebration of 5 years of ministry, it was an opportunity to share fellowship, enjoy delicious food, and hear about past, present and future Engage activities.

The keynote talk of the night was Affective Evangelism with Mike Roe.

Until 2024, Mike and his family served as missionaries in Namibia and South Africa where Mike taught in theological colleges. His academic interests lay at the intersection of ethics and the theology of eternity. Having worked as an engineer for 7 years, Mike has an abiding interest in how we understand the eternal significance of our daily work lives. He currently serves as Faculty Leader at Bible College of SA.

We hope you enjoy this wonderful talk, where Mike explores evangelism, the human heart and workplace ministry. It begins with an interview with Simon Hill (Engage - Training Lead).

On the morning of Saturday 15th of February, Engage Work Faith held the annual ReFrame Conference. The theme of the conference this year was 'Evangelism... but not as you know it'.

It was at this event the following statement was put forward:'

What if hearing the word “evangelism” brought a warm, good, positive feeling to you... instead of, perhaps, guilt, inadequacy or fear? We believe this is possible, and what God wants us to know and experience. It’s not that evangelism will automatically become easy, but we can frame evangelism in ways that are freeing, empowering ... even joyful and fun.'

The speakers for the event were Craig Broman (Chief Engagement Lead) & Simon Hill (Training Lead) of Engage Work Faith.

In this first episode we hear an interview with Simon Hill, who outlines the meaning of the word evangelism and explains key factors about both the term and how we can go about it.

You can find out more about the event here: ReFrame: Evangelism Training - Engage Work Faith

We hope you enjoy this episode! Have a great day,

This is the second in a two-part series of episodes from the event 'Embracing AI: The Future of Work & Other Minor Issues'. The first episode, the keynote talk, is also available on this podcast.

In the show today, we hear from the event expert panel, who came to talk about artificial intelligence and the future of work (both presently and in the future). We also hear questions from the audience, and the results of a fun "real time" survey on AI (which produced interesting results!).

Engage was fortunate to have on the panel:

  • Stephen Driscoll
  • Luke Heffernan
  • Christopher Foster-McBride

A brief bio for each speaker is within the narrated audio introduction.

It's an action packed episode and full of fascinating content. We hope you enjoy listening.

Thanks and God bless,
