In this episode, Unyime unpacks the seed analogy and explores why identity, not effort or output, is the root of true success. Women who truly have it all start with who, not why or how. We’re taught to chase our why (purpose, reason, calling) and figure out how along the way. But if you don’t know who you are, your why and figuring out how will only take you so far.
And that’s why in this week’s episode of Permission Granted, I’m inviting you to look beyond titles, accolades, and curated images to the deeper truth. Your significance is not something you achieve, it is who you are.
You will discover why identity comes before achievement and what makes the women who seem to have it all different. If you’ve ever wondered whether the life you’re building is truly yours, this episode will help you see where you’re still striving and performing in your life, so that you can make powerful decisions and lead your life with more peace, power, and presence.

What if being called selfish was actually a sign that you’re walking in obedience?
In this episode of Permission Granted, we explore the deeper meaning behind being misunderstood as you build a life rooted in alignment, not performance. This podcast was inspired by a client experience that led me to ask the same question that I’m inviting you to consider: Are you building a life—or maintaining an image?
When a woman chooses to walk in purpose over being palatable, she will be misjudged. But that judgment doesn’t mean she’s wrong. It means she’s different.
This conversation reframes selfishness as a sacred act of courage for the woman led by Spirit, not strategy. You’ll walk away with a renewed conviction to honor your yes to God, even when it costs you validation, applause, or approval.
If you’ve ever felt torn between obedience and expectations, this episode will meet you right where you are.

If you’ve bought into the belief that things have to be bad before seeking a change in your life, then this episode is for you. In this episode, I explain why it makes sense to think that the only time you need to do something about your life is when things are bad, and how it may show up in your life. When we wait for things to be bad, we continue to perpetuate a survival mentality and never really thrive. This is why I offer 3 questions in the episode to help you find out whether you've settled for good enough, so that you can course correct and give yourself permission to let life be better now.

As women, we have been taught to see our bodies as objects for making big moves and achieving the relationships, life, and success that we crave. But what I’ve found is that you can achieve all the success you desire but it will mean nothing if your body lacks the capacity to hold that level of success, exposure, and responsibility. This episode is your wake-up call. The body is always talking. It’s time to listen.

But I allowed myself to eat the food, so why am I still bingeing on it? I’m sure you can relate to craving certain foods even after you’ve told yourself that you’re allowing them back into your diet. You feel frustrated because you’ve given yourself permission to eat those foods, yet you can’t let go of the obsession with them. Giving yourself permission to eat foods that you previously restricted is a process that requires unlearning your food rules and diet mentality thoughts. Even if you have stopped dieting, the mental restriction may be holding you back from finally eating foods you love without guilt, fear, or shame.

One of the negative patterns that mums fall into is negative self-talk when it comes to food and their bodies. Let’s chat about how you can identify your negative self-talk, and what you can do to silence the mental chatter that comes from your inner critic.
