I am fully aware I was MIA for last Monday's episode drop, but what I am just realizing now is that I spent most of this episode talking about the MIA! Totally coincidental. Or maybe serendipitous! Nonetheless, it's good to be back. As well, I talk about how much positivity is the right amount, transitioning from Costco samples to hibachi in the post pandemic world and of course some Jinteractions to wrap things up!
I kick things off this week with some Jinsight on this past Grammy weekend's activities, Oscar nominees (more specifically Steven and Riz!) that we're hyped for and when is the right time to hit up the hibachi spot post pandemic? Also discussed are some of Denzel's finest works aside from Glory and Training Day. Of course, I continue with more super dope Jinteractions for the latter half of the episode.
I kick things off with some NBA All Star Weekend talk, followed by a Coming 2 America review based off the first 10 minutes of the movie. What naturally seems to be a reoccurring theme so far on the podcast, I also give the latest Club House / Cobra Kai developments in my life. I share about something I never talked about publicly before... My Pokemon starting 5 squad. As well, more wholesome Jinteractions to wrap things up.
On this episode, I talk about how "not caring" can sometimes be the key to personal growth and breakthrough. It's been a Jinteresting few weeks on Club House to say the least and I share about a few unexpected Jinteractions that unfolded on the app. Speaking of Jinteractions, I also close out with a new segment which is definitely gonna be part of the pod from now on!
Now that we're all caught up with where I've been the past 15 years and what I've been up to, let's talk about what's going on in real time. As of the recent weeks, my world can pretty much be summed up in 5 words and 2 of them start with the letter C... Club House and Cobra Kai. Also, I give a detailed play by play, recap of a 90's vs 00's R&B versus that I was able to participate in just a few nights ago. Where? On Club House of course!
Shout out to everybody who tuned in last week for the first episode! Whether Bejinner, Jintermediate or Jintellectual, you're listenership and participation in this podcast journey of mine is appreciated and not taken for granted. With that said, this week, I continue off from last weeks recap of where I've been since moving back to the U.S. in 2012 all the way up to real time, today. On that note, cue the airhorns!
As we kick off this new journey together, I definitely wanted to start with what makes the most sense, which is by answering the question, "Where the heck have you been the last 15 years?" As well, I share a bit of Jinsight as to what is the Jinspiration behind Under The Jinfluence. Who knows, you might end up being a whole Jintellectual by the end of the episode.
