This is a very special episode from the akhi&saltfish Digital Network, where we supported Dr Marcella Daye by covering the action at her Step Together Ladies' Celebration Brunch, which marked the culmination of her latest participatory action research on health inequalities.The setting for the day was the beautiful Delapré Abbey, and we extend our thanks to them for hosting us in their library.Our live podcast from the event features a friend of the Network, Catherine Joy White, and her amazing sister, who were part of the brunch. Rachel, a keen runner, shares with us why documenting her history outdoors is so important.We were fortunate to be joined by participants in the research, including Dorcus Francis, who shared a special poem with us, and Natasha Martines, who sang a song, demonstrating the connection between women, walking, creativity, and the community-fostered Step Together project.Professor Corinne Fowler also joined us to discuss her expertise in colonial history, decolonisation, and the British countryside’s relationship with Empire.
