This conversation can be a trigger for many and needs to be had. It's time to end the silence around the disempowering messages we hear as women about our bodies and our sexuality and the shame it creates.
In this conversation, I talk about how we each hold shame imprints in our womb space not just from this lifetime, but from our lineage and the collective programming.
We can transform this energy of shame, and reclaim our power, and a lot of the work I do is working somatically and energetically through a trauma-informed lens to alchemise our womb space.
This conversation needs to be shared with other women in our life, so they can start exploring their relationship with their womb space. We can change the trajectory for our future generations if we choose to have these conversations, so let’s start now.

So many of the women I support strive to feel calm all the time, as I guide them in building nervous system resiliency.
Do you pressure yourself to be calm, or do you wish you could be calm all the time? Listen to this episode and learn how truly the power lies in being able to be with all life experiences and feeling into them and then responding rather than reacting.
I would love to hear about how this landed for you. Have you aspired to be calm all the time? Do you feel you are worthy of thriving?

What is your relationship with resistance? In this episode, I share the science of how we are wired for what’s familiar and the protective response that will show up as resistance when new patterns aka unfamiliar patterns are being uploaded in our neural circuitry.
If you are curious and wondering how you may embrace resistance as purposeful, listen on.

In this week’s episode, I welcomed Katherine Lemmon, an energy therapist, and spiritual coach, in this transmission and conversation about all things energy.
Katherine and I unpack energy healing through our own lens, and Katherine offers a few different practices to integrate working with energy in your healing journey.
We spoke about emotions and how they are energy, energy vampires, auras, connection with spirit and so much more.
Toward the end of the conversation, we unpack our experiences with an ancient and very powerful practice that both of us use to shift our energetic relationships with people, be sure to tune in and give it a try.

This conversation about managing and bringing awareness to our energy deficit is key to our healing journey.
So many of us are moving through life feeling depleted, exhausted, and burnt out because we are running a major energy deficit. When we live life in an energy deficit we end up using up the capacity of our nervous system to regulate, to support us to respond to stressors.
What if we managed our energy as a currency?
And, if you know someone who identifies as they are running on fumes, is exhausted all the time or feels tired all the time, then my humble ask is to share this episode with them. In this episode, I share my truth, as to how Kundalini Yoga and Meditation paved the pathway to healing my autoimmune disease.
Gabor Mate speaks to how folks have defied diagnosis and healed what was deemed not curable, and the common thread across these individuals was they made a shift, they started to focus on getting in touch with themselves, reclaiming and living their authentic identity, and in the process, the body then could access the innate ability to heal, as it shifted out from survival states.
Sat Kriya is the practice I had committed to, it created deep shifts, and helped me anchor into my identity while moving stagnant energy from the lower chakras and truthfully when I started this practice, I had no idea that this practice would fuel my healing and put me on a path of healing my autoimmune disease.
If you are curious about this practice and would like to be guided, then I invite you to join our virtual community at www.healyourworld.ca, where I share and guide you in this practice and many other transformative practices that have supported my journey of healing beyond physical.

In this episode, I have guided you in a practice that you can use to support yourself and your nervous system through this period of transition, back to school for some, and change in seasons. Transitions can generally activate the protective mechanism of our biology, quite often showing up as anxiety.
My invitation is for you to try this practice and if it is supportive, keep coming back to it over and over and tending to yourself, so that the nervous system can receive the support and shift out of its protective survival response.

We unpacked how understanding the role of our threat response system, and accordingly seeking support from a pelvic health PT who practises through a holistic lens can add much ease and empowerment during the journey of fertility.

So often we tend to be hard on ourselves when we notice that our responses are different than others and we end up reacting to experiences that others seem to be ok with.

Sinead is truly a pioneer in pelvic health physiotherapy and practices as a clinician and a researcher and is shifting the model of care to include a holistic lens to healing beyond physical and mechanical approaches.
She advocates for other practitioners to widen their approach to care beyond the bio-mechanics and bring in the perspective of the proverbial “healthy soil” rather than focusing on the unhealthy leaf.
She shares how cognitions, previous traumas, beliefs, emotions, and attitudes, all play into symptoms.
She brings awareness to one’s desire to use health care interventions as a way to receive validation of their suffering and how that can take away from our journey of healing.
The role of the pelvic floor as part of the threat response system.

This conversation was so inspiring and uplifting, she is truly an embodiment of opening to possibilities.
“Being in a wheelchair allowed me to see that I could be loved despite what I could do, sometimes we put so much of our value in what we can do and offer to others”
Today Lais, sings and records songs and plays instruments and has defied so many odds, as she came into acceptance and surrender and chose to vibrate with the cosmos. It’s time to break free from hustle culture and view busyness as a badge of honor, it's time to listen to our bodies and honor our unique cycles, so we can continue to heal beyond physical and keep embodying states of love.
And let’s continue this conversation on IG, what narratives do you hold around the rest? Tag me on IG at @ummulpatrawala, it warms my heart to hear about your breakthroughs and your aha moments as you tuned into this episode. I would love to celebrate with you!

Welcome back to Healing Beyond Physical, so privileged to connect with you. My name is Ummul-kiram Patrawala, your host, intuitive, somatic trauma therapist and resilience coach, and living proof that we have the power to heal beyond the physical and shift our consciousness from states of survival to states of love.
In this episode, I invite you to explore your relationship with death, which doesn’t have to be physical death, it can also be the winter season of our life, where we feel parts of ourselves are dying and making space for other parts to be birthed.
I speak to my own experience and narratives around death and impermanence, the attachment to having certain experiences last forever.
How I found liberation when I sat with and came into acceptance of death. And your invitation, to sit with your truth and your attachments.
Below is a channeled poem that came to me as I leaned into acceptance:
I am sitting at the doorway of death,
and feeling the fears
the deep patterns that have convinced me this is suffering
that this is not welcome
and as I sit with death
I now gently choose to meet her at the doorway
and I find myself saying “ you are welcome here”
And I listen to what she is here to teach me
And at that moment I let go
And sit with her at the doorway of possibilities
Ummul-kiram

My name is Ummul-kiram Patrawala, your host, intuitive embodied energy healer, resilience coach, and living proof that we have the power to heal beyond the physical and shift our consciousness from states of survival to states of love.
What have you been placing your attention on lately, as it relates to your healing?
Have you been focusing on what you “do want” or you “don’t want”?
I unpack how this relates to our physical symptoms and why we so often get stuck in experiencing more of that which we don’t want, 'cause that’s what we place our attention on.
We live in states of depletion versus renewal when we focus on that what we don’t want.
Listen in as I give examples of how this may show up and also what you can do.

This is a vulnerable conversation of me sharing some of the learnings that I gained after the loss of my daughter.
An embodied experience of compassion, the moment where I felt connected to all human suffering, has paved the path for how I serve today and hold space
Deep clarity of what truly matters, and how I keep coming back to these learnings
Giving up the need to control others, specifically my boys.
I close with an invitation to reflect and pause or journal on the learnings I shared.

Today’s conversation with Dr. Renata is about recognizing that healing beyond physical can start with Conscious Conception and pregnancy.
Creating connection and consciously conceiving, is a gift that empowers you to be a cycle breaker, and break cycles that no longer serve you and free your child(ren) from the same.
Renata shares what a conscious pregnancy may entail and how you can create a deep trust between yourself and your babe in utero.
She recommends journaling as a daily practice, during the pregnancy, to witness your experience, your thoughts, your feelings, and your interactions with your babe in utero.

Lea’s journey went from an active, busy, social life to a full break pause when she endured a concussion.
Pressures that showed up during her recovery, and how it created not-enoughness.
How beliefs, mindset, cultural and patriarchal patterns showed up as she was healing.
Why doing more doesn’t always mean progress when you heal beyond the physical, and unlearning that busyness is not a badge of honor.
Her journey of embodying acceptance, and her knowing that recovery is not linear. Listen to the entire episode, so you can find out why her concussion was a detour in the right direction.

Carolyn shares her own journey of acknowledging the healing that is needed on the inside, beyond the physical, and how that embodiment has helped her as she coaches women.
How we are programmed to look for physical changes and the need to have our body look a certain way on the outside. Where this journey stagnates for most women when the focus is strictly on exercising and nutrition.
Carolyn shares her journey searching for validation from the external world and her journey with eating disorders as a teen and how that morphed into seeking validation related to promotions and accolades once she moved into the corporate world.
How motherhood created a turning point for her and opened her up to journeying inwards and fostering a desire to free her girls from generational patterns that no longer serve.

Pain, this word itself can create so many feelings. If you are someone who is feeling stuck as to how to move forward in your healing journey with pain, then I invite you to bring your curiosity and listen in.
I share my own journey with pain and how for many years, the pain was my tiger, I feared it, I hated it, I wished it away, and how it made me feel broken.
The start of creating a new relationship with pain, as I learned and started embodying leaning into discomfort, a concept introduced in my mindfulness training
Where you can start today if you are willing to start shifting your relationship with pain, learn and be guided with the key skill I use for me and share with my clients in my practice.
Lastly, I acknowledge that even things that can serve us may be perceived by our nervous system as a tiger, so the importance of starting this practice gently and at your own pace is key.
Journal:
Was I triggered, as I heard about this idea of befriending pain? Where in my body did I feel it?

In this episode, she unpacks and demystifies pain, why it lasts longer for some people than others, and relates it to a common pain symptom that she sees in her practice, pain during intercourse.
This was such an informative conversation and below are the 10 key things you will want to hear about if you are someone who is witnessing ongoing pain.

We are spiritual beings having a human experience the convergence of finite and infinite.
Healing at a spiritual, emotional, mental, energetic level is not an alternate way to heal, rather it is part of the same puzzle that you see as a physical symptom.
We sabotage our healing journey when we cannot see ourselves beyond our physical body and include the different pieces of the puzzle.
My fertility journey, with losses and not being able to carry a pregnancy. My old belief was that I needed to be fixed and solve this problem.
The gift of conception, when I shifted energetically from a frequency of lack and hustle to that of acceptance and surrender, is a true testament in my life of healing at all levels and that healing is a shift in consciousness, it's about growth, spaciousness and coming home to ourselves.
Are you willing to see yourself as a whole person?
The blessing that found me, was the yogic technology of Kundalini yoga and meditation.
What is Kundalini Yoga?
These restrictions in our body are part of our protective mechanism, that got engaged in moments when we were triggered due to a perceived threat.
What is beneath the physical restriction is stagnancy of energy, and unprocessed e-motion (energy in motion). This is why we feel drained or depleted and lack the energy to do our daily tasks.
Reflection Prompts:
Pearl of Wisdom:
Kirtan Kriya uses a simple mantra - Sa, Ta, Na, Ma. Mastering and committing to this practice will help you rewire your subconscious mind.
That’s when we see the deepest changes, in how we show up to life’s experiences when we free ourselves from limiting thought patterns that are trapped in our subconscious mind.
So powerful! And what I love is I don’t even need to consciously know what pattern I need to change, the Kundalini technology takes care of aligning me with the ones that are aligned with my highest and greatest good.
This practice truly is a game-changer. Commit to it for 40 or 60 days and get ready to witness your own power.
As a special gift to my listeners, please click here to receive access to me guiding you in this practice.
Do you find yourself attached to a timeline in your healing journey? Then listen on.
This episode will uplift and inspire you to move forward with hope. Listen to the entire episode as I guide you with a simple, on the go, practice you can use daily to celebrate progress and to velcro progress into your mind.
Quite often our inner narratives convince us that our work is wasted as soon as any version of the symptom comes back.
What if you can shift your mindset around this? What if “your work is not being wasted, it's just being stored”? (James Clear, Atomic Habits).
Take this in and reflect “Compounding micro-steps leads us to our destination.” What compounding micro-steps have you committed to?
The biggest insight for not losing hope and staying on your path is to see progress. My story of a recent physical symptom that has led to lots of sleepless nights and pain, and how I am anchoring into hope.
“You won’t get to your destination if you don’t bank your micro-steps” and the fixation on the absence of the symptom. The aha in terms of recognizing how the micro-steps have led me to have a far better quality experience moment to moment.
Pearl of Wisdom: Bank your progress by celebrating it and journaling it.
"You won’t get to your destination if you don’t bank your micro-steps." - Ummul-kiram
I remind you that thoughts can become things, and take ownership of the realities we create. Have you witnessed when thoughts become things for you?
My story of yearning to be pregnant while I was in a corporate marketing career path. My experience of feeling beyond exhausted and lack of boundaries. The early signs from my body and my reality of being stuck in “what ifs” thought patterns. How I manifested stopping work and the unexpected traumatic experience that came with it. The awareness of how my thoughts around “I want to stop” had shaped my reality of bed rest.
I encourage you to reflect on your journey, and ask,
"What am I not leaning into this moment?"
"Are you noticing these thought patterns?"
"Once I heal this symptom, then I will be able to play with my kids."
"Once I heal this disease, then I will be happy again."
Look for these thought patterns, and recognize there is an opportunity to get curious as to what needs to be leaned into.
Practical tips to help you meditate:
Know that your thoughts are powerful and wherever you place your attention that grows.
What are you growing in the garden of your mind, flowers or weeds?

In this episode, I unpack what is healing and contrast that to what we strive to achieve, the cure. I see healing as a shift in consciousness away from fear to love, it happens at an energetic level first. And with this knowing, there is an opportunity to shift your mindset, that your symptoms are simply messengers and not the enemy.
When we start with this belief, we can bring in love versus being overwhelmed with fear. Stay till the end and learn one of the go-to tools that I use in my clinical practice to help you shift your attitude from powerlessness to empowerment in your healing journey. This practice will activate heart and brain coherence, (Dr. Joe Dispenza speaks a lot about coherence,) it will guide you to shift your frequency from survival to a state of co-creation.
I close this conversation, by guiding you through an easy and proven tool that will help you come into the driver seat of your healing journey and the supporting science behind it. (shared briefly about not getting pregnant after stillbirth)

In this podcast, intuitive energy healer, Ummul-kiram Patrawala reminds you that healing happens beyond the physical realm. That healing is a shift of consciousness/frequency from fear-based survival states to heart and creation-based states of love. That you are empowered to be in the driver seat of our biology and that healing is an inside job, and we can learn how to activate this innate ability.
Each week, she will share her embodied experiences of healing from autoimmune, to fertility and losses to PTSD, and give you tools and resources that can help you shift your frequency from survival to that of creation of health and wellness. She will also be interviewing thought leaders who hold space for healing beyond the physical and those who embody healing beyond the physical.
