Like Johnny Cash, Shelby and Andrew feel like they've been everywhere, man. Coming off not recording for a month, there was a lot to catch up that included a trip to Hawaii, a trip to Orlando, stops in Fiji, movies and shows watched plus so much more! Along with all of that, a new segment makes a debut.
We've got a podcast! Shelby has some questions about a potential trip she's taking and it just so happens to fit in with our alphabet itineraries. We dive into New Zealand's Queenstown and more. Before that, Andrew talks about Sing Sing!
For the 125th episode, we decided to follow the numbers lead and do two 25 minute topics. Both are travel related. There's also a couple of segments - one a classic and one that many of you will turn off halfway through. We hope you enjoy the show and thanks for listening!
In the second episode of our discussion on social media, we take a look at how Instagram is affecting travel. Whether it's a tourist's expectations, locals of a popular spot or ways these posts can actually help us, we have a wide ranging conversation! We're starting a 2 episode mini series about Social Media, online content and what it does to us both as travelers and people. The alphabet itinerary has returned in the form of the Norwegian capital, Oslo. Andrew shares an itinerary for what he'd do on a trip to Oslo. There's plenty of fjord talk! Before that we talk about a few movies, Shelby questions some lyrics and we talk about Life Changes.
After a week off, Shelby and Andrew have plenty to talk about. They enlist Chat GPT as a mediator and answer a bunch of travel related questions! There's a few wild twists including some Aladdin fantasies, a high school rabbit hole and relating to Saoirse Ronan (which Andrew can not say) characters, naturally. Shelby & Andrew are thrilled to welcome a new guest to the show! Our dear friend Anna joins us in the midst of planning a trip to Japan. She asks questions about the experience and we cover a good amount of ground (from Osaka to Tokyo, at least!) before the questions become a little more broad.
