Welcome to Our 80s Life Podcast! We're Keith and Abby, just a couple of 80s kids living our best life... Our 80s Life! Everyone thinks the decade they grew up in is the best, but those of us who were raised in the 1980's know it's true! The music was AWESOME, the hairstyles were BIG, and we had the time of our lives! Now we're all grown-up and looking for ways to recapture the magic of the 80's. So until someone invents a time machine, we're bringing the spirit of the 1980's to you with fun conversation, stories and rad 80's nostalgia.
The Legend of Billie Jean is one of our favorite 80s movies, but our friends had never even seen it. We invited them over for Dinner & Movie Night to screen it and hear their thoughts on the film. After watching The Legend of Billie Jean, we engaged in a lively conversation where we covered a wide range of topics relating to the movie including 80s mall culture, the Joan of Arc storyline and more. We hope you enjoy revisiting this 1985 cult classic film as we share some thoughts and plenty of laughter!

We attended opening night of Ghostbusters Frozen Empire! Being raised in the 1980s, of course we get excited for a new Ghostbusters movie, and this one didn't disappoint. From new ghost-busting gadgets and characters to classic nostalgic references, this film is 80s approved. It's been 35 years since RoboCop was released in theaters on July 17, 1987. RoboCop was filmed in our hometown of Dallas, and we absolutely LOVE this classic 80's movie! We'll admit, we were late to the party having only just discovered this legacy film a few years ago. After that, we became a bit obsessed and tracked down ALL of the Dallas filming locations from RoboCop, as well the sequel which was filmed in 1989 in Houston, Texas. They seem pretty obsolete now, but do some of these hotlines still exist? We attended an advance screening of the new Top Gun: Maverick, and it was AWESOME!! Not even exaggerating, this may be one of the BEST movies ever made! Of course, we entered the theatre completely biased because we totally love the original 1986 Top Gun film, and we're generally skeptical of sequels (especially when it comes to our favorite classic 80's movies) but Top Gun: Maverick blew us away! In this podcast, we'll share our memories of seeing Top Gun back in 1986 and give our full review of the new sequel. And you won't want to miss the world premiere of 12-year-old Abby's original Top Gun song (LOL!!) You're in for a real treat!
