Our guest speaker for this discussion is Bandita Sashoni who is a tenured Educationalist and FM anchor who has been working in Dibrugarh, Assam for more than a decade now.
Bandita has been serving as a faculty in Gyan Vigyan Academy Dibrugarh, Assam, India for 14 years. She is also engaged with Dibrugarh University's FM station Radio Gyanmalinee 90.8 as a presenter of 4 different programs in relation to youth, culture, environment, and so on.

We don't need mineral water/ bottled water and other purified bottled water.
As the Co-founder of the NGO Modus Operandi, it is my responsibility to share some steps we are taking towards this 🙏
What we need are -
- Cleaner River systems
- Better water purification system
- Rainwater harvesting
- Purified tap water
- We should be able to drink from the tube wells and taps
- We should use traditional organic methods of water purification
These are just some examples to name a few
Drawbacks of Bottled water industry -
- Increased plastic pollution
- Increase in carbon footprints
- Bottled water can still create health problems
- Bottled water might still have contaminants in it
- Bottled water will cost more than tap water affecting your wallet

Bottled water creates a recycling problem for most communities.
