Okay so I'm back again with another recording again with my DJ friend "Milky" and this is a B version of the last video upload inspired by the song "Don't look any further" Alot of people may remember this was covered by M People. There is a saxophone riff played throughout the track which I do like but I wonder how many people remember the original version performed by Dennis Edwards and featuring female vocalist Siedah Garret?
I totally freestyled the saxophone on this track which is what I normally do if I like the vibe and this time my microphone was jacked straight into the mixing desk and we did not create a visual for this so I chose to just go with the image that you see. That also made me think that here at threespeak it would be great if we had something similar to Soundcloud but perhaps it's in the making.
Anyways I hope you like this take on the song and why not whilst you're here explore the other talented musicians and singers at threespeak. I know I am definitely on a mission to get involved with other music projects here and create a few more collaborations. I'm tempted to get the guitar and keyboard out and have a sing and share another side to my music passion that I don't normally get the chance to share.

Firstly, a massive thank you for coming over to my threespeak video channel, my favorite alternative uploading platform as opposed to youtube. It is powered by Hive which has its own blogging platform and very soon I am going put out a couple of tutorial videos on how you can get involved.
So the guy on the right of the cover is a DJ and producer who I first performed with in a nightclub 13 years ago in my home town of Stoke on trent in the UK. He goes by the name of DJ Milky, real name is Nathern and he often plays disco house. Now I had not seen Nathern for a good 5 years until I heard this track come up on one of my social media sites and went to listen to it on soundcloud.
So I went to my kitchen as you can see and played the track through my PA speaker, whilst testing a new radio mic that I purchased recently and created some improvisation and then sent the recording to him. Obviously at the moment it's far from perfect but since this recording, Nathern and I entertained at a wedding and a B version of this song has been created which has involved going down to the studios in the local university as Nathern is in his second year of doing a sound and engineering degree and I'm very tempted to start the same degree next year. Also a small crew production wants to do a film with the new version so i'm very excited about that and it's great to be back in contact with an old friend that I really enjoy working with and entertaining with.
Like I said the recording is far from perfect but this is what I do before mastering the piece that I like, the hard job is actually going back over what I have improvised and then remembering it. So yes the kitchen is where it starts for me partially because it's a massive kitchen and it's at the back of the house. I'm not trying to give a perfect performance and if you're put off by the surroundings I'm not sure about everyone else but I listen to music with my ears not my eyes and you will notice that most of the time in my videos I have my eyes shut when I'm playing for two reasons.
1 It helps me to focus on the music the chords beat instruments, harmonizes the spaces etc
2 You try blowing a saxophone looking in a camera without looking like a bullfrog, it's not happening.
A lot of musicians like myself are perfectionists and although that is a good thing in many ways, the massive drawback is been to self critical can often create delays in putting stuff out and then sometimes what was a good idea then never happens and I'm guilty of that big time but when i'm in the kitchen it's raw it's real, i'm not trying to be famous. If no one is in the kitchen or 10 people are, I'm still going to close my eyes and pour my heart out. The reason why I'm sharing this is because you don't need to be perfect before you get something out there. Get it out there and the more you do, the better you will get anyway just have fun and along the way you will become the best version of yourself if you just keep developing your passion.
I'll be honest, I'm working on taking a day out where I record 4 to 5 music tracks. I slacked so much over the last 10 months because quietly in the background I lost my father unexpectedly and he was a big influence on why I got into music as he was a minister in a gospel church. Back then I was playing the trumpet. I also play a bit of guitar, keyboards and vocals and sung on the set as Atomic kitten, Dina Carrol 911 and a few others, hell yes i'm becoming a fossil now but yeah getting back to what i was saying, it was mentally hard because everytime I played it reminded me of my dad. Everyone grieves in different ways but when September came and my 47th birthday, I was like wow I got 3 months before 2023 kicks in my dad would not want me to be hosting a pity party and mayne if i focus on just doing what i love, if it helps to uplift someone else then it will help me to climb back to where I need to be.
And on that note remember we all climb when we look for others that we can lift up, try and focus on what's good about people rather than what's bad.

So i'm back with a very chilled tune quite meditative that I actually heard been used in the back
ground of tik tok listed as moppy sound ambient piano. I'm trying to find out who wrote
this but so far have only found a 15 minute looped version on youtube and im not sure if
the link I found that took me to sound cloud is where the writer first posted it there.
Does anyone here have any idea?
Personally I think it's beautiful and I certainly got lost in this. I think if you close your eyes it will
have a soothing affect on you, if your feeling a bit stressed it will help to calm you down.
If you need uplifting it may help to motivate you maybe inspire you.
The power of music is awesome. Music can reach the mind and soul deeper than words and if this
does uplift you then I'm 100% happy that i shared this with you.

So for my next session of "Sax in the Kitchen", I have something
extra special to share which I am very excited to share.

I first bumped into about 20 days ago right here in the hive community.
Been a saxophonist that loves to play freestyle to grooves that make me move, I totally loved this backing track that he wrote in celebration of his 400th subscriber on YouTube. His talent and work ethic is awesome not just as a beat creator but musican, vocalist and song writer.
He is from Venezuela and I am over 7830 miles away in England and this is my first collaboration with another artist on the threespeak video platform within this amazing talented hive community.
As soon as I heard this track the saxophone had to come out and I think you will be agree we absolutely smashed this and I totally got lost in the vibe performing to this. There will no doubt be more coming very soon.

Well I was going to edit the start of this video but then I decided to just keep this raw and real because I would like to introduce you to my Vinyl Dj friend Wilf, who has never even used Facebook and threespeak exclusively will be the only place that this dude has appeared online!
I have known Wilf now for 7 years. He is from my home city Stoke on Trent in the Uk and he has been entertaining on his now very huge collection for 40 years. He is the first DJ that go me playing in the local beer gardens and had a good impact on my freestyling skills because he is just a connoisseur of music and gets me listening to so much stuff i have never even heard of, just like the track in this video.

To kind of explain the kind of character that this gentleman has is quite easy when on his 60th a few year back, i witnessed over 400 people turn out to his birthday bash. Never says a bad word about anyone just loves the music. He's part of a group of DJ's called the "Mastercats DJ's including DJ's "Johnny F and Jas" and together they bring a combination of Latin, Funk, Jazz, House, Reggae, Soul and R n B and the average event starts from 3pm till Midnight. The bars love it because people stay in longer and the vibe is always positive and uplifting.
This video is raw and real because i'm sharing a first take and it means prior to saxing it up, I've heard it once but with local beer garden gigs coming up again this year, i want to be prepared with something new so I have some work to do if you can call it work because life is so much better when you actually focus on your passion and can start to make a living from it.
Before we got started, I surprised Wilf with one of my creative food combo's, Jamaican jerk chicken cross mexican dish and he enjoyed it that much the pot I cooked it in got tipped empty of all the tasty juices and he sure made short work of that. It is always great to see other people enjoy your food as well as your music so I was very happy he enjoyed that and it made me think I might just label one session "Clive's Kitchen host an hour show cook some food and inbetween freestyle some sax.

Any way I found this little Gem of a tune which was recorded back in August last year with a talented young lady named Sophie Butler. I heard this song in the studio where she was recording and I loved the sound of her voice and I liked the feel of the song so I asked if I could duet with her on this song that she wrote when she was only 16.

Wow it's been 9 months since my last music upload on hive's threespeak. As most know, the entertainment industry has taken a huge hit like many industries..
So for me and many of my friends who are musicians it's been a very testing long year and a half.
Here in the UK we are just about having a glimmer of hope that things are slowly getting back to some kind of normaility so I was able to grab the opportunity to go and jam with these talented musicians back in the studio a few days back.

After not playing for over year this is how it went down and I can't even explain how it felt to be doing what I love the most. Feeling the vibes loving that bass line, fantastic drums a jazzy feel total improvisation and yeah it's fair to say it felt like "Fire in the house"
I won't be leaving it so long before my next music upload. I 've missed hive and especially threespeak. we all have an amazing platform here and we have some amazing talent and entertainment.

My main passion is I am a saxophonist, musician singer songwriter and I do a bit of affiliate marketing and I am also learning to trade crypto.
I rediscovered decentralized social media about 8 weeks ago at the time of me writing this and started with the blogging platform called "Hive". If I was to compare it to anything I would say think of "Reddit"
About 6 weeks ago, I was introduced to "Threespeak"
Now I'm quite good at YouTube SEO, and I'm not encouraging anyone to stop using Youtube because there is no denying it is the world wide webs second most visited platform.
I am currently going to be working on gaining the 1000 subscribers and the 4000 watch hours in a 365 day period which will then allow me to apply for monetization and receive monetary rewards when people watch adverts on my videos in the future..
HOWEVER!!
It is increasingly becoming a platform where freedom of expression has become a thing of the past and personally I have found it quite challenging when it comes to crypto related content. Unless you have a very good blueprint on YouTube SEO the journey to monetization is a very long process and if you are not uploading 3 to 7 good quality videos each week it can certainly be a very hard almost impossible journey before most people give up. With so many people in your niche it's hard to get yourself noticed amongst the more well established youtubers.
Well Threespeak is a video upload and livestream that allows even the little guys like me to be able to attract a fresh audience quite quickly.
If I could give you a few tips they would include,
Spend a couple of days getting to know the platform. Have a look at trending videos, have a look at the different niches been covered or maybe you have something completely new. Network with other people in similar niches and find out what other communities there are that you feel you could positively contribute to. Remember life isn't all about take so do network with other people who have similar interests and show support and add compliments to other people's posts but don't spam just for the sake of it. Be genuine be you..
It will be a learning curve to start with so except that because you have been used to doing social media on platforms where you don't even get to keep your content and you certainly don't get paid for it when other people like it.

It has been a month now since I have been active using threespeak video uploading and I chose to introduce myself with my main passion which is playing the Saxophone, I entertain alongside DJs and Bands, Events, weddings and now lockdown is been relaxed in the UK, even house garden summer parties. I'm a musician singer songwriter and generally just have a passion to entertain and lift the vibe.
To help me get by I do a bit of affiliate marketing and I've developed a few skills along the way, which at this moment I'm putting to good use to help spread the word and help to educate and inspire other video users and any content creators to come and hive on board and share the benefits of decentralized social media platform that is censorship free, is a great place to meet and create genuine relationships from all over the world who have similar interests, and naturally it's a nice freakin bonus that when others appreciate your content and upvote you, you get rewarded with Hive Crypto.
Again I'd like to thank everyone so far that has supported my journey which is just getting started here.
I am also a crypto trader in training very much at the start of it so for me one of my goals is to earn enough hive so that I can start putting my theory into practice. Well I've been active now in the hiv.blog platform for a month and I've decided to start doing a few reviews to help spread the word and share what we have going on here.

So 4 weeks back I discovered the hive.blog platform but personally for me it was the introduction of @threespeak that really captivated me because it's a video and streaming platform and its functions really help me with the fact that before anything else I'm a saxophonist, musician, singer, songwriter but as a vehicle to help give me more time freedom to focus on my passion, i'm also an affiliate marker and crypto trader in training.
Cutting a long story short I'm very keen on using whatever skills i've developed along the way and use them to share value and influence others to come along and taste the honey I stumbled across at the hive.

This video is another throwback taken by one of my follows from a smartphone so although the visual is not perfect it is one of my favorite freestyle performances alongside DJ Jas Bansal who plays strictly vinyl..
That's the crazy thing with me. None of my public gigs are rehearsed, I just play how I feel the music and i'm able to cover a lot of varying styles but the greatest thing I think I share with most musicians is seeing other people uplifted and creating that party atmosphere.

Another throw back from the summer of 2019 with the mastercats DJ's and recorded in two sections on a fans phone who gave it a black and white look. Kinda reminds me of walking into a cowboy saloon bar. As usual it was the first time I had ever freestyled to this song and even though its cut into two parts I complimented this version quite well.

Warming Up The Sax With The MasterCats- Saxophonist Clive Martin
So it's another throwback from April 21st 2019 at the Red Lion Beer Garden with strictly vinyl DJ's Wilf, Jaz and Johnny F from the MasterCats. Normally this time of year I'd be entertaining a lot around my home town with these guys who who play anything from, jazz funk reggae latin, reggae, ska, house, soul and much more..
Although here i'm just warming up 2 minutes to 3 minutes in, im in my zone bouncing off the beat and music, totally freestyling which is the way i flow.

Very soon i'm going to start dropping some instrumentals written and performed by the band i'm in called "The Subspartans" combining the trumpet, saxophone, guitar, drums and guest musicians.
I also have a PA system been delivered to my house so i'm getting ready to sax up @hive with a a live sax virtual night club night.

I've also recently started using my affiliate skills to spread the word and attract more talent here on 3speak and hive starting a community called "Hive's Got Talent" and I'm very interested to hook up with other musicians and DJ's and anyone that makes beats as i have started to get back in the studio and if you have a track you would like me to sax up and I like it then i'm up for collaborating.
I'll also be mixing it up with some vocals as I do love singing and coming from a gospel background is certainly where my passion was first created.
