In this episode of League Talk, I talk about the Raider's collapse to the Rams on Thursday night football. Along with the new NBA rivalry with the Pheonix Suns and the New Orlean Pelicans.
In today’s episode, I wanted to talk a little bit about the NFL and the NBA with there being about 10 games played by each team you can get a feel for who is playing for a championship and the same thing goes for the NFL. I wanted to focus on one team from each league and talk about their season so far and I wanted to talk about the ones who everyone had high hopes for but as of now they are terrible.
For the NBA we have the LA Lakers and I know most people had a sense they would be bad but nobody thought they would be this bad. 3-10 and in second to last place in the west.
No shooting, No depth, No chemistry, The system doesn't look good.
Lebron missed a couple of games with left abductor strain. Being very cautious considering his age of 37. AD missed some games with an injury and every game seems to be a tweak at his back injury. Westbrook's new role with the system is still trying to fit.
With the NFL for the big disappointing team has to be the Las Vegas Raiders.
This one has to be the biggest disappointment as everyone expected the Raiders to be a serious team with the type of offense they have and considering they have the best WR in the league. 2-7 and one of the worst records in the league
Offensive play calling is terrible, Josh Mcdaniels doesn't look like the guy to lead this team. Defense is not terrible but needs some work on the defensive line. Struggling to get at the quarterback, Chandler Jones where are you? On the bright side they have a good draft pick right now and at this point seems like they are fighting for the first round pick. Darren Waller and Hunter Renfrow sent to the IR.
In this episode, I go over teams who have surprised me so far in the NFL season. I give my thoughts on why the teams have exceeded my expectations and why some teams have not met up to my standards so far into the season.
