We also discuss the unsurprising lack of trust that society feels toward our government and how we can all work to make improvements for the greater good of our country.

Clearly this starts with the family; however, raising children and maintaining a strong family unit is not easy. This, like so many aspects of human existence on planet Earth, requires a great deal of effort and determination.
In this episode of The Modern Enlightenment Podcast, the Knecht brothers discuss the high-level problem(s) facing humanity, possible solutions, and the meaning of "modern enlightenment". This is just the tip of the proverbial iceberg, as a deeper dive into these core issues will follow in subsequent episodes. The main gist is that if we as a species don't improve the quality of our characters, the future of life on this planet is very bleak.... but we feel it is very doable!
The Modern Enlightenment is a new podcast by two brothers who want to make a difference by bringing people together through a constructive dialogue that is informative, rational, and unpretentious. The Knecht (pronounced "connect") brothers are just two regular dudes with jobs, wives, kids, and all of the joys and struggles that come with living the American dream. They are passionate seekers and this podcast is their latest effort in uniting like-minded (and not-so-like-minded people) who share a common desire: to grow as individuals and to make the world a better place.
