Meet Joe! Here is the Bio Joe sent me. He writes better than I can!!
"In the interest of full disclosure, I will explain my pen name, Joseph Stanley. My birth name is
Joseph Stanley Suchocki. My father’s name, Stanley, is the origin of my middle name. So in a
respectful nod to my father, I am using Joseph Stanley as my pen name. I know he would have
enjoyed our names being together in my literary endeavors.
My personality and writing characteristics are based on a variety of experiences. Being
a baby boomer and Capricorn started the ball rolling in January 1946. High school and two
years of college were highlighted by my playing in a true-to-form sixties garage band of
western Michigan fame.
The next major influence was five years (1966–1971) of service in the army; I spent
two years in Vietnam and reached the rank of captain. My claim to fame in service was coming
home in one piece and of sound mind. While I appreciate and understand people thanking me
for my service, I simply saw it as an expected duty to be fulfilled.
After military service, I started working in medical sales and sales management,
eventually becoming an independent entrepreneur. That chapter started with my founding a
national consulting company, where I spent thirty-five years conducting hundreds of seminars
throughout the country and writing policy manuals, newsletters, training programs, and more.
Heading into retirement, I battled depression (see the preface), which launched my
journey into being a fiction writer. I began studying the art of writing, with a goal of creating
and publishing stories in various formats. And as you read this, my journey as an author
continues to be a work in progress.

On this Episode I introduce you to Dr. Andy Riemer. Here is his bio - Dr. Riemer is a board certified Ophthalmologist. After earning his medical degree from Michigan State University College of Osteopathic Medicine and graduating at the top of his class, he returned home to Ludington, Michigan in 1994 to begin Riemer Eye Center. Today, the practice includes four locations: Cadillac, Ludington, Manistee and Shelby, Michigan.Dr. Riemer specializes in cataract and vision correction surgery like PRK. In addition to comprehensive eye exams, he also treats Macular Degeneration, Glaucoma and dry eyes.His medical training includes a medical internship at Ingham Medical Center in Lansing, Michigan and residency training at Michigan State University. He also holds a bachelor’s degree in pharmacy from Ferris State University.In addition to board certification, Dr. Riemer is also a fellow of the American Osteopathic College of Ophthalmology and Otorhinolaryngology. On this episode I talk with Manistee City Police Chief Josh Glass- Chief Glass has a history of leading teams and bringing community together. In 2004 arriving in Manistee as a new officer for the City police department he immediately inserted himself as a community leader. He became a coach for the Manistee High School football team and in that role became a mentor to many of the young men under his direction. He soon took on the role of detective and then in 2020 became Police Chief after then top cop Tim Kozal took on the role of Chief in Muskegon. Josh is in the right seat.
