Welcome to my Podcast, this is my outlet for all things mom, wife & keeper-of-the-home centered. While I'm not an expert in any of these areas, I am also not a complete novice - somewhere in the middle. Let's dive into some pressing topics, grab a pile of laundry and get folding as you listen along and - just maybe - can relate with what I'm saying! I am hoping to upload at least one episode a week, Lord willing. Support this podcast: https://anchor.fm/kelly-castiglione/support

This episode is all about how we view the world, our lens we are using. The lens with we the world from affects our perception of people, things and ideas. It’s heavily responsible for how we act, react and interact with the world around us. What forms this lens, what affects and impacts it, and are we doomed to have the same lens or is it ever-changing? Let’s unpack that together

Can you remember the last time you played outside with your kids in the rain, or let them splash in a muddy puddle at the park and get absolutely filthy while everyone just stared at you in horror for “breaking the social norms”? Maybe you’ve never stopped to take a photo of a gorgeous sunset in the middle of nowhere with cars zooming by, or chatted up the homeless person begging on the corner? When’s the last time you went down the tunnel slide at the local park, unsure of whether you’d fit or need the Jaws of Life to rescue you? Actually, let’s get real basic for a sec, when is the last time you laughed so hard your belly hurt about something absolutely nonsensical out in public? Who decides what the limits are, declares what is socially acceptable or defines normalcy in your life?

Part of me thinks that the doubt is holding me down because I’m meant to do this, and the enemy of my soul does not want to see this succeed. Why would it be easy if it’s worth it? Why would it be worth it if it was easy? Everyone would be doing it, and succeeding. It’s NOT going to be easy. It’s going to be really, really.... really HARD!

Honestly, if you’re going to get anything done in life, you really need to make a strategy. Without a Plan of Action, you’ll be mindlessly moving throughout your day. From the time your feet hit the floor in the morning until your head hits that pillow at night, it will seem to fly by, and looking back you’ll wonder what you actually got done. Friend, you need a sense of accomplishment as motivation to keep going. You need to get your priorities in line and organize your time and life to make the life you want.

Your "Why" gives you a fresh gust of wind when things seem hopeless, and picks you up when life inevitably knocks you down, countless times. Your Why is your purpose in life, what you strive for. It makes you who you are and makes what you do evident to those around you. Your Why keeps you aiming for the goal. It’s the belief that what you’re doing is bigger than you, and it’s the very legacy that will live on long after you...

On any given day, I have at least 5 great ideas before my feet hit the floor in the morning. My brain gears are constantly turning, and they slow down for nothing. My problem lies therein, ideas come to me so quickly sometimes that I can’t grab a hold of them before they fade away into the morning fog, or take a backseat to my desire to run towards the smell wafting from my coffee pot…

Part 2 of a 2 part Podcast entitled The Good Housewife. Recently, there was an excerpt from a 1950's Home Economics class going around on social media, entitled How to be a Good Housewife. It caused quite a bit of controversy, so let's see why! Are these ideas still actionable and realistic in today's modern feministic-driven society?
