Imagine losing your ability to walk when you are 19. You were full of life, fun, and joy and a stupid accident cost you a lifelong injury.
My guest, Amelia Peckham, was seriously injured in a quad bike accident in 2005. She suffered a spinal injury, lost all feeling and movement from her waist down, and was told she would never walk unaided again. During her rehab, she was given hospital crutches and very quickly realised they were not good enough!
It was then her mum Clare sought to find an alternative and the pair realised there wasn't one, so they decided to design, source and launch Cool Crutches. Amelia now works full-time on the business selling Crutches & Walking sticks that are comfortable, silent, practical & safe for long-term use, but that doesn't compromise on style.
When I asked Amelia, what’s your message for our audience, she had 3 words for us, “Go For It”.

In this episode, I had the absolute honour to interview Dr. Bonnie Wims, Counseling Psychologist and founder of the private practice, Wims & Associates.
Dr. Bonnie Wims was professionally trained as a Counseling Psychologist in London, England. While abroad, she founded her private practice, Wims & Associates, and began working with individuals and couples. It was at this point that she began to clarify her mission to work side by side with individuals who held limited belief in themselves and their potential to live a fulfilled life. In addition to working with clients one on one, Dr. Wims has designed workshops and courses on identity and self in a new culture. Upon moving back to the United States, she has continued working online with clients from around the world.

While my personal evidence shows that vision boards backfire, research also shows that focusing on attaining a super long term goal-as opposed to the small steps and to the effort it will take to succeed-will increase your chances of failure.

You probably heard that only 8% of people reach their new year’s resolutions. 92% don’t…

- First, 6-8% of the population is not such a low percentage. If you extrapolate it to, for example, the size of a city like London, it would mean 718,560 people are reaching their goals. This means you probably know a few people who cracked the code! BINGO:)
- If so many people cracked the code, there must be some steps, there must be a formula. Right?!
- If there is a formula, all you need to do is to learn it, adapt it and apply it!
So, instead of asking why it doesn’t work for 92% of people, this episode asks a more pragmatic and practical question.

Annabelle Williams, in her book called Why Women, Are Poorer than Men and Ahat Can We Do About It covers all the reasons why with facts and figures.

Hello dearest friend!
In this episode, I am with Emma Wainer, an awesome woman entrepreneur whose mission is to help other women in business 'own the room' with feminine energy and authenticity by empowering their voice and communication.
Traditionally, I could call her a voice coach, but you will understand from our discussion that she is much more than a voice coach.

Emma has had a gloriously squiggly career, starting in pharmaceutical sales, and then training as a Speech and Language Therapist. How do you build an IG account that reaches thousands while raising your 3 kids?
In this episode, Emily Williams, a content creator and influencer on IG who I have been following for the last 6 years on Instagram is sharing with us her journey as a business owner and mum of 3 young children.

Dr. Vilhauer received her undergraduate degree in psychology at UCLA and her doctorate degree at Fordham University in New York City, and she completed her postdoctoral training in clinical research at Columbia University.

What is the one thing that is the most important in your life? What is the one thing you must protect, cherish & nurture, and value the most?
Mine is time… MY TIME is the most important thing to me.
And guess what? Yours is time as well. There is nothing more precious, more important than your time. You are given 24 hours a day, 365 days a year an average of 80-85 years if you are lucky. It has a limit, it ends… therefore what you do with your seconds, and minutes counts the most.
I can hear people saying what about health, family, happiness…
No not health, not wealth, not mindset, not your children, not happiness… YOUR TIME on this earth is the only thing that matters. It is the base of it all. You have to have time to build and enjoy your health, you have to have time to pass it with your family, and you have to have time to create and honour happiness and joy. TIME is gold, time is the only wealth that we all have.
Take time away, you have nothing left.
So, in this episode, I will share with you five ways of expanding your time by protecting it and optimising your relationship with it. These are the practices I have learnt, discovered, tried and adopted to ensure that I spend every single second, and minute of my day and life with intention.

Would you agree if I said determination is key to success? Pretty cliché ha?
Howcome despite the fact we know this we lose determination? What makes us lose our determination...? Research shows that "uncertainty" and feeling uncomfortable with uncertainty, is the number one determination killer.
Imagine this: If I said to you if you cold-call 10 people that you don't know every day for 1 year your business will be a million-dollar business..., even if you hated cold calling it would be much easier to do it. Most importantly, even when you don't feel like it, you can continue doing it... because you have the guarantee that it will work.
Alas, no one can give you any guarantees in this game of business management. Uncertainty is the middle name for entrepreneurship.
I decided to make this episode to shed a light on this journey of roller coaster that we call business ownership.
What are the usual patterns in microbusinesses, what happens in your business at different stages and what should you be doing as the proud owner, how should be adapting?
One of the most difficult things for a micro business owner or solopreneur is to understand the stages of growth that their business is going through and know what shall they be doing to limit the teething pain and grow stronger.
Every business goes through 5 different growth stages…and, on different scales, every business suffers from similar types of pain and symptoms.
Don’t get me wrong, growth is positive for a business and the positive symptoms can be pretty positive like, stabilised income, growing income, new clients, less effort in selling as people know about you and come to you directly a big pipeline of new inquiries and a growing team of people.
Negative symptoms mostly happen during the transition phases and are also pretty common. Too much work (more than you can handle) new systems to integrate, new things to learn, less cash in the bank (because you are investing), new members of the team to deal with, everyone asking you the solution, less quality from clients perspective…
