Two Mental Health Therapists and an OT get together to discuss the truths and myths regarding neurodivergence. Listen as they share their clinical experiences as well as interview those with or impacted by Trauma, ADHD and Sensory Differences, in a quest to change your mind about these diagnosis.
The ABC model has been used for many years in attempts to change behavior; however, there are many things which it doesn't take into account. Listen and Danielle and Charlotte talk about the problem with the ABC model, what it's missing and how we should be looking at symptoms instead of behaviors.
Danielle saw the following meme on Facebook, posted by a fellow professional, and it really triggered this conversation,
"IDK who needs to hear this, but you're not overwhelmed. You are lazy and unorganized. Wake up earlier. Get an agenda book. Create a routine. Create boundaries (say no). Stick to your schedule. Write down and adhere to your deadline. You are standing in your own way".
Listen along for what we have to say about that...
