Calvary Chapel has been formed as a fellowship of believers in the Lordship of Jesus Christ. Our supreme desire is to know Christ and be conformed to His image by the power of the Holy Spirit. We are not a denominational church, nor are we opposed to denominations as such, only to their over-emphasis of the doctrinal differences that have led to the division of the Body of Christ.

The Works of the Flesh (Galatians 5:19-21)

Walking in the Spirit (Galatians 5:16-18)
I. The believer is commanded to walk in the Spirit (Galatians 5:16).
II. There is a battle going on in and for our lives (Galatians 5:17).
III. In order to live in victory, we must be led by the Spirit (Galatians 5:18).
Who’s Your Mother? (Galatians 4:21-31)
I. You are either the son of a bondwoman or a freewoman (Galatians 4:21-23). II. The two moms represent two covenants (Galatians 4:24-27). III. As believers, we are children of the promise (Galatians 4:28-31).
Promise Versus Law (Galatians 3:15-25)
I. God has given an unchanging promise (Galatians 3:15-18). A. God made an unchangeable covenant (3:15). B. The covenant was according to the promise made to Abraham and his Seed (3:16). C. The promise takes precedence over the law (3:17). D. The promise cannot be superseded by the law (3:18). II. The law had a limited purpose (Galatians 3:19-25). A. The law was temporarily added to reveal sin (3:19-21). B. The law shuts us up together under sin (3:22-23). C. The law was our tutor (3:24-25). Application: You are freed from the law in order to freely serve God in Christ.
“The Crux of the Matter” (Galatians 3:10-14)
I. Those who rely on the law for justification are cursed (Galatians 3:10-12). A. You would have to obey the law perfectly (3:10), B. Justification is not by the law, but by faith (3:11). C. The law and faith are incompatible (3:12). II. Those who depend upon the cross of Christ for their justification are blessed (Galatians 3:13-14). A. Christ redeemed those who believe from the curse of the law, taking the curse for us (3:13). B. Those who believe receive the blessing of Abraham (3:14).
