Psalms 27:14
Wait patiently for the Lord. Be brave and courageous. Yes, wait patiently for the Lord.
Hebrews 10:22 let us go right into the presence of God with sincere hearts fully trusting him.
Psalm 143:8
Let me hear of your unfailing love each morning, for I am trusting you. Show me where to walk, for I give myself to you.
Prayer is relational. It’s a conversation. It ebbs and flows. There is speaking and listening. We believe it’s time for us to take a break from speaking and start listening to what God is saying. So for the next 40 days we are going to spend time listening to God. As we read a different passage together every day, prepare your heart and choose to listen. Because God is speaking. He is speaking to you. As we read each passage together listen for what God is saying about your life, your community, and the Church. Respond however you like and however works for you. You may want to write down what God’s saying. You may want to just store it in your heart. You may want to share it with a friend. But, as this new year starts, take a moment to rest and listen. Because God is speaking.
