My name is Hussam EL Hage and I'm on a journey to understand this world with all its strangeness and uniqueness from my unique perspective.
Earlier this year I made a real and conscious choice to take my health more seriously.
This coincided in my new role and responsibility as a father and when looking at my child one day I realized that if I will continue down this path of destructive eating that I will very soon become a burden to my family. Obesity is directly correlated to disease and illness and I decided right there and then I will not succumb to that path.
3-4 months later and my life has already improved significantly and I still have a long way to go.
However I realized that by being selfish and focusing on becoming the best version of myself that I can be, I began to positively impact the people around me.
Burgers & Hummus is an Arab American's journey to learn and grow in today's world.
