I struggled to create this mix. It's hard to say what was difficult, but it wasn't like I could just intuitively decide on one track after another. But after listening to it later, I think the result was not bad at all. I hope everyone enjoys it.

When I decide on the first track at Mixcloud Live, I don't even know what the last track will be. I enjoy the process of deciding on tracks as I mix. If I just play the tracks on a predetermined track list, it's not much fun while I'm DJing. So I would say that this mix was created in the midst of my creative excitement.

One artist in particular featured in this mix is Gadi Mitrani (tracks 1 and 6). He is an artist who makes very good music, but I have only had a few of his tracks. Recently, I bought a selection of my favorite tracks from his entire catalog so I can play them on Chillout Deep Vibes. There are many other tracks in this mix, including a good one by Erdi Irmak. As those of you who listen to my Mixcloud Live know, Chillout Deep Vibes also has improved sound quality from this mix. I think the sound is richer and has more of a sense of sound pressure. I hope you enjoy the better sounding Chillout Deep Vibes.

The first and third tracks have Japanese lyrics and I would like to explain them. The first song is Ambient by Bodaishin. "Welcome to this magical world. A place where the unreal becomes real. Where the mind leaves the body, illusions create energy, souls, dreams, our inner being." That's what she says in Japanese, although it's hard to hear some of the words. The third piece was Erdi Irmak's Ink Brush, a 17th century haiku by Matsuo Basho, which I have covered before, so let me briefly explain. In modern language, it says, "The time has come for this shabby hermitage, which I have grown accustomed to living in, to be replaced. Someone will move in later and decorate it with Hina doll to make it more gorgeous." That's what it means. There are many other good songs. Enjoy listening to them all.
I recently updated the Chillout Deep Vibes set. I've expanded the Chillout Deep Vibes set to include new expressions while retaining the best of the past. I hope you enjoy listening to the new set, which includes some artists that I have not used very often in the past.

This week we welcome yiorgos representing DHAKL. Yiorgos (George) is a Greek Cypriot.
Born and raised in the south of Jozi, South Africa, Yiorgos' early influences include the legendary Carl Cox, Erick Morillo, Frankie Knuckles, Dave Seaman and the legendary Danny Tenaglia.
In his early 20's Yiorgos found a love for and became infatuated with deeper, darker, melodic, minimal underground rhythms and driving bass-lines.
The undertones and resonances in his track selection reflect his unique multicultural heritage (Greco, Afro & Egypto-Arabic).
Yiorgos has featured on ZA's D'Vibe Rekords Radio, Laminin Music's "The Phonic Escape", Blewbox, Culture Connection Radio (NYC), Sultry Sounds with AbouT_Time(UK), Underground Kollektiv Radio (UK), Ibiza Stardust Radio (ESP)and Deep House Auckland (NZ).
