One hundred and fifty-nine years ago, slave traders stole Lorna Gail Woods� great-great grandfather from what is now Benin in West Africa. Her ancestor, Charlie Lewis, was brutally ripped from his homeland, along with 109 other Africans, and brought to Alabama on the Clotilda, the last known slave ship to arrive in the United States. Today, researchers confirmed that the remains of that vessel, long rumored to exist but elusive for decades, have been found along the Mobile River, near 12 Mile Island and just north of the Mobile Bay delta.

Five former Memphis police officers were indicted on charges including murder and kidnapping for their actions during the arrest of Tyre Nichols earlier this month. The charges were announced by Shelby County District Attorney Steve Mulroy. The officers, Tadarrius Bean, Demetrius Haley, Justin Smith, Emmit Martin, and Desmond Mills Jr., have each been charged with second-degree murder, aggravated assault, two charges of aggravated kidnapping, two charges of official misconduct and one charge of official oppression.

Dr. Ken Harris spoke about plans to build a new juvenile detention facility in Milwaukee that are moving forward after the Milwaukee Common Council voted in favor of rezoning the construction of the facility. The facility at 7030 W. Clinton Ave. will replace the state's existing youth prison, Lincoln Hills School for Boys and Copper Lake School for Girls, located outside Irma. The last action needed for the youth prison is Mayor Cavalier Johnson's signature. The Milwaukee Common Council's Zoning, Neighborhoods and Development Committee voted 5-0, approving the rezoning and then the proposal headed to the full Milwaukee Common Council. The Tuesday vote approved rezoning the property from industrial light to detailed planned development, which will now allow construction.
Two Memphis Fire Department employees have been relieved of duty while an internal investigation is conducted in connection with the death of Tyre Nichols, a Black man who died days after a traffic stop. The employees were involved in the initial patient care of Nichols. Tyre Nichols died on Jan. 10, three days after he was stopped by Memphis police for reckless driving, he fled the scene but eventually was taken into custody after what Memphis police say were two "confrontations" with its officers. According to the family, the police beat him so badly that he became unrecognizable, and he was tased, pepper sprayed and restrained during the incident.

Milwaukee County is Broke! The county is looking to generate revenue by increasing the county sales tax by .5%. At the same time Milwaukee County sends 2 billion dollars of our tax dollars to the state of Wisconsin making up a large share of funding sent to the state. Dr. Ken and fans debate on whether we should be bearing the brunt of this sales tax and if the state should send us more revenue.
Milwaukee County Circuit Judge Borowski admitted to making a wrong decision by releasing Ernest Blakney back into the community after being found guilty of sexually assaulting a 13-year-old girl. Dr. Ken listened to the interview multiple times and thinks the judge lacked true remorse and doesn�t truly understand the pain and harm he caused with his decision.
