The Cosmic Egg (A Guided Meditation)

BY FRANCESCA C. SIMON

In the beginning there was darkness Deep within the womb of the Divine One. Within the silence was a seed of being; A point of light so bright, yet out of sight.

Then a sound from the One Soul Came forth and The Creator gave birth. That hidden light became so bright That it vanquished the Cosmic Night, And this was the dawning of Life.

Quietly it swept through ageless voids and spaces deep And The Word took form. The Universe was born. Stars and skies and mountains high, Rivers and seas with land in-between; Beings the divine force blessed with movement Filled the waters and the trees.

And with one pure breath and a thought well sent The Creator touched the sands and With a prayer made Divine Man. Then placed within its breast, a silent secret lamp Filled with light and life and love Created from above.

So now shining within you Is this secret pure and true That can tell you what to do When you seek to be born anew. It is your soul, your priceless gold That tells you all you need to know. Listen now and hear it speak In whispers of light and soul music sweet. Take one deep breath and you begin your sacred ascent Through ancient times to realms divine.

Take two deep breaths And begin to sense Yourself covered in a shell, But don’t be tense. This shell is light – it’s soft and nice.

It covers you with colors soothing yet bright. See soft white light with streams of gold Begin to penetrate your soul. Pastel pinks, yellows and blues are surrounding you through and through.

You are in the Center of Unity And you are completely free. Cosmic kindness, opened minded Pours out calmness, wisdom and peace. You are endowed with Cosmic blessings and Overwhelmed with gratitude for Receiving what you seek.

Take one deep breath and be reminded That the Creator will provide you With every single thing you need – Just as the life-power nourishes the seed.

Take two deep breaths and know your divineness Is your birthright and a Covenant that is binding. In silence now break through your shell And be reborn from the Cosmic Egg.

There are exactly 19 days left until the end of 2020. This is the time of year when I begin to review my year. I review the goals I set for 2020 and I evaluate how successful I have been in reaching my goals. This process helps me to begin to formulate my goals for 2021 and how I can begin to chart my course now to be ready to put them into action at the stroke of midnight and January 1, 2021 starts a new tick-tock on the clock. Don’t be discouraged — keep your dreams alive! Concentrate on your dreams, Contemplate the possibilities of your dreams. Meditate and listen for answers for solutions, directions on how to proceed toward your dreams, revelations on improving your dream! Explore! Experiment! Experience!

My methods of meditation or not tied to any specific religion or culture. As a Rosicrucian, my studies have been an expedition to discover the essence of universality in all religious and cultural meditative practices. Ultimately, the benefits of any meditative practices are universal. These three keys are my “Holy Trinity of Meditation” They lead me into a depth that settles in my center - that inner core of balance and peace. Often people don’t meditate because if they’re feeling anxious or angry or frightened or too fidgety to sit still. Finding something to concentrate, for me, is a preparatory step for meditation. For me, journaling is often the first step of my meditative process. It provides a focus, which zeros my mind in on the activity of writing. The action of moving my hand across a cool piece of paper, with a pen as my guide, begins the process of release, to move me into the meditative state! Concentration, in practical mysticism, means bringing all of the conceptional, creative, directive power of the mind to a focal point. That is what journaling does for me!

The truth can be terrifying. We begin to get quiet and allow our deep thoughts to rise to the top of our consciousness, it can be a bit scary. Someone may even become angry because of a memory that surfaces that they haven’t really dealt with and moved on. What we ignore, persists! Uncertainty is now our constant companion during Pandemic 2020. We are anxious. We must do the heavy work of facing our fears. Meditation provides an opportunity for us to create a safe environment within ourselves to carefully extract what we are willing and ready to examine. It is in silence that we can receive clarity and instructions from the universe on how to move through our challenges and capitalize on our opportunities.

Meditation is an exploration into the ocean of your own consciousness — don’t be afraid! Sometimes you just need to dive in! Do you know how comfortable you feel after you have enjoyed a great meal. Don’t you often feel like you want to just stretch out and relax? Don't you normally begin breathing deeply? Maybe for you this is a good time to explore Meditation. Instead of lying down and taking a nap, try sitting in a chair with your feet flat on the floor your palms down on your thighs, and your spine straight. Then just breathe deeply, rhythmically and slowly - - just feel where it leads you. Meditation does require discipline, dedication and determination. But in the beginning of your exploration into meditation, I am suggesting that you have a playful attitude. Don't you want to make it fun, so you will want to do it again – – soon! ? Many individuals make the mistake of trying to stop thinking. You cannot eliminate your thoughts. You must learn to simply allow them to swim through your consciousness like fishes in an aquarium. You watch them float by, but you don’t attempt to reach out and touch them to make them stop swimming. You just let them flow on by. You can never eliminate your thoughts. However, once you begin to accept their presence they will seem to fade into the background, freeing you to focus more easily on your breathing. Every day most of us download something -- books, music, videos, movies, etc. But believing believe it or not, meditation will allow you to download information from your own subconscious mind and eventually you will begin to develop the ability to download from the Divine Mind. Scientists like Einstein, musicians like Mozart or Prince or Todd Rundgren, and other geniuses and creative souls have done the same. You can to with practice, patience and persistence.

Meditation is a love affair when Divinity, become your “Beloved One”! You long to be in the presence of that energy. The memory of those moments of silence, and calmness and peace create a deep desire to have the experience again. ADORATION is the key that unlocks the door of desire for that intimate connection. Then meditation is no longer a chore — you don’t have to force yourself to do it. And when you begin to feel the benefits of calmness and inner peace, your body becomes more relaxed and you want to make time to be with your Beloved. You’re in love and long to be in constant contact through meditation. It is possible! Breathe deeply, slowly, rhythmically and await the arrival of your ”Beloved”in meditation.

Meditation is a love affair between you and Divinity. If you make meditation a sport you miss the point! As you experience more calmness and relaxation in your practice you will want to do it more often! Meditation is not a sport! There is no need for a scorecard. Meditation is not a competition to win. Meditation is being connected to the ”One Source” seeking for guidance, inspiration and re-creation.

Discipline is indeed needed in order to build up when I called “mystical muscle“ — inner strength training. But more important is building up a sense of feeling fulfillment, an intimate desire to dwell in the presence of “Divine Silence” — being at peace in the presence of “The Divine”.

You know how wonderful you feel after having a deep sleep? Meditation can bring you to a deep state of relaxation that makes me feel as if you’ve had a restful sleep. However, you must develop the discipline to prepare for sleep. Here are 3 important steps to do 1. Bathe or shower before preparing for bed 2. Designate the time to get into bed 3. Remove your cell phone from your bed and keep it beyond your reach, so you will not be tempted to surf the net! And set an alarm clock to wake you up. 4. Turn off all the lights, lie on your back, then begin doing deep belly breathing. 5. Now, begin to concentrate on relaxing your body, visualizing light moving from the tie of your toes all the way up to your head. These steps will prepare you to enter deep sleep and be open to your dreams. Our dreams provide an opportunity for our subconscious mind to share information, insight and inspiration with our waking mind, known as the self-conscious mind. This is one of the easiest ways to begin learning to meditate. Mastering deep breathing will make it easy for you to go into a meditative state more easily. If we can learn to ease into sleep, then we can more easily move into the meditative state anytime — day or night. This is a experimental episode to see if you would like me to record some guided meditations to help you fall asleep. Your feedback is appreciated.
