Always been wanting to contribute to this community by submitting to a contest about nature stuff, and now is the time! Now or never! Hehehehe. Since after reading they will declare a "Christmas break" I had to find something simple and easy yet amazingly natural subject for a start.
So I chose this Topic for my ENTRY in this last competition before the Christmas break. :)
"The Life of Rice Plants - The Moment of Harvest"
Why rice plants you ask? The images and video's you see were the same rice plants that grew together with me while I was practicing my golf at the range. Golf ranges in Taiwan especially where I practiced were surrounded with rice fields all around the range.
So as I come to practice my swing I get to also see the plants grow little by little... slowly yet surely.
As the sunny days come by the field looks magnificently bright green and having each plant almost the same height as the other with thousands upon thousand of rice plants... it looks really nice and refreshing. Especially with the wind it seems the rice plants as a whole seems to look delighted and enjoying being at the moment. The wind makes the rice plants leaves move in sync and it makes it look like they are joyfully dancing in waves. Funny thing to imagine while I am swinging my clubs... kinda silly but its so very pure and honest.
After practice as I exit out I walk towards the plants to take a closer look. And man... they are really growing very healthy. Not a single plant looks sick and there is so much wind movement that there is not much space for pests to intervene. As a group the rice plants looks like they are in perfect sync with one another and has a very positive vibe to it.
I guess this is what the "Amazing" part of nature is really all about. I can sense it... the rice plants individually they just are another grass plant. However when I see thousands of thousands of the same plant in perfect unison, in line, same species, same color, same height... it gives off a collective vibe that there is presence in the moment. I can sense it... but cannot really explain or prove it. I just know its there.... and its pretty freakin AMAZING actually. :)
I had to take photos to show the details and I had to also take some video's to show how they look and feel as a collective. All this experience with some golf practice.... Perfect. What a good moment to be in.
Its also funny one day when I came for another round of golf practice I noticed that the rice plants were all harvested and all that remained was.... emptiness... like a bald spot on earth... hollow. The energy that once was was not noticeable anymore.... Sad even. Its funny how I felt like this for a rice plant. But nevertheless they have lived an great life of being Rice. The ones who are going to eat them will feel just as good as they were... lucky them. I hope the rice I eat has been processed like the ones I grew up together during my golf practice. :)
Writing this makes me think its kinda dumb to put feelings in rice plants... hahahahaha. But when you see them grow from beginning all the way to the end harvest... it seems like it also creates a tiny but apparent emotional bond with the plants.
A giff animation showing the transition of the rice plants.
Thanks for checking out my post. I hope to share more experiences of what I see and worth sharing in life and in work. :) Cheers~
Set the Tone!!!~~
*** By the way - Below is a picture taken when there the farmer is taking a break and when the fields are being left alone and not taken care of.... the entire place gets engulfed with grass and weed. Its really amazing how nature just takes it right over... it became just a field of grass and weed!! Crazy! :)

I have a good friend in China who shares similar hobbies with me however I can say he is rightfuly a real professional when it comes to the hobbies I do. However there is one particular hobby he has won a championship in China for RC Helicopter Stunts. I didn't really know what that was until he showed me with my own eyes on what an RC helicopter can do. And I kid you not... it can defy gravity and space. How in the world such a scale model can act so alien... it really looked like it was something out of this world. I took a video however it cannot explain the extreme craziness how that thing moved in the air.
I have posted a clip on he was trying out his friends helicopter (not his own at the time) and he just nails it with the controls... its amazing how he can fly other people RC copter like its his. He has gained an amazing reputation as well and fellow RC pilots let him fly thier helicopters so he can show me how these can be so amazing in flight. His english name is George and currently runs a hobby airplane/drone product development and manufacturing in China Shenzhen. Thanks a lot George ol buddy~

My bud @solominer and I visited his Alpharreta community farm where he farms various plants and keep his bee hives. He wanted to show me so I brought my drone with me to take some shots. I was still pretty new at flying drones at the times so my video footage control is all over the place. hehehehe. @solominer has always been sided with nature every since I met him and his new place in VA is the most nature hardcore he has accomplished. The community garden he mentioned he helps the owner to check up on the farming grounds and equipment while solo has permision to keep his bee hives here. The video I tried to capture is just a quite peaceful hangout day with Solo. If you hangout with him its pretty peaceful and I feel comfortable as well especially when we lite up a joint or a bong.... yeaaaaaaaa. :) Always a good of mine... and now you get to see both of us in one video~~~
I believe this was the last video we took together as I was heading to Taiwan and now Solo is heading to Virginia. Not sure if we will ever meet back in Georgia... but will probably visit him in VA. @solominer homie~~ Good times man.
PEACE!

Ever since I saw Predator the movie when I was young This was 1987 and action movies was really a thing at the time. This is when a whole bunch of sci-fi hit action movies were making headlines. Aliens, Terminator, Robocop, Predator... these were some really cool times to be in the movie industry.
From the movie predator I remember very clearly how advanced the enemy was when it came to the technology it used and till this day, every time I see thermal vision or night vision it really only reminds me of one thing.
Predator Thermal Vision I gathered some clips from the web gif files to show how cool and iconic these scenes were... of course if you see it now.. it definitely looks outdated but in the 80's Thermal Vision was unheard of.... as a matter of fact in 1987 I was just 7 years old. So of course movies dont seem like movies when you are 7 years old watching a rated R movie which I have no idea how I watched it but at the time it was pretty normal.
My father in law in Taiwan has a friend who likes to hunt and catch wild boars and bring them into his farm. He borrowed a device that looked like a scope... but it seemed it was not really for a rifle. I was still not very interested because I never seen one this compact in real life. and as I was taking a closer look of this scope... I realized that it didn't' have an optical lens.....
It was out of battery at the moments so I could look into it... and as a scope it doesn't say THERMAL VISION out loud (which is very good in terms of design). I didn't know until it snapped on to me.
"Wait a minute.... is this???? Can it really be????? Real thermal vision monocular used in the military? It cant be... they are extremely expensive... why would father in law use a thermal vision?"
The brand was there so I used my phone to google it up... and my lord this was like the mother of all night vision scopes.... JACK POT.
Thanks for visiting~
Today I wanted to some tech stuff I like to share with. It was an opportunity I was lucky to catch. Because I dont think I will buy a $4000 thermal just to play with it. Its godly expensive... and thankfully I got to play with it for several weeks before giving it back to its owner.
Tune in for more techy stuff~

I used to visit here with my friends just to hang out back then. The bar had some good friendly vibes and overall just relaxing with a lot of young peeps. This is a video collage of some of the memories I had with the people I met and got to know. Its been some time now and I wonder how everyone is doing. Most of all, I wonder if the place is still there.
Brings me back some good nostalgia...
Taiwan bars seems to be a lot more relaxed and laid back. It even serves as a place for group gatherings during the day time for other events. I have been living in Los Angeles before and it for sure has a different vibe than in Taiwan. :)
Lets the good vibes roll~~~
and the best part is the bars name - Mary Wanna.
hehehehehe.... miss that too. hmmmm. :)

I went to Singapore with my family for the first time to experience how good it is because I heard so many good things about Singapore from everyone who visit there before. I will try and create a blog post on it soon however one thing I did want to highlight is the zoo. To be honest I never seen such a clean zoo in my entire life!!! At the same time the animals there seem so chill and some animals like the Lemur you see in the video is just hanging around in the open. I have never seen a lemur up close like this before so when we saw the lemure staring right at us I was a bit scared. However, I quickly realized that they were are friendly and some people even got to pet them. It seems like they also enjoy the company of people as well.
What interesting animal they are... I wonder if some people actually keeps these as pets. It would be so cool to have one... thier eye are so bright and focused its amazing!!

Sometimes capturing nature from the sky is extremely satisfying to see and always amazes me how small we are. :)
Especially when viewing myself from a drone up in the air.
I have always loved how drones operate and with the combination of HD camera resolution a birds eye view never looked better.
I have been playing around with my DJI Mavic Air 2 for some time and I really do enjoy the manuverability of the sports mode. Its fast yet stable enough to get great video captures that is smooth. The first person view camera mode really give it a fighter jet kinda feel when making hard angle turns in the air.
So for the drone has served me well~~ I was lucky at times too... my drone almost plunged in the water but recovered on impact.
Its a great drone to up your game. :)

I have always wanted to know how to scuba dive due to the fact when I went snorkling in Thailand for the first time in my life I felt the sensation of weightlessness.
True 100% absolute feeling that I didnt feel my body weight being drawn towards gravity and in the clear water about 3 meters deep I felt a sense of peace and calm for a brief moment. With my mind in a state of bliss in the warm ocean I felt like I was actually flying and floating above the air... I started to make believe and imagining the corals were buildings in the city and I was in the sky looking down at the city... it was pretty fun. Felt like a child at the moment too.... I guess these are the feelings of our own true happiness... inner happiness I guess.
Either way, the next logical step was to figure out how to scuba dive.
Luckily in Taiwan I heard that scuba diving is well developed here and price is also great compared to other countries. I didnt hesitate and got my wife together to get our scuba diving license. We enrolled in a scuba diving school called SSI, and I heard once you get a licesnse then you can use it internationaly anywhere... shwwweeeeet! :) The video is taking our final field test in action... the test was so fun. I wish all tests were like this.. hehehehe.
Thanks for watching!!!

Testing out the chest mount for my GoPro Hero5 to see if its comfortable to use in long periods of use outdoors while doing some basic activities.
Just a simple day of my life in Georgia USA... nothing special just doing errands and checking stuff out. :)
The original GoPro Chest mount by the way is a great buy for those who would like to do similar views as this video.
First person cam that is sturdy and comfortable. I approve!
This is the one I used in the link below.

I would like to begin with how I got into 3D printing.
Since as a profession I am a product designer I have always thought that utilizing these one day would help me get work done much more accurately and quickly. Because I dont care how great it looks on the screen... nothing beats evaluation design when you can actually feel in and see it in real life.
The real details~ check out my blog.
Thanks!~~

I took a footage at night at my friends neighborhood with my drone to show how beautiful Alpharetta Georgia is during the night time. At a birds eye view the warm yellow lights are so amazing when viewed from the sky.
This is definetly a place where I would love to live in Georgia~~ By the way... flying a drone at night time is not easy... It was very easy to get directionally disoriented even with the guided LED's... Took some time to figure out where I was after flying for a good 10 mins.... luckily I made it safe and sound again. hehehehe.
Dont you guys think Alpharetta is so beautiful? Thanks for watching!
Cheers

I was flying my drone and wanted to get some good footage of the water.
Little did I know the view of the water didnt look so close on camera... however I learned it the hard way by skimming through the surface of the water. I barely made it through~~~ wow... it was such a close call.
I hope everyone who is flying drones near water take some extra care~~~ :)
The video pretty much explains it all~~~ hahahaha.
Thanks for viewing~

I was walking around in Hsinchu and found a temple that was burning the blessings up to the heaven above. and Wow the fire was burning so brightly and bursting with energy. It was just very enchanting to see live fire like this. Beautiful....
https://3speak.tv/watch?v=whangster79/wyvxllvl
I am surprised every time I see how fire burns. I saw a temple were burning off some blessings (its kind of like money for the Gods that is used for burning).
Fire... looks so alive. I feel like its almost human... it starts small but grows big.... it eats and poops (wood to ashes), it moves (dances), spreads... have babies... and it also dies out. Amazing.......
