Autism and the challenges that come along with it thought it was going to control my life, but it had no idea who it was dealing with. I’m a fighter and this diagnosis has made me even stronger since I had to put on my cape and stand strong as a super advocate for my child. I’ve been an autism mom for nearly 20 years, and the struggle is beyond real. I refuse to settle for what society believes should have been my norm, to tuck my child away and let life pass him by as if he were a nobody. Children with autism have potential, even if only one parent recognizes it. That thread of hope will shed light on what many see as a hopeless situation.

As a registered dietitian and physician assistant, I utilized my knowledge in my profession to turn my son’s condition around to the best of my ability. My most exciting accomplishment was finding the missing piece of the puzzle that converted my son from nonverbal to verbal, with just a simple diet change.

This podcast will open eyes to the many challenges that autism parents struggle with, and it will change the lives of millions of people across the world. Never give anyone the responsibility to have faith in your child’s abilities because no one will ever put in the effort that your child deserves as you can.

Sometimes, only a few simple words can pave the path for an autistic child to have a brighter future. I am confident that my journey alone will make a difference in someone’s life. If my knowledge and the experience I share help just one person, then I know my journey was not in vain. This podcast will not only educate, motivate and give parents and caregivers hope, but it will empower parents to take courageous steps to be the gamechanger in their child’s life. Be your child’s strongest advocate in every aspect, they are depending on you!
