Ah yes, the difficult 8th episode… It has all the raw fury of the early years, but with the sort of complex layers that come with maturity. It’s a heady melange of everything that made Release The Clowns great. With some fart noises thrown in. 4 stars.
So it’s New Year’s Day and you’ve started yet another year with a dreadful hangover. Well, to cheer you up, here’s an auditory hair of the dog, choc full of everything from cats to Jehovah’s Witnesses to psychotic grannies. So wrap up in a blanket, snuggle down on the sofa and enjoy. Happy 2018!
Merry Christmas everybody! And to get you Ho-Ho-Hoing, the Release The Clowns Christmas Special is here. That’s right, the sketch show that brings you 15 minutes of peak silliness every Monday has gone all festive. Featuring exasperated elves, free jazz, military manoeuvres, top turkey tips and what happens when a child is born. It’s better than sprouts, socks, the Queen’s speech, fat men in chimneys, family arguments, Christmas pudding fires, waiting for the pubs to open and unsolicited partridges in pear trees.
Release The Clowns Episode 5. Well, would you Adam and Eve it? There’s funny goings on in the Garden of Eden; cops struggle to name their next operation; there’s some saucy role play and someone’s trying to take over the world. Just a normal week at Clowns HQ.
Release The Clowns Episode 4: A New Hope. It is a period of civil war… in one sketch, but not in any of the others. Evil is afoot on the Orient Express, but that’s hardly a rebellion. Yes, the Star Wars metaphor really didn’t stretch far far away… But that aside, here’s our latest show! We hope you enjoy it and, as ever, if you do, please tell the world! If you want to make a placard and stand in your town centre with it, that’s fine by us.
Three has been a special number throughout history – the Triumvirate of Caesar, Pompey and Crassus; Richard The Third; and Rocky III, to name but three. Now, to top them all comes the third episode of Release The Clowns. Yes, we’re back to spread some cheer with more sketch-based silliness. So forget about rising inflation, job security and the perilous state of the world – wrap yourself in our cosy duvet of comedy. And if you love it, share it! Don’t be shy, stand on a street corner and shout it out. Or if you don’t want to look totally doolally, you could always share it via Facebook or Twitter. Enjoy!
It’s our second show!
Yes, we said we’d be back this week, and here we are with more audio comedy to bring you a bit of warmth on a gloomy Monday in November - or any other day, for that matter.
As ever, if you like the show, don’t keep it to yourselves, share it. Tell the world - take out a full page ad in a national newspaper if you want. We really won’t mind.
And remember… we’ll be back! Next week, to be precise.
