Palestinians have developed a number of creative, non-violent ways to challenge the brutal Israeli military occupation of Palestine. Rallies all over the United States and around the world are taking place to object to the announcement by President Donald Trump that the US embassy in Israel would be moved to Jerusalem. The Palestinians and the international community have considered East Jerusalem to be the capital of Palestine. The move by Trump, should be of no surprise to any sincere observer because the United States has never been an honest peace broker to the Israel/Palestine conflict. Mohammad Abdul Qavi was an activist for peace and justice for Palestinians. We met Qavi at the El Beit Guest House in Beit Sahour, the city next to Bethlehem, Palestine, where a group of us on the month long, Iktashef experience, sponsored by the Holy Land Trust, were staying. Qavi, who was from London, had chosen the El Beit Guest House as his retirement home and had been living there for over 6 years. We were inspired by one of our listeners who wanted to attend a vigil at a Christians United For Israel event near his home. In this program we talk about what is needed to do a vigil at a Christian Zionist church. One of the main things to be done is to send a letter to the pastor of the church to let him know why we have chosen his church. WHTT joined Cindy Sheehan at her Tour de Peace stop in Phoenix to protest the use of drones by President Obama, that has resulted in the death of many innocent children in countries like Pakistan and Yemen. The death of Cindy’s son, Casey, in Iraq, emboldened her to become an anti-war activist.
