Hey, it’s Andrew and this song, “All This Time”, is from the album, “Dying to be Born”. I wrote it while Mary and I were dating and going through some challenging times. We teamed up, and I rhymed and my beautiful songbird sang the hook. I know I am lucky. My friend told me, “You hit a broken bat home run”. It is one of the funniest things I have ever heard. If you already get it, you are probably laughing. If not, think about a baseball player trying to hit a homerun. Miraculously, the bat breaks while hitting the ball, and the result is still a homerun. The analolgy, is that I am the broken one, who has somehow hit a homerun. I’m not going to argue. Thanks for your support!
Hey, it’s Andrew, and my wife agreed to share our story. Our journey was, and is embodied by yoga. I never thought she would agree to do this, but even though we are still newlyweds(it will be 2 years in April), our relationship has evolved a great deal. She is the Yang to my Yin, so basically I am the woman in the relationship. We also recorded a song together, which you will hear a clip of in the beginning. I will add the whole version following this episode. Thank you so much for listening, and you can follow Mary and I @mrandmrsyogi
We haven’t done anything with the page in a long time, and I think I lost the username and password. However, we do plan to get back into it and develop it along with our podcasts. Have a sweet and blessed day!

As this podcast grows, it is becoming an amalgamation of my own journey, which I am weaving into a tapestry of expression. While, the interviews on the podcast will always be focused on the guest, I find the organic birth of content from my own path coming to life. This is a song I recorded while I was in teacher training. All of the music, lyrics, and production are original.

¡Mira!is a new video series. Our first ¡Mira!is about choosing love, even in the midst of fear. This can be one of the hardest things to do, because fear can lead us to act on a lower frequency. Yoga, breathwork, and meditation are some of the best tools to raise your vibration. By pausing, and going inside, you can emerge in love.

I really enjoyed speaking with James Marsh aka @yogi_firefighteron Instagram. He is very down to earth, and a family man. James sent me over the following notes. I am not editing them, because they show the sentiment in which he brings. He has humiity and is someone living his yoga and making it work in all areas of his life. And, now…hereeeeeeeeee’s James!!!!
Hi, not sure what’s needed or relevant but here goes.
My name is James Marsh, I live in the North West of England in a town called Wigan, situated several miles between Liverpool & Manchester.
Carlos Sanchez a.k.a Carlos Tao, wastes no time. He has had a very diverse life which has taken him from childhood alterboy, to worldwide yogi. Carlos considers himself and empath, and is prone and cool with crying(I am too). He feels more than the average person, and that is something that some people misunderstand. He went through different ways to cope with it throughout his childhood, all the way up into his twenties. Finally, he has arrived in true love for himself and others. Carlos had a quick entry into yoga. He moved so fast, that his second yoga class ever was a teacher training! He started teaching pretty quickly but wasn’t sure what the heck he was doing. Carlos completed his teacher training with one of the nicest, mos [...]

It was about eight years ago that Mary was overhwlemed, in denial, and filled with fear. She was constantly in motion, partying too hard, and working even harder. Mary had no off switch, and was very depressed. She had hit rock bottom. Battling an alcohol addiction, and a dependency on anti-anxiety medication, she was engaging in all sorts of self-sabotaging behaviors. Mary had a horrible diet and no self-care. Instead of leading the fulfilling life she had always dreamed of, she was living day to day in unsatisfying jobs with no real sense of direction or purpose. Foggy and frazzled, she was stuck. Mary had no idea how to move forward, and what she truly wanted. She came across a quote that would change her life, “In the middle of the fear lies the existence of opportunity”. Mary checked into rehab and onto recovery. She feels it is be [...]
Meg Sangimino started her yoga journey in high school, but became more serious about her practice in college. She was a nationally ranked javelin thrower in college and yoga helped with her core strength and flexibility. Yoga soon became a big part of managing the stress in her life as she graduated college and moved to Washington DC to work as a civil engineer. She believes in the power of her breath, in and out of her p [...]
Since earning her RYT-200 certification, Lizzie has participated in several workshops-both as a teacher-and a student. Lizzie teaches a powerful Vinyasa flow with creative sequencing and focus on alignment. She pays special attention to the breath and how it is used in deep connection to the movements of the body. Because of her love and knowledge of Yin Yoga and deep stretch and its importance to a well-rounded yoga practice, she also incorporates a lot of long holds during the cool down to really open the joints and stretch the muscles and connective tissue. Lizzie discovered yoga at the age of 12 when she wandered into a yoga studio completely curious and open-minded. The studio owner asked her to get a permission slip signed and she came back the very next day ready to give it a try. The rest is history.

Peter Sizemore grew up in a small town in Gerogia. He knew he was special at an early age, when his momma told him so. During his youth, he played all sports, and was in his words, “#1″ at all of them. Peter connected with yoga after an overhwhelming amount of women asked him to teach. He listened to their call, and started to grow a following. You can find Peter teaching hot, sweaty classes with his shirt off. Peter is the owner of a hot yoga studio, which he claims is very hot, but not as hot as him. He teaches without a shirt, after surveys indicated his students demand it. Peter is an avid narcissist and has mirrors in his studio(primarily to stare at himself). We were honored to grab some of Peter’s time and find out more about his journey. There are no links to connect with Peter, but he explains how to find him in the podcast.

Nicole Duke has been practicing Yoga for over 20 years. As a professional long distance runner sponsored by Cliff Bar she traveled all over the United States to race. Looking for a competitive edge mentally and physically she was turned onto Bikram Yoga. From the very first class she intuitively knew that this practice was so much more than physical and that she must incorporate Yoga into her training program. With no Bikram studio in her hometown she was only able to practice when she traveled and immediately started dreaming of building her own studio someday. Nicole was one of the very first certified Pilates instructors in Santa Cruz County Trained by the PhysicalMind Institute in both Mat and apparatus. She taught both privately and in many local gyms before opening her studio Balanced Body. < [...]
Erin Ward strives to find out what it means to thrive and how to help others to do the same. Movement, breath, and meditation have evolved as her primary access points to freedom from suffering states of being.
Born and raised on the east coast, Erin defined herself early on as an athlete, spending most of her time on the basketball court, the lacrosse field, and the track. It was when she landed in NYC for college that her world turned upside down. Battling anxiety, Erin was baptized into the yoga practice and never looked back. She took solace in intentional movement and patient, meditative breathing. The yoga practice took her out of the mind chatter and into her body — physically, emotionally, and energetically. From a place of mental and emotional rock bottom, through the dedication of pr [...]

I’ve found my life’s passion through the daily practice of yoga, and I look forward to sharing this journey with you. Inspired by the Rocket and Ashtanga Vinyasa flow, all of my classes have an emphasis on connecting breath with movement.
Hey! It’s Andrew, and this time I play the guest on a podcast! My friend Tony and I discuss the different opportunities that may cross your path.

Andrew Gordon is back on the show! This time we talk goat yoga and the other interesting opportunities that yoga studio owners get, this episode we stay pretty focused on goats. Great episode if you want to get into goat, or any kind of animal yoga. Andrew started practicing yoga in 2002 and fell in love right away. After working 10 years as a radio host and getting his Masters in Education, he turned to yoga looking for an answer and a purpose. Yoga helped him lose 60lbs and lower his cholesterol/blood pressure from life-threatening numbers, to optimal health. As his practice grew, a friend encouraged him to do Yoga Teacher Training. The decision to do the training changed him forever. Listen in to what he has to share about goat [...]

I became interested in yoga as a way of balancing the physical routine of training for marathons and triathlons. I soon discovered the deeper, mindful benefits of a regular yoga practice. With a desire to help others experience both mental and physical wellness, I pursued yoga teacher training, graduating in 2014 as an RYT-200 from Evolution Yoga NC. I remain committed to continuing my education in various forms of yoga and holistic health.
In the journey of yoga and life, I am tremendously grateful to the teachers and mentors who opened my understanding and assisted my progress. I strive to pass on the support, compassion and generosity modeled by my husband and children to everyone I have the privilege of guiding in a yoga practice.
My classes weave breath and movement with tuning in to the body’s deep inner wisdom and se [...]
