Malachi delivers a strong word to Israel in a time of their dishonorable actions and attitudes towards God. They were taking God's mercy and grace for granted - and in turn - not honoring the one who gave it to them. Today, Churches are called to honor God through evangelism.
We must be prepared to harvest those who God sends in our direction. We must be on guard to always be able to share the gospel.

Amos was called to be faithful in the midst of Israel's unfaithfulness. They were worshipping idols and comparing their sins to their neighbors, in order to justify their sin. But what they should have been doing is witnessing to them through their own faithfulness.
The Holy Spirit is our stronghold, defense, tower, strength, confidence. There are no things that can come up against God. No fear may overcome. So then, we should live our lives without fear.
We must declare Christ through the work of the Spirit. We must allow Christ be proclaimed by our actions and reactions, by allowing the Spirit to guide us.
