She shares the secret ingredient to leadership which she learned from a young age living in the foothills of Appalachia in southern Ohio. As a military spouse, the daughter of a veteran, Cheryl drew upon her experiences when she became the first woman and military spouse Chairman of the VA Board of Veterans' Appeals. Her leadership style is not new but is something many leaders lose sight of as they struggle with the demands of leadership.
