Today's post was written on a night in January. I am convinced I am loved no matter what because of St. Paul's confidence. I believe it is similar to what Fr. Mike Schmitz has explained about our belief not being in isolation when we say the Apostle's Creed. We believe in and with a community of believers and are strengthened together in the midst of all believers. My translation of what he'd said anyway. Funny enough, I wrote this post prior to listening to Fr. Mike Schmitz.
My Testimony of God's goodness to me and a prayer of blessing gifted to all of God's children from God:
"The Lord bless you and keep you:
The Lord make His face to shine upon you, and be gracious to you:
The Lord lift up His countenance upon you, and give you peace."
Numbers 6:24-26 (The Bible)
This is the last post of 2022. I look back on the year I have had, feeling thankful to God!
I have had this post in drafts since March 13 2022. I read it recently and I absolutely loved it. I hope you do too.
I had the idea to put together mini thoughts I’ve had for a post. I found two in my notes which I have included here. I also included an extra at the end which I wrote later on in April.
This is what I consider for myself to be the distinction between having a crush, liking someone or loving someone.
A Sweet Poem For Your Sweet Hearts.
May You Stay Soft. May You Stay Kind. Long, May You Prosper.
This is me speaking as a voice to women out there who have experienced pain during cervical screening. Just one more voice out there to speak on how real the pain is for some women even if it is minimised or dismissed by others.
A short conversation with friends which skims over the want to know what love is and the choice to be happy.
Enjoy!
“What is your style of writing poems?”
"I guess I have a good imagination and I have always felt even when I would over think everything. One’s singular emotion can always be written in such a way that it appears to be a love story, but I feel it doesn’t matter either way how different anyone’s interpretation is from what the poem is. The poem has served them and they have connected to it in some way. They have not felt alone and to me, that is enough."
There's no honest medicine like a hug.
If you love hugs and you love potent poetry, listen to this!
I dreamt of my late father and when I was awake, he felt so solid to me that I just knew I could not accept a lesser love. Have a listen! I hope you enjoy this!
Happy New Year Everyone! Listen to my Haiku to kick off the New Year with me on my podcast!
Enjoy!
I decided to write a love letter to myself. Perhaps, you will be able to listen to my love letter, tell yourself you are beautiful and truly believe it. Thank you in advance for listening to this podcast episode. Thank you for sticking with me throughout the year, when I was consistent and not so much that. Thank you for the compliments. I am thankful that my voice has brought peace to you. Thank you to all who promoted my podcast. It means a lot to this girl who wants to reach as many hearts as possible but still stay hidden. And as always, I hope you enjoy this!
PS: Bible verse quoted is Romans 5:3-8
I stumbled across an IG post from a journaling page “@joclub_”which said, “Write about a good hug on Day 631”. I thought it was an interesting topic and I felt I could work on something but when I thought hard about it, I realised that I could not think of a hug that has left me with a lasting impression. Perhaps, I have forgotten. So, instead, I decided to take inspiration from that post and write about a hug that would have been a good hug.
This podcast episode is a telling of that haunting encounter.
To Err is Human, To Forgive is Divine but I do not claim to be perfect as God is, only trying everyday to do what is right and also reminding myself to humanize people.
This episodes centers around the telling of stories by people based off of their perception, which might not necessary be the blueprint to follow or necessarily be Truth.
It has been a while since I have written with the intention to post, or should I say, anything that I categorise as worthwhile to post or something that doesn’t give people ammo to try to manipulate me.
It is inevitable to share a ton when I bare my soul to the e-notepad. However, in the past I mostly wrote in such a way as not to be understood per say, and yet, giving the reader free rein to feel and come to their own interpretation. I definitely found it interesting and lovely to find people engaging with my words.
I wrote something this night. It is so short that I wonder if it can be categorised as poetry. However, Here it is. Enjoy!
I wrote this beautiful poem recently. I feel you all on here appreciate my poetry so I made a conscious note to write something. Work tends to rob me of my creative energy but I was happy to create this. It speaks of yearning and of love; A love that reassures. I feel we all need that.
I hope you enjoy this!
Hey everyone!
I dug deep into my poetry collection for this one. Sometimes, I am thankful for inspiration despite the pain. You see, my focus is always on the art that flows out from me, what I produce, not necessarily the hurt or the pain. Other times, I think the inspiration has served its purpose, to heal me, and there is no need to keep the art anymore, no matter how great it is, since it is a past that I don’t even want to remember anymore. An unnecessary memory, you could say, which I know will be wiped away in time, because my brain will deem it redundant. Right now is not one of those moments. I am wistful and reflective as I read this again. I guess I am learning from my past self in this moment.
I hope my poem evokes "something wistful, something beautiful" within you.
Hello everyone! Here's a poem I wrote about my hair. I had just cut off my chemically straightened hair, fall of 2017, and was just discovering the nature and texture of my coily hair for the first time. My hair had been chemically straightened, prior to this, when I was too young to remember what it was originally. So, this was all a very new journey for me, with a lot of mixed emotions.
Poetry was in everything for me, it flowed so easily to me back then. I'd venture to say it kept me company. I hope you enjoy this original. It was fun and playful writing this.
Today's episode is a poetry reading of a poem titled, "If There's A Word More Powerful Than Love". It is gotten from the K-drama titled, "The Bride Of Habaek".
The first time I heard this poem, I was so moved by it that I knew I had to share it with people who might fall in love with it as well.
There is a fear associated with calling out the actions of a preacher. A fear that God will punish the person or the person will bear great judgement from God. I, however, have come to realise that fear is not of God. I have also come to realise that Jesus believed that just as there are people who are for the kingdom of God and would not speak against God, equally, there are bad preachers and he called them out, not in an attempt to scorn, but for a change to occur and to prevent the further misleading of God's people.
This episode hopes to engage the listener, such that the listener may come to understand these very things.
This episode is a Poetry reading on Inner Peace, which I wrote close to a year ago.
I hope you find it as heated and playful as I felt, the day I wrote it.
It all started with me trying to understand who Jesus is to me. I believe in God undisputedly. I was raised Christian. Although, I questioned the bible, I still loved Jesus because he loved me first; I remember it was a great feeling, that first day I finally knew this. I want to have at my fingertips all I know that I believe without doubt, without question.
What do I believe? Opening up my mind, I decided to complete the book of Mark to see if I can find answers. Walk with me as I make what has felt like my first discovery of the Book of Mark.
I have had strange dreams all of my life. I was bothered by them when I was little because they scared me too much to go back to sleep. Right now, I am used to dreaming weird. This dream in particular is not the wildest. It is mild yet strange. I decided to write it down soon after I dreamt, so as not to forget.
This podcast episode explores my fascinating take on the point of life. I have to say I feel great joy to finally be able to answer a question that has plagued me for a while now.
In the past, even without realising it, my subconscious had an already established priority. 6 months ago, I was forced into deep introspection of my priorities and I reached a point where I settled on two which have been good for my survival. I explore both priorities in this podcast.
