A time of encouragement and hope restored as I showcase that there is always hope to be found for the right here and right now in the Lord.

I showcase a book from my library, co-written by Bob Briner and Ray Pritchard. The book is called The Leadership Lessons of Jesus: A Timeless Model for Today's Leaders. I review a portion of scripture found in the book of Joshua, chapter 5, verses 13 and 14. It shows what happens when an encounter with Jesus changes your entire perspective.

I had the chance to sit down with a good friend of mine, and out of our time together, this interview was able to be created. I read a newsletter written by Cliff Graham that is about him explaining why he wrote the Lion of War series. It gives the background on how he came up with the idea and shares a bit of the in-depth training to better understand the process of a warrior back in the days of King David. I have linked the newsletter below as well as the interview that I had with the author.

I look at a verse with the same numbers as the famous John 3:16. It is a scripture of hope and instruction for us during the right here and now of life. It is the scripture verse, Deuteronomy 31:6! Be Strong and Good Courage!
I look at a section of scripture in the Book of Numbers, chapter 14, verses two through four. It is easy to want to go back to what you know instead of going into what you don't fully understand. However, remember this: Put your hope in the Lord and lean not on your understanding.

I came across a scripture that is full of hope. It states that the Lord will walk among us, He will be our God, and we are to be His people. It is found in Leviticus 26:12. I also share an article I found that does a deeper dive into this very verse.
The article can be found at the following link: https://scripturesavvy.com/leviticus-26-12/
The Bible is about Jesus. He is pictured or prophesied about in the 66 Bible books, from Genesis to Revelation.
He is also seen through types in the lives of different characters in the Bible. Below is a breakdown of how He is shown through types, prophecies, titles, and names in all the books of the Bible, from Genesis to Revelation.
The article that I found the chart I refer to in the episode can be found here: https://jesusplusnothing.com/jesus-books-bible
What an amazing promise The Lord gives His people: He will fight for you. I look at a section of scripture that showcases this very thought. It is found in Exodus 14:13 - 15.

I took part in a revival in Oklahoma. The name of the meeting was called 'Meet me in the water'. It is put on by Kayla Gabbard Ministries. I look at the very first verse of the Word of God, and right away, an amazing truth is unpacked—He created it all, from the majestic to the Mundane. Look at Genesis 1:1 and see it again for the first time.

I read an article I found that showcases lives that were transformed through hope. It highlights 13 characters found in both the Old and New Testament of the Bible. The article is called '13 Stories of Transformation in the Bible that give hope to anyone'. It is written by Jannah Esplanada.
The article can be found at the following link: https://hopenomatterwhat.com/stories-of-transformation-in-the-bible-that-give-hope-to-anyone/
I read a section from a book in my library. It is called 'Hidden Heroes: Evidence that God is at work'. Don Moore and Lorna Dueck wrote it. It has a foreword written by Billy Graham. I would suggest adding this to your library if you get the opportunity.

I am sharing a newsletter I received recently. It is dealing with helping with the bereavement process of a loved one. My wife of 20 years passed away in 2024. The newsletter came from the following site and also has good material available to help with you or a loved one that is on a similar path of dealing with loss: https://www.hopethroughhealing.com/
I received a letter from a listener and read it to you. I got the permission of the email writer to share it. It looks at the topic of 'hope' through the lens of an atheist. Thanks for listening and thanks for the emails, keep them coming. I will always check with you before I read it on the podcast so that you know.
HAPPY NEW YEAR! (This recording was made at the start of the new year.)

I go back through the last year and read the comments left by listeners of the podcast. These are comments left via the Spotify platform. Born into the family of an alcoholic father, Barbara endured much abuse in her childhood, which would set her life on a path of alcoholism, drug addiction, promiscuity, and divorce. This caused her to deal with severe depression, suicide attempts, fear, and extreme anger most of her life.Though Satan meant this for her destruction, God now uses Pastor Barbara to minister inner healing and deliverance to those who are in bondage everywhere she goes.Apostle Barbara Jenkins is the Pastor of Christ the King Church.
