The Greatest Story ever told reaches its zenith with the resurrection of Jesus Christ! Our faith is not a blind leap in the dark. It is a reasonable faith built upon a historical reality; the reality that, “He is Risen”!
As Jesus made His Triumphal Entry into Jerusalem, declaring He was the Messiah, people waved Palm Branches and shouted, "Blessed is the King"! See how this ties into one of the most stunning prophecies in all Scripture.
The overarching story of scripture is “God among his people”. From Genesis to Revelation, God desires to dwell with us. But how can a holy God live with sinful people? How are Christians to live in light of this reality?
In our text today, we’ll see a stark contrast between 2 groups of people. This contrast will show the difference between religion and relationship (or said another way), between legalism and love.
After Martha’s brother Lazarus died, Jesus comforted her with these words: “I am the resurrection and the life. Whoever believes in me, though he die, yet shall he live, and everyone who lives and believes in me shall never die.” Join us for part two of our series, “Lessons from Lazarus”, and receive the comfort that you need from the Lord as you worship Him with His people.
Before Christ was slain for our sins at Passover, He needed to perform yet another miracle. This one was perhaps the most astounding of all! Join us for part one of this two-part series, as we learn lessons from the story of Lazarus.
If you belong to the Good Shepherd, you know He found you and He saved you! You are forever secure in His powerful and loving arms! There is no one like Jesus!
If Jesus is your Good Shepherd, you know He found you, feeds you, strengthens you, and has saved you forever. Not only that, He also gives you His peace, provision, and protection. There is no one like Jesus!
In John 9, Jesus performed a miracle that stands alone in recorded history; He gave sight to a man who was born blind! Not only did the Lord give the gift of physical sight, He also gave the gift of spiritual sight! Have you received this gift?
In a striking debate between Jesus and the religious leaders, the Lord continued to flash great truths like lightning bolts across the sky. The brightest bolt had to do with His identity… He is the Great I Am!
CalvaryPSL exists to help people of all ages become lifelong followers of Christ. Join us for a special message about our mission as a church.
Does your world become dark at times? Jesus Christ is the light of the world! Whoever follows Him will not walk in darkness, but will have the light of life!
When a woman was caught in the act of adultery, the religious leaders wanted to publicly shame and condemn her. But Jesus’ response was different. He didn’t come into the world to condemn it, but to save it!
Join us for our Apologetics Conference on Sunday, July 24th from 2:30-4:30 pm on the topic of "If God, Why Evil" with Dr. Frank Turek. Dr. Turek is a dynamic speaker and award-winning author/co-author of four books. At the end of the Feast of Booths, Jesus stood up and shouted out a powerful truth to the gathered crowd. This truth had to do with the Holy Spirit and His desired role in our lives. Do you have “rivers of living water” flowing through you?
During the Feast of Booths, thousands of Jews gathered in and around Jerusalem to celebrate God’s provision and protection of their ancestors after the Exodus. But there was Someone very important in Jerusalem at that time, whom they should have celebrated even more than the festival. If only they would accept what He taught as true and put their trust in Him!
There are plenty of people and problems that would threaten our security as believers, but we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us.
We have been set free, so let's live like it! We live out this freedom through serving others, producing fruit, and being led by the Spirit.
Just as eating bread is necessary for temporal life, so, trusting in the Bread of Life, Jesus Christ, is necessary for eternal life. Once the Lord gives us the gift of eternal life, we should continue to depend on Him in order to enjoy the benefits of our spiritual life. Join us this weekend for part 2 of this series!

Life is filled with storms! Just as we prepare for actual storms before they threaten us, we should prepare for metaphorical “storms” as well. Trials & troubles are coming! How can we prepare for them and get through them? Discover more this weekend in our continuing study in John. - Ministry Team come forward. If you need prayer for any reason, please come forward.
After Jesus miraculously fed over 10,000 people, many wanted to take Him by force and make them their king. Their idea of the kingdom at that time was totally off base. What is the kingdom all about? Which kingdom will you choose?
Jesus came to seek and save the lost. This mission is seen by Jesus’ compassionate pursuit of sinners, his invitation to repentance, and his affirming of a new identity! Unfortunately, the crowd often gets in the way. How can we be a church that creates room for the outcast, and be honest about our own brokenness to experience the grace of Jesus?
Some people live their lives by what feels right. Others live by the rule of logic. Followers of Jesus are called to live with purpose. What does the Bible say about purpose? Is purpose something we discover? This weekend we will learn that God has a purpose for our lives, and that purpose is best served through understanding why and how God made you.
While in a remote area, a massive crowd of over 10,000 people came to see Jesus. In all the excitement, He did something for them they would never forget and He taught His disciples some valuable lessons at the same time.
The Lord Jesus made some amazing claims about Himself that were substantiated by five witnesses. Who and what were these five, “Testimonies of Truth”? Discover more in this message!
Because of who the Lord Jesus is, what He does in the present, and what He will do in the future, we should “Honor the Son”!
The Day is coming when all who have died will hear the voice of the Risen Christ and come out of their graves. Some will rise to eternal judgment and some will rise to eternal life. Will you be among the former or the latter?
Jesus Christ performed many miracles to confirm His identity and authenticate His message. Anyone who could heal a young man from miles away and cause a person who had been crippled for 38 years to stand up and walk deserves our trust and adoration!
Jesus came to seek and to save the lost. This includes influential and well-respected people like Nicodemus as well as those who are ignored and considered social outcasts like the Samaritan Woman. We all need the Lord!

We are hardwired to dwell with the God of the universe! When we do this, we enjoy relationship with Him, we have courage to face life, and we experience His protection.
John 3:16 is clear, concise, and packed with meaning. It shows God’s heart of love toward the world and His offer of salvation for all mankind!
A respected religious leader came to Jesus at night, seeking real answers for his many questions. What he heard from the Lord rocked his world and changed his views forever! Discover more this weekend and invite a friend!
Christ knows all and sees all! Since He is omniscient, He knows exactly what is going on in our hearts. This divine attribute should draw us to the Lord in repentance, where we will find Him waiting with open arms.
Jesus and His disciples were invited to a wedding, where He celebrated the union of the groom and bride. As a token of His love and as a manifestation of His true identity, while there He performed His first miraculous sign, which astonished His followers!
Our God is a God of covenant. Throughout history, He established covenant relationships with people like Abraham, Moses, and David... and we even sometimes identify Him as the "God of Abraham", or "God of Moses". But who else is He the God of? Who else has God offered a covenant relationship to? Spoiler alert: Your name goes in the blank.
At the beginning of His ministry, Jesus began to call others to join Him in His mission. His simple call was, “Follow Me.” What does it mean to follow the Lord? Are you a lifelong follower of Christ?
Two millennia ago, a voice could be heard in the wilderness, heralding the coming of the Lamb of God. Not everyone would heed the voice, but those who did were pointed to One who could change their lives forever.
Two thousand years ago, God became a Man and lived in our fallen world. His life brought spiritual light to us, which the darkness could not overcome.
John has given the world a treasure by sharing with us the life changing words and works of the great “I Am”.
After getting right with the Lord, Jonah still had a lot of growing to do. He needed a heart of compassion! Since God is patient, He taught His servant a lesson in love that we can all learn from.
What happens after we accept Christ? How do we live out the newness of life? What keeps us going? It is the Scriptures that provides the fuel needed to walk out a life lived in faithfulness.
The Gospel has given us a brand new identity in Christ! So, now that we have it, how do we live out this new identity?
Within the pages of the Scriptures there are hundreds of promises that we can put our hope in for the future. One of the greatest promises ever given, was a promise that God made to His servant David. This divine promise was so great, it would impact the future of the world and its fulfillment is what Christmas is all about!

After being swallowed by a great fish, Jonah finally recommitted himself to the Lord. The prophet made the most of his second chance and his ministry was abundantly blessed. What followed is one of the greatest spiritual awakenings in all of history.
Just as Christ lived His life on mission, so should we! Jesus met people where they were, and modeled how we should live on mission. Once we encounter Christ, our lives change forever.
How did Jonah, even in the belly of the great fish, still find encouragement in the words of Scripture? His mind was already saturated with the Word of God before he got into dark times. We need to fill ourselves up with Scripture before difficulty comes - so that when it does, we will be able to endure.
Join us in a continuation of the narrative of Jonah, as a storm sent by God forces Jonah to confront his own need for repentance.
When the Lord called Jonah to go to Nineveh, he became a prodigal and ran from the divine call. God said, “Go!” but Jonah said, “No!” and fled to Tarshish. Why did Jonah run? What lessons can we learn from his example today?
The story of Jonah is a fascinating account of God’s love for the whole world. Since the Scriptures are timeless, this little book is filled with powerful principles that we can apply to our lives today. Join us as we discuss an unwilling prophet, a massive fish, a repentant people, and a caring, compassionate God.
American culture is moving further and further away from God. Many Christians are responding with anger, hatred and contempt. Yet, God calls Christians to emulate His love and grace to the lost world around them. How do Christians live godly lives in the tension of a godless culture? Paul makes it crystal clear in his letter to Titus.
Why does sharing our faith sometimes feel so hard? ...Maybe we've got our order of operations wrong! Being with Jesus makes us like Jesus. When we spend significant time in fellowship with God, we experience relationships in a whole new light, and we just can't help but talk about our life changing relationship with Christ.
When we honor God through Spirit led generosity, He provides, not for our greeds, but for our needs.
What is the key to contentment? How can we experience it in our lives? Discover more in this message.
Philippians 4:9 says "As for the things you have learned and received and heard and seen in me, practice these things, and the God of peace will be with you." When we put the Bible's teaching into practice, the natural outcome is peace!
We need to be careful about what kinds of thoughts we allow to enter our minds. Philippians 4:8 tells us, "Finally, brothers, whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is just, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is commendable, if there is any excellence, if there is anything worthy of praise, think about these things." If a thought doesn't match that description, it's our responsibility to turn that thought away! Don't allow false, shameful, unjust, impure, ugly, slanderous, flawed, or dishonorable thoughts to steal your peace.
Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. Philippians 4:6. Want to find a permanent solution to anxiety? Join us for Part 1 of "Don't Worry, Be Happy" to find out what the book of Philippians has to say on the subject.
It's easy to fall into the belief that we need to "earn" our way to Heaven. But the problem is... it just isn't true! No matter how hard we try, we will never earn our way into fellowship with God. The only way to Heaven is through faith in Jesus. The gospel message is the only source of power that will bring us into right standing with God. It's something we can't do on our own.
