Peter is writing to encourage new believers who are experiencing challenges to embrace their new family identity. Ultimately this identity comes with the promise that God will make us Holy and we can take joy in that truth!

I think most of us know we SHOULD be joyful to the Lord, but how can we have this kind of joy that is effusive like a toy volcano? In this message, we'll look at three clues from the passage that can direct our own lives in a way that cultivates joy.
Reading Luke 17 is a bit like taking a cold shower. After the fact, you'll end up more energized and better prepared for the day, but it's not that fun in the moment.
In this message, Jesse walks through the chapter and points out the ways that Jesus leads us into lives of freedom and service -- two seeming opposed ideas. In the end, our response can be like the leper, who realizing how much Jesus did for Him was eager to throw Himself into service for Jesus.
This week Steven shared form Luke 15 concentrating on the first two sentences that explained the role of tax collectors and sinners, the Pharisees and scribes, and the importance of drawing near. Emphasis placed on the church body drawing near during the Lord's supper, our after service meals and our gathering in Priories. He also described reading Bible Stories keeping your character in the story clear. He concludes with how deeply loved we are that God would send his only Son to seek and save us!
For our special quarterly prayer service today we took a look at Psalm 42.
As with many of the psalms, 42 helps us to enter into the tensions and challenges of life, and yet retain hope and faith in God.
Jeremiah 32 demonstrates God's enduring love, which He gives us with all His heart.
Steven shares with us on this final sermon in the Jeremiah series about the promises of God to always love us, and how it is actually Him that keeps us faithful. Since His love depends on Him and us, we can be sure that He is always with us!

In this message we'll walk through some of the draws of idols that make it so hard to turn away from them.
These are some of the same draws that grip our own hearts when it comes keeping us from giving our lives over to God completely.
God's generous invitation to His people, which is ours through Jesus Christ is to be in covenant relationship. A covenant relationship is the deepest, most enduring, most elastic kind of relationship. It is not just based on simple provisions, but expands and moves with challenges and changes. It's really amazing that God would covenant with us. As His church, we walk in this covenant relationship together with Him and with each other.
As we continue to walk as a people in exile, perhaps more and more estranged from the surrounding culture, God calls us to trust in Him and be faithful. The advice Jeremiah gives to exiles in this passage may not seem "revolutionary" or sound like great rally points, but God most often works through faithful dependence on Him. Building houses, planting gardens, giving in marriage, living to bless the city.
Jeremiah, in many ways, is a book filled with uncomfortable truths. In this message we'll look at one of those uncomfortable truths and explore how God made Jesus the fulfillment of real and ultimate truth.
Our hope is to be able to cling to Jesus as our ultimate truth and embrace any discomfort that comes because we know God's purposes ultimately lead towards our good and God's glory!
Join us as we continue to walk through the book of Jeremiah at Christ the King Anglican Church in Denver. In this message we'll sit with the image of the Potter and The Clay. God, like a skilled artisan, is making His people in a way that reflects His glory - living with purpose, displaying them marks of the creator, showing His beauty to the world. The potter also points us to the sovereignty of God. As opposed to our natural inclinations and the movement of the world to add on "God" or some transcendent element as an aside or a therapeutic aid, this passage points us to the truth that this is God's word and we are living in it! The grace of God, though, is that God applies His sovereignty in making, forming, saving, forgiving, and renewing His people.
