Every piece is crafted with family, storytelling, memories, and the feeling of home in mind.

There’s a powerful connection that most struggling small business owners don’t realize… which is the connection between your self-worth and the business success that you see.

When you value yourself, honor who you are, respect yourself, LOVE yourself… it creates an energetic, unseeable, ripple effect that amplifies your income, the opportunities that come your way, the level of ease you have in business, and the impact that you make.

This is fact simply because everything in life is a mirror… so the more you value yourself, the more the universe mirrors that value right back to you.

During this episode you’ll discover why everything in life is a mirror, how your inner beliefs shape your external reality, and the key mindset shifts required to become someone who treats themselves as high-value that leads to a high-value business.

By the end of this episode, you’ll learn:

  • Why self-worth is the foundation of a thriving business
  • How to raise your energetic vibration to attract more money and opportunities
  • How your beliefs about yourself are constantly being mirrored back to you
  • A powerful (and simple) self-awareness exercise: "Ways I honor vs. do not honor myself"
  • What it truly means to be a high-value woman—without ego or manipulation
  • Why self-love is a daily choice, not something that we suddenly receive from reaching a certain level of external validation
  • The secret behind successful entrepreneur habits and how they honor themselves first
  • How business growth reflects your internal emotional, mental, and spiritual alignment

And you’ll hear examples of how to bring in more feminine energy into your life so that you become an energetic match for miracles, luck, success, and more ease.

During this 3-part mini-series of the podcast, we are unveiling the hidden secrets to success that most people never discuss— the exact reasons that keep them stuck.

In the first episode of this series, I reveal a game-changing mindset shift that successful small business owners understand: the crucial difference between what you can control vs. what you can’t in your business. Learn why focusing on the internal, rather than the external, leads to real results.

Here’s what you’ll discover:

  • The key distinction between what you CAN and CANNOT control in business – and why it’s essential to understand this distinction so that you don’t end up focusing on the wrong aspects of your business, which only lead to feeling demotivated, discouraged, and ready to give up.
  • How to release what you cannot control and let go of force… and what to focus on when you show up each day instead.
  • Understanding the societal conditioning that keeps us stuck due to programming around how money, sales, and results are what leads to worthiness, success, accomplishment, and love… which is the furthest thing from the truth… and discovering where worthiness, success, accomplishment, and love truly originate.
  • Transforming your measure of success and the one question you can ask yourself daily that will positively impact how you show up, who you impact, and ultimately your results.

This episode is inspired by a recent PBA Mastermind group coaching call, where we dove deep into understanding what it really means to achieve success, sales, and self-worth. If you’ve ever felt frustrated by slow growth or inconsistent results, this episode is exactly for you!

Self-confidence is often looked at as a trait that some people are simply born with…. But today’s podcast interview with Whitney from Cleansed reveals how much confidence anyone can build in just one year and the incredible business results that come from it.

Whitney’s journey started with trying to find a solution for skincare products that wouldn’t irritate her daughter’s extremely sensitive skin. She began creating her own skincare line that actually worked for her daughter and, before she knew it, was sharing her handcrafted soaps with friends and family, too. When her husband encouraged her to turn this hobby into a business, Whitney took the leap - she began selling at local markets and received so much support from the local community... but she hit a roadblock when it came to scaling her business. Many small business owners find themselves in a similar situation, don’t they?

This episode will inspire you to see how confidence – both business confidence and personal confidence – is what finally grew Whitney’s sales and business.

Whitney’s story will inspire you to see how someone can go from not having any personal social media profiles at all…. To having a business social media with JUST photos of her products…. To showing her face… to now, talking on her stories, hosting IG lives, and posting reels showing the person behind the business and actually connecting with her growing follower base. Can you imagine how transformative this journey must have been?

This confidence came from confidence in her business and the confidence in the solution that her products provide, all of which led to confidence in herself…. To the point that when she meets people in person, she no longer says she’s a stay at home mom of 2 girls and hides the fact that she has a business… but instead, she speaks from her heart, tells people about her business, and is proud to be the owner of a successful skincare business.

What you’ll learn in this episode:

  • The inspiring story behind Cleansed and how it grew from a personal need into a successful small business
  • The personal mindset shift that helped Whitney go from fear of social media to confidently selling online
  • The business confidence that came from professional branding, updated labels, and professional photography
  • How investing in PBA provided Whitney the roadmap & support she needed for business growth
  • How Whitney’s confidence shift positively impacted both her business and personal life

So, are you ready to embark on your journey to bigger, bolder confidence and success in your business?

About Whitney: Whitney McClure is the founder of Cleansed, a skincare brand that started as a personal solution for her daughters’ severe skin sensitivities and evolved into a skincare business for those with sensitive skin. Whitney was awarded the 2024 Breakthrough of the Year Award in Product Biz Academy—and today, she shares her incredible journey of overcoming self-doubt, rebranding her business, and achieving major growth in just one year.

Most people (especially coaches in today’s world) will tell you that THIS strategy is what you “NEED” in order to be successful or THAT strategy is what will “FINALLY” change the success of your business.

And I’m here to tell you that most of what those people say… is a bunch of BS.

The reality is, there are 5 popular, shiny-object, ever-so-exciting-and-oh-so-promising strategies that, contrary to popular belief, WON’T save your business in 2025 and instead will keep you overwhelmed, overworked, wondering why NONE of them work for you… when the truth is that without the right foundation, they won’t work for ANY small business.

In today’s episode, you’re going to learn:

Why just collecting emails and sending random email campaigns WON’T magically boost sales no matter what people tell you… and what you need to master FIRST so that email marketing ACTUALLY works for you.

How affiliates and brand ambassadors may expose new customers to you and do 50% of the work… but specific parts of your business need to do the remaining 50% of the work so these new customers ACTUALLY get to the finish line and buy.

Why SEO won’t save a website with a subpar marketing experience no matter how much money or keywords you throw at it – and the 3 pieces your website NEEDS to have to turn shoppers into buyers before you even consider SEO a worthwhile project.

How Facebook Ads CAN be used to expand your business… but how they WON’T fix a broken marketing strategy and can instead turn into an expensive bill with no results… and what to focus on instead.

These strategies will only amplify your EXISTING results… so the goal is to increase your EXISTING results before we add fuel to the fire so that you can see ANY sort of impact.

And that’s exactly what we’ll be diving into today.

In today’s episode, we dive deep into the world of trademarks, an essential - but often misunderstood - part of protecting your brand and your business so that you never get into legal trouble. Because I bet you AREN'T someone who wants to get a little 'ol "cease and desist" letter in the mail, like... ever. Special guest and trademark lawyer Joey Vitale shares common misconceptions about trademarks vs LLCs vs domain names, why you need to protect your brand EARLY and the risks of waiting, how to work through the trademark application process that is notorious for being a little challenging, why so many applications get rejected and how to prevent that from happening to you, how to protect your logo and business name and slogan from copycats, and more.

Joey Vitale is a trademark attorney (also known as a "brand legitimizer") for online entrepreneurs, course creators, and product based businesses. With his law firm and his courses, Joey helps online business owners call legal dibs on their brand name and signature methods so they never have to worry about losing their brand overnight. Joey has helped thousands of entrepreneurs and has spoken all over the country to help business owners stay safe and thriving.

If your focus leading up to Black Friday is “save the date” posts and “don’t forget that our biggest sale of the year is coming up!” announcements, you are making the BIGGEST mistake possible and preventing hundreds, if not thousands, of dollars of sales during the most impactful holiday shopping period of the entire year.

During these next two weeks, your main purpose should not be to PROMOTE your PROMOTION.

Think about it this way: if someone isn’t interested in your product at full price, they won’t care about it even if it’s 80% off during Black Friday no matter HOW many times you tell them that it’s going to be 80% off.

Instead, during these next two weeks, your main purpose is to create a strong sales runway that increases demand and desire of your products NOW so that WHEN you drop the promotion, it is a no brainer for anyone who hasn’t purchased from you YET.

And even better? When you create a strong sales runway now, you’ll get sales NOW and at full price, and ALSO hype up your products for your best Black Friday weekend ever for those who are waiting for the cherry on top.

Tune in to this week’s episode to learn how to prevent this mistake and how to create demand and desirability content for your products so you have your BEST holiday season yet.

In today’s episode, we’re diving into the three pillars required for a successful holiday campaign so that you can make the MOST of the Black Friday, Small Business Saturday, and Cyber Monday hype AND before AND after… through 3 pillars that are required for success: Promotion, People, and Performance.

Most business owners only focus on promotions during the holiday season, without realizing that increasing people and increasing performance is what leads QUANTUM LEAPS! Which is why we'll be diving into strategy for all 3 components so that you see the sales you want.
During this episode, you’ll learn:
- How to choose your Black Friday promotion so that it stands out AND is easy for customers to understand so that they actually buy… and the top mistakes to AVOID that would otherwise cause your promotion to be watered down, confusing, or lost in a sea of others (which DOESN’T lead to sales).
- How to run a marketing campaign leading up to Black Friday that DOESN’T include a massive discount but still is relevant to the season so that you keep your profits AND make more sales.
- The importance of increasing PEOPLE (aka the size of your audience) for the success of your promotion… and a few quick tips on how to get more eyeballs to your business now. The goal is simple: more eyes on your brand = more sales when your promotion goes live.
- The importance of increasing PERFORMANCE above all else and how to improve your email marketing metrics, social media engagement, and website conversion. Performance is key to maximizing impact and even small improvements in email open rates, click-through rates, and engagement can lead to massive, massive growth.
- The performance metrics that matter, how influencing these metrics can make a massive impact, and how to keep assessing what’s working (and what’s not) to keep increasing YOUR performance.

By now, you probably already know the importance of marketing.

Because marketing is what gets you in front of more people.

If you aren't getting in front of people, you won't have any customers.

If you don't have any customers, you aren't making any money!

Most small business avoid marketing because it just doesn't come naturally… but here’s the thing, no one and I mean no one was born a natural marketer or a natural promoter or a natural salesperson. It’s a skill, a REQUIRED skill, that you can learn. The people who are good at it just have been around it and have learned it and embodied it, that’s it. And if learning this new skill is uncomfortable at first, then that just means you are learning something new and growing – isn't that a GOOD thing?

During this episode of the Product Biz Podcast, we talk about defining your one marketing project that will allow you to learn and grow both as a business owner AND as a business.

You'll learn why discernment is a critical skill that every single small business owner needs... and how to determine if the shiny object or new idea actually will impact your goals and get you closer to where you want to be, or if it’s simply a distraction.

You'll learn how to make your progress faster and specific questions to ask yourself when new items on your to-do list come up to make the SMART decision.

And we'll talk about the power of discipline to help you reach your goals.

These concepts are the 80% of the work when it leads to business growth… and the rest, only 20%, is the mechanics. The sooner you understand what it takes to see result, the sooner you become the person able to GET results.

These are the projects, tasks, skills, that actually move the needle in your business.

And another big part of productivity is making sure the RIGHT things aren’t getting the bare bones, the crumbs, the leftover, the barely-there energy because all of your main energy has been spent on OTHER areas of your business that AREN’T necessarily the “right” things to be focusing on.

The million dollar question:

“I have SO much to do in my business AND I have so many responsibilities in life, how can I get MORE done with the amount of time that I do have?”

“How can I get MORE done so I can see results SOONER?”

We’re diving deep into these questions during today’s episode of The Product Biz Podcast… and the answers are going to completely shift how you look at your business and how you run your business.

Because at the end of the day, SO much of society’s conditioning is actually making us the OPPOSITE of productive. It’s making us unable to focus. It’s making us crave change and more change and more change. Which leads to context switching, burnout, chasing after dopamine via doomscrolling, and LESS productivity no matter how many tabs you have open or how many things you TRY to do at once.

So WHAT is the answer on how to get more done if doing everything at once is NOT working?

In this episode, you'll learn practical strategies to rewire your brain in a way that will allow you to ACTUALLY get shit done in both business and personal life… without the burnout.

There are two COMMON challenges most small business owners face which costs them THOUSANDS:

The first challenge is not knowing what problem their product solves.

The second challenge is DOUBTING the significance of that problem.

Knowing the specific problem your product solves is the backbone of your branding, your marketing, your overall business strategy. Knowing this can create GREAT pieces of content for social media vs. generic, vanilla, boring pieces of content on social media that leads to low engagement and nonexistent sales. Knowing this can create GREAT content for email marketing vs. general, vanilla, boring pieces of content for email marketing that leads to barely any opens or clicks to your website. Knowing this can allow you to CONNECT with your followers, your email subscribers, your target audience and allows your customers to KNOW what you stand for.

EVERY product solves a problem, from ceramics to jewelry to skincare to women's fashion and more. If you aren't sure what problem your product solves, this episode will help you get clarity on this fundamental part of your brand.

And then, there’s the other challenge. Which is the myth of "Big" vs. "Small" problems.

If you think that your products don't solve a “big” enough problem, you'll walk away from this episode understanding the importance of owning the value your product brings to customers. And how thinking that your products don't solve a “big” enough problem is actually rooted in fear...

During this episode, you’ll understand how to challenge your beliefs about the value of your products and how to show up authentically for your products, your business, AND your customers.

It’s time for a little bit of honesty hour involving Instagram, if “rich” content is enough, and if you can expect to see success, or even growth, on Instagram when you are getting less than 200 views per reel or a handful of likes per post.

During this episode of The Product Biz Podcast, you'll learn why your content might be falling flat, how to use your engagement to test your messaging with every single post, how to calculate how many sales to expect from each post based on your engagement (so you can see in plain daylight why your content might not be converting), the importance of WHY Instagram actually matters (and why it matters MORE than SEO) in the digital world we live in, and more.

Plus, you'll hear THREE types of content idea, new ways to approach your content that you probably haven't heard of, that will allow you to stand out from the sea vanilla content that is otherwise constant regurgitated on Instagram so you DO start to stand out and get real traction.

As an introvert who is learned to be super independent from an extremely young age… I didn't realize the power of proximity until I started my own business.

Back when I first started Plant Based Beauty, I was proud to do everything via me, myself, and I. I had a few small business owner friends who I met at markets that I would talk to about business every now and then, but I honestly felt awkward and out of place if I would ask them business questions. It didn't take long to realize that I didn't have anyone to turn to that actually understood what it meant to run a product based business, and the only “people” I had to talk to were Google, random blog posts, and other random insights from the internet.

When I left my full time job to focus on Plant Based Beauty fully, I KNEW that sitting behind my laptop and bring my phone by myself 24/7 was NOT going to be the most conducive environment to growth.

And I KNEW that when people want to run a faster mile, they join a running group that runs FASTER than them.

What I am sharing with you during today’s podcast episode is the reason WHY it’s so important to be around those that are “running faster than you”. We talk about borrowing the belief of others, how this can shift your perception of what’s even possible for you, the importance of being in an environment that uplifts you (rather than those Facebook groups that just complain about how hard it is to run a business, how Etsy is evil, and how social media is impossible...), how community prevents self-sabotage, and SO much more.

Because the truth is, if you are not surrounded by people who are contributing to your evolution, consider that part of why your evolution may feel more like a self-fulfilling prophecy.

How many times have you heard the phrase SALES FUNNEL and either wondered "what the hell does THAT mean?" or "HOW the hell do I do that for my business?"

In today’s episode, I interview Tracy Matthews and she spills the beans on how to create automatic sales in your business.

We’re talking the type of sales that come when someone opts in to your email list for your 20% off code… and then they actually use that coupon code and buy from you AND come back to buy AGAIN… from having the right sales funnel in place.

And the type of sales that come from SMS text message marketing and how to do it RIGHT - either in a very personal way or in a more scalable way.

And the type of sales that come from turning your first time customer into a REPEAT customer.

These are all sales that you can build out to become automatic when you learn how to leverage the sales funnels that Tracy shares with you today.

Tracy Matthews is the founder of Flourish & Thrive Academy and several companies in the jewelry and creative space. She supports hundreds of thousands of small business owners through her programs, best-selling book [The Desired Brand Effect}, and weekly podcast {Thrive b y Design] to help them stand out in a saturated market with their products.

Have you ever thought about being a coach, educator, or speaker, where you are impacting others and changing lives with something you are passionate about and want to share with the world? Maybe you already are a coach... or maybe you've secretly had dreams of sharing your knowledge with others by becoming a coach.

As you probably already know, I originally started Plant Based Beauty from a passion for DIY skincare that turned into a business without ever expecting it to. And then before I knew it, I took the leap to leave my full-time job, focused entirely on Plant Based Beauty, and grew it to multiple 6 figures. Somewhere along the way I realized that I had MORE purpose to uncover during this one life of mine... And I realized that I went through all the hardships, challenges, trial and error to learn how to grow and scale my small business in order to help other small business owners do the same. And that's exactly how Etsy Algorithm Secrets and Product Biz Academy were born.

One of the most impactful decisions I made to be able to grow my coaching business to where it is now, was signing up to work with James Wedmore as my own business coach. The reason Product Biz Academy and Etsy Algorithm Secrets are programs that my members LOVE, that get my members RESULTS, and has allowed me to become a better coach each and every day to GUIDE my members to reach THEIR dreams... has been from the mentorship and guidance from James.

In this episode, I share my journey, more details about James’ program (Business by Design) for online coaches and course creators, a mini interview with James, and a special bonus I am offering - the Authority Bootcamp - for coaches who sign up for Business by Design during enrollment this week!

James Wedmore is an 8-figure per year online entrepreneur that teaches coaches and online course creators how to skyrocket their online business. With over 14 years of experience running his own online business, he now runs Business By Design to help Digital CEOs all over the globe live their dream of massive income and impact, and has served over 8,000 members in his programs. He’s also the host of The Mind Your Business Podcast where he shares how to create lasting success from the inside out.

BY THE TIME YOU FINISH LISTENING, YOU'LL LEARN:

  • My journey from corporate career, to full-time small business owner, to full-time coach, and the resources and support that led me to working with over 160 members across my 2 coaching programs

One of the BIGGEST pieces of feedback I hear from small business owners is…

“I don’t want to talk about my products or business too much on Instagram because I feel like I might be bothering people.”

“I don’t want to talk about my products or business too much on Instagram because I feel like I might just be talking about it TOO much.”

“I don’t want to talk about my products or business too much on Instagram because I feel like people will get bored with what I have to say if I say the same things or show the same things over and over.”

“I don’t want to talk about my products or business too much on Instagram because people will unfollow me.”

If you’ve ever had these thoughts or other variations of these thoughts, I can almost guarantee that you love to come out with new products. (Am I right or am I right?)

Why can I almost guarantee this?

Because when we come out with new products, we no longer feel like we are bothering people. Because it’s something new! Something that hasn’t been done before! It’s exciting! And your brain starts to convince you that you could hardly be bothering people with something new, exciting, and never been done before.

So here’s what happens: before you know it, your bank account isn’t growing because you are constantly coming out with new products (hello raw ingredients, new labels, new packaging) and because all of your time is going towards launching something new and something else new and something new again.

And the cherry on top is that you’ve lost the chance to learn good old-fashioned marketing and selling… because your only strategy is newness, excitement, and never-been-done-before-ness. Which turns into a rinse and repeat cycle that can get pretty expensive and pretty exhausting.

What if I told you that constantly coming out with new products is a sign of being a people pleaser? A sign of not wanting to bother people or disrupt the piece? And a sign of self-sabotage that you might not even be aware of?

We’re getting deep today. And if this sounds anything like you, play special attention to this week’s episode so I can guide you through this and show you what’s on the other side of authentically owning what you speak about and how you show up for your business so you can make more money in your business.

What’s the main reason why you DON’T talk on your stories consistently?

Is it because you don’t like the sound of your voice and cringe to hear it when you playback what you posted… and you wonder what others will think about your voice, too?

Is it because it literally takes hours to get the PERFECT 60 second clip to post on your stories… and it frustrates you to spend that much time to get it right?

Is it because you don’t know what to say and are worried about being judged by others for not saying the right thing?

During today’s episode, I share with you a simple and FUN hack to get you comfortable with showing up on your Instagram stores. And this is a hack that I even recently started to do, to make showing up on Instagram easier and easier for me (even after years of already being front and center on IG!) And believe it or not, talking about your products is how you can sell more products. So, the sooner you get comfortable and confident talking loud and proud about your products on social media, the sooner you will make more money! And here's how you can make it easier on your starting today.

In today's episode, we interview Laura from The Necklace Studio who is a Product Biz Academy member that has seen some amazing growth!

Before joining Product Biz Academy, Laura tried to run a business with a business partner that did not work no matter what they tried, which led to closing the business.

Laura then started her own business and was worried about selling products at a high price point ($350 - $550) in a saturated market (jewelry).

But in the year after joining Product Biz Academy, Laura has sold 51 necklaces, has made $21,000 in sales on Etsy, and has her products sold in 2 stores.

Laura shares how she feels like anything is possible; not only from having the step-by-step processes inside Product Biz Academy, but also by learning how to believe in herself, show herself commitment, celebrate the wins, be accountable, how to enjoy the journey every step of the way, and more.

How amazing is it that a computer program can whip up blog posts, email campaigns, social media captions and more in the matter of seconds?

How amazing is it that some small business owners are outsourcing their ENTIRE marketing department (blog posts, email campaigns, social media captions and MORE) to Chat GPT?

The real reason this is amazing is NOT because of the "quick fix" that Chat GPT provides... the reason this is amazing is because the small business owners who DON'T hand over the reins of their entire marketing to Chat GPT will actually see massive success over the next 12 months.

Here's what I mean:

Your customers, your email subscribers, your followers, your blog post readers, and the rest of the human population can subconsciously tell when a piece of content was created by Chat GPT.

That's because Chat GPT is not a human. It's kind of obvious when you really think of it.

And when small business owners rely on Chat GPT for all of the WORDS in their business (aka the marketing in your business), they are removing the human aspect of their business. And one of the main reasons small businesses actually become success is BECAUSE of the human aspect - that is now being removed!

Unfortunately, what will happen to those small business owners is that their audience will get desensitized to their content... which means they will stop reading. Soon engagement goes down, email open rates go down, website visits go down, and once you lose people, it's pretty dang hard to get them back.

This is what Chat GPT truly is leading to.

If you are one of the small business owners who doubles down on AUTHENTIC, human to human marketing during this time when most are looking for an easy way out and quick fix, you will see incredible success.

And that's exactly what today's podcast episode is about. And if you didn't catch on just yet, this podcast episode is a little bite of satire. You're welcome.

Most small business owners only have FUN in their business when they are GOOD at what they are working on – when it comes easy, when they see success quickly, when they see results easily, when they feel they are the best of the best at it.

Can you relate? Do you naturally have a shitty time when you are bad at something or are learning something new and it DOESN’T come easy to you?

Well, let me ask you this… How much more likely would you see results if you had fun with the skills you were shitty at, so you kept at them and actually enjoyed the process and finally became good at them to the point that it led to results?

Business is a lot like sports. And when you play a sport, you usually start out as a beginner and work your way to expect status while having fun along the way. But most business owners look at their business in the complete opposite way.

Today you’re going to learn some of the top lessons from being an all-star high school sports benchwarmer and how these lessons translate into being a SUCCESSFUL small business owner.

During today’s episode, we’ll chat about:
- How to leave everything at the door when you step foot on the court
- How to show up every day, even IF you aren’t “good” at what you are working on, UNTIL you get better
- How to be a team player and cheer others on even when things AREN’T going your way
- How to have FUN with your evolution – rather than only having fun when you are good at something – even if you are a type A perfectionist
- How to get back to foundations when you lose a game

Paying yourself is one of those taboo topics that most people DON’T talk about which is why most people are confused, discouraged, demotivated with their business.

The truth is, there’s a big difference once you decide that a potential hobby of yours is now a business. And once you make that decision, contrary to popular belief, it DOESN’T mean that you will automatically make instant money that you get to instantly use on whatever you want in life.

Building a business with longevity – a business that will last, a business with results that will compound, a business that is set up for success in the long run, a business that you can scale with less of your time while it grows more and more – will require time, energy, resources, and money for it to get set up in that way.

And the first 2-3 years of your business are the most critical for the type of foundation needed that LEADS to the growth and success that most small business owners DO want.

In today’s episode, we talk about when to expect to start paying yourself and why investing back into your business with a long-term vision is critical in the first 2 years so your business CAN catapult in growth.

Growing a small business comes down to getting your products in front of more people. That’s truly the name of the game. And one piece to that puzzle that will help you get in front of massive amounts of people for the long run is through PR and news media by being featured in gift guides, product roundups, and more.

Think of it this way – when you are featured in an article, you get exposed to the audience that reads that article for the long run. If someone is looking for a Mother’s Day gift guide this year… or next year… or the following year… they may come across YOUR feature in a gift guide on the internet.

And the more gift guides and product features you are in across each season, holiday, and topic that’s relevant to your product, the more exposure you get! So, the main question becomes… how do you GET this type of exposure and get featured in gift guides and more? And today’s episode with special guest Gloria Chou will show you exactly how to do just that.

Gloria Chou is an award-winning Small Business PR coach, helping product owners, get more profitable, invisible by leveraging the power free media features. Her number one mission is to make PR accessible for diverse small businesses so that everybody can be seen and valued.

By the time you finish listening, you'll learn:

  • The difference between gift guides and product roundups and how they can help you get more exposure to your products
  • How to find the contact email of editors to pitch your products to where your products will be a perfect match for them
  • How to turn your email pitch into ones that editors will love so they decide to feature you
  • If you should send samples or not
  • The best way to follow up with a journalist

And more.

Erin was a former teacher, turned stay-at-home mom of 2 who started a business on the side during her kids’ naptime, turned all-in small business owner who is now having $1,700 sales DAYS with her small business... which is almost as much that she would make in one MONTH when previously working as a teacher.

During this episode, you’ll learn what it took for Erin to make the decision to go all-in with her business instead of going back to a teaching career… and what she had to let go of within her business in order to make her business growth actually happen.

We talk about letting go of safety nets and “plan B”, and how to free up your time to GROW your business for MORE sales by making backstock, removing porch pickup, doing LESS markets, NOT coming out with new products, and hiring help… and you’ll hear first-hand how you have to let GO in order to let IN.

Erin has been in Product Biz Academy for the last year so you’ll hear directly from her how much being inside of a coaching program with support and community has helped along the way, too.

What type of experience is your website (especially your homepage) giving to both customers AND retailers when they land on it?

Does this experience embody your brand, or does it give off a mismatched vibe?

Are the people landing on your website also getting the right information sequenced in the right way so they understand the story piece by piece that gets them one step closer to purchase?

Website marketing comes down to the visuals, the images, the colors, the words, and the sequencing of it ALL that portrays your business and products in a way that leads customers (and retailers) to purchase.

During this episode, we’re doing a live website audit for Product Biz Academy member, Erin from @nopooproducts, where you’ll learn top website marketing strategy including:

  • How your website content should be sequenced on your homepage to tell the full story of your business
  • What customers and retail stores should see RIGHT when they land on your website to start to understand the experience they will get from our products
  • How to make sure your brand (colors, fonts and more) is present on your website and also how to make sure your main brand value is EMBODIED on your website
  • What your top menu items should say to encourage the sale
  • How to uplevel reviews on your website

One of the biggest struggles that I hear from small business owners is that they can sell their products pretty easily at markets when they are physically there to talk about their products and let the customers touch, smell, feel, see, and try the products in person...

And at the same time, they struggle to get ANY online sales simply because the customers aren't able to experience that same things that they do in person.

Have you ever had that thought?

Here’s the truth – your products should do all the selling for you. And if they are only selling when YOU are there, that means your products are missing key pieces of information ON them.

Your products should do the selling for you to the point that if you AREN’T there to talk about them or if the customer ISN’T able to see the product in person, they still know EXACTLY what the product is, who it’s for, what the benefit is, and why the need it.

And this type of marketing magic can be done through your product labels and product photos.

Today’s episode of the Product Biz Podcast we dive into the marketing copy that you need to have on your product labels for customers – and retailers – to actually be interested in your products.

You’ll learn the top mistakes to avoid and hear real life before and after examples of super small label tweaks that will lead to more online sales, more in-store sales, and more interest from boutiques and retailers.

THIS is what’s needed for customers to actually buy your products online and for retailers to re-order your products because they are actually flying off the shelves!

And if you’ve been stuck thinking that the only way you can sell your products is if people see/feel/touch them in person, then this episode is for you.

The need to prove something to someone, the belief that we can only relax and be happy with our day if it was “productive”, the thoughts that "nothing is working for me", the fear of reaching out to that influencer or showing your face on your Instagram stories… What do these all have in common?

These are common limiting beliefs of business owners.

When I prove myself to THIS person, then I will be happy.
When I am productive, then I can be happy with my day.
When I get rejected, it means I’m a failure.
When things aren’t working out for me, it means I’m not capable or it’s not possible.

These limiting beliefs lead us to feelings of self doubt, overwhelm, frustration… and they also lead us to constantly stay in busy mode.

Because being busy means we can avoid the uncomfortable work, being busy means we can avoid the courage that is needed, being busy means we can avoid disappointment or rejection or any negative emotion.

And before you know it, being busy has stopped progress from happening in your business. And this is what we call self-sabotage.

Today’s special guest, Megan from @becomingzesty, shares with you how to overcome these limiting beliefs, why language is so important for success, and how you can start to create habits and act as if you already have what you want, in order to shake these limiting beliefs for good.

Megan Blacksmith is a speaker, NLP Trainer and mindset ninja. She is the co-founder of Zesty and the Becoming Zesty podcast. She trains coaches, practitioners and leaders with the tools for faster (inner) transformation without fighting themselves along the way through Functional NLP, a combination of the principles of NLP, functional medicine and compassionate coaching.

Most small business owners say they want more sales, more opportunities, more orders, more money…

But in reality, they don’t have any additional SPACE for more orders.

And I don’t mean physical space.

I mean energetic space.

If you are stressed out, burned out, spending all of your time on busy work, wondering why your sales aren’t increasing…

I hate to break it to you, but the reason your sales aren’t increasing is BECAUSE you are stressed out, burned out, and spending all of your time on busy work.

When there is SPACE, it will be FILLED.

Here’s one of the biggest mistakes that small business owners make.

When thinking about the reason WHY they want to grow their business…

Why they are spending hours on Instagram each week, spending thousands of dollars on suppliers, spending all week long making product, spending EVERY weekend at markets, spending time away from family/kids/loved ones to try and make it work…

When asking “what is it all for?”

Most small businesses list all of the things they would buy, experience, or get when they become successful. The new car, new house, Disney vacation, Mexico vacation, get out of debt, and more.

Or they think of all the people they want to prove wrong when they become successful. The husband, the mom, the friends, the people who doubted them.

I hate to break it to you… but money (and validation from others) is one of the worst motivators out there.

We THINK that reaching our MONEY goals and the potential new car will motivate us to wake up 2 hours early to get the things down that we DIDN’T get to yesterday in order to give our business the dedication it needs to grow… yet we hit the snooze button and let our to-do list grow longer and longer each day.

We THINK that reaching our money goals and the potential vacation will encourage us to work efficiently when our kids are at school to make the most of every second so we get closer to that goal… yet we spend so much time aimlessly picking up our phone and scrolling social media and we just can’t seem to break the bait.

We THINK that aiming toward our money goal and the potential debt payments will motivate us to do what is required, to be committed, to be dedicated to our business… yet we do the same thing over and over, wondering why nothing has changed.

That’s because money is NOT a great motivator.

That doesn’t mean we SHOULDN’T have tangible money goals. It simply means that there’s ANOTHER part to the equation.

And when you understand the second part of the equation, it’ll give you the drive and purpose and WHY behind your business to change how you show up, which changes the results that you see, which coincidentally gets you closer to that monetary goal.

During this week’s episode of The Product Biz Podcast, I walk you through an exclusive exercise that I shared with my Product Biz Academy members during our 2024 PBA kickoff call.

This exercise that YOU have access to led my members to say:

“I've had a personal breakthrough. For the first time EVER I am ALLOWING myself to feel like this business is truly mine and ALLOWING myself to open up and bring this one to my heart. I have had 3 other businesses and never ever felt like I do right now about this one.” – Andria

“This exercise made me dig deeper and actually made me start to cry. It created such a powerful connection. It further solidified that it’s not just a skincare product or skincare company that’s just making things for profit. I am actually helping people make healthier choices in their healing journey. Very powerful moment.” – Daisy B.

“It feels like my business has a purpose and it’s not just a hobby anymore.” – Daisy C.

Now it’s your turn to experience the same, so you can show up in a new way for your business to reach ALL of the dreams you have with a PURPOSE that drives you forward.

Here’s a hard truth - your brain will always try to keep you safe and comfortable instead of moving towards growth and possibility (that’s why it’s called SELF-sabotage, because it comes from your own SELF).

That’s because your brain’s ONLY job is SURVIVAL - to keep you safe.

Back in the early days, SAFE meant to be safe from predators, finding shelter to survive the night, thinking proactively about food sources and water…

But in today’s day and age, we HAVE food, water, shelter and NO predators… so how does your brain, which is geared towards survival, keep you safe today?

It’s by this silly little thing called your comfort zone.

And an outside perspective is the ONLY thing that can combat a warm, fuzzy, comfort zone that just DOESN'T want to let you go otherwise.

Think of it this way - if you DON'T have outside perspective, you will fall to the trap of your own thoughts.

You may THINK of making a big move or taking that next step…

But you may also start to question if you are doing it right.

Or if you are “good enough” to even do it.

You may start to question "Who am I to think this is possible? Who am I to go out of my way to do this big scary thing?"

And as soon as your brain starts to question in this way… you stop taking action. And when you stop taking action, you stop growing.

In today’s episode, we talk about how to break this habit of self sabotage.

By the time you finish listening, you'll learn:

  • How your brain was MEANT to keep you safe in the caveman age when threats were present... and how it keeps you safe and comfortable in today's day and age when there are NO active threats present
  • Where thoughts like "who am I to think this is possible?" and " I'm not cut out for this" and "they are so much more smart, bold, confident, extroverted, X Y Z more than me" originate from so you can stop them from sabotaging your dreams
  • Why NOT having an outside perspective will make you fall into the trap of playing small, preventing your growth
  • What you can do TODAY to help you grow if you DON'T have someone with an outside perspective to turn to for support

If you saw a construction company trying to build a skyscraper on top of quicksand, you'd wonder what the hell they were doing, wouldn't you?

Because you KNOW that in order for a skyscraper to be sturdy, for all of the floors to be built on top of each other, that it needs to have a solid foundation. The solid foundation is the ONLY thing that allow the structure to be stable.

Common sense, right?

Well, my question for you is on that same topic… are you building your business with a solid, stable foundation… or are you building your business on top of quicksand?

Most small business owners are trying to build a business on top of quicksand, and then they wonder why it’s not growing, why it’s not leading to consistent sales, why it’s just not working, and why they are exhausted, burned out, and stressed along the way.

So in today’s episode of the Product Biz Podcast, we're diving into what it means to build a business on quicksand and what it means to build a business with a solid foundation, so you can start 2024 on the right path to creating your best sales year yet.

By the time you finish listening, you'll learn:

  • What it means to focus on growth, longevity, and ACTUAL progress in your business… instead of shiny object syndrome
  • Why business growth is NOT a matter of doing more or working harder… and why it’s a matter of working on the right things that actually move the needle forward
  • What it means to be reactive and urgent in your business vs. having a solid foundation in your business… and which one leads to consistent sales
  • How to become the leader of your business, or the “captain of the ship” so you are directing your business to its end destination by setting the course on the RIGHT path - instead of being below deck, stuck in the day-to-day busywork

You might not even realize it, but this one sneaky thing called "fear" might actually be causing you to overcomplicate what you are doing in business. So often we put pressure on ourselves to do more, be more, work more, work harder, without asking what the intention is behind the actions we are taking. If the intention behind your action is fear, whether it be fear of judgement, fear of failure, fear of not having enough time, fear of not being worthy or good enough, then the actions we take will be from a place of fight or flight mode, which puts our nervous system into a frenzy and energetically shuts us off from creativity, new ideas, intuition, and inspiration for doing the things that actually move the needle. If you feel like you are doing "all the things" in your business with almost nothing to show for it, today's guest Danya Douglas Hunt is going to flip your thoughts, beliefs, expectations upside down and get you thinking about new intentions you set for your business, new beliefs you learn into, new patterns, and new ways of being... that leads to more fulfillment, more ease, AND more money.

Danya is a Mindset Performance coach who draws on her experience as a former Olympic Athletic Therapist and Strength and Conditioning coach to help visionaries, thought leaders, entrepreneurs & experts get out of their own way, bust through income and impact plateaus and become unf*ckwithable.

By the time you finish listening, you'll learn:

  • Common money triggers, money beliefs, and ways of working that block small business owners from actually growing their business
  • How your subconscious identity affects your thoughts, which affects your intention, which affects your actions, which affects your results

When you’re constantly in work mode, your creative well can run dry, leading to frustration and burnout. That’s why recharging is crucial. By taking breaks, engaging in activities that spark joy, and allowing yourself to play, you’re replenishing your creative reserves and inviting fresh ideas and inspiration into your life. But when life gets overwhelming, we often hear the term “self-care” being thrown around... and the truth is, recharging goes beyond self-care. It’s about giving yourself the time and space to truly reconnect with what makes you feel alive. It’s not just about pampering your physical well-being; it’s about reigniting that spark of creativity that might have been buried under deadlines and responsibilities. As adults, we often forget the sheer joy and curiosity we experienced as children. But within each of us lies an inner child yearning to be set free. By reconnecting with the activities that brought us pure happiness in our younger years, we can tap into a well of creativity and inspiration.

Take a moment to reflect on what you loved to do as a child. Did you enjoy drawing, singing, playing sports, or building things with Legos? Revisiting these childhood passions can serve as a powerful catalyst for recharging your creativity. Allow yourself to indulge in those activities and embrace the sense of wonder and playfulness that comes with them.

As a Cycle Business coach, Renae has had the honor of empowering hundreds of women to redefine the way they work. In 2016, as a new mom to 3 and a husband with a brain tumor, realizing we are never guaranteed tomorrow, she was determined to create a life she loved and jumped 2 feet into a side hustle with the hopes of creating financial and time freedom. In 2019…she was completely burnt out and wondered if it was in fact possible to raise a family and build a business at the same time. Fast forward to 2021, when using her body’s natural rhythms allowed her to 5x her revenue, work fewer hours, and feel so much more balanced along the way... All because she discovered the power of your menstrual cycle. Renae is now the go-to expert and sought out speaker when it comes to creating a cycle-based feminine approach to building your business. She's the host of The Cycle Advantage podcast and the founder of Your Cycle Advantage, her signature program empowering women to integrate their bodies within their business for higher levels of success.

By the time you finish listening, you'll learn:

  • The difference between pampering self car and inner child recharging with creativity
  • The importance of recharging your creativity every single day
  • The perfect avenue to sell your products on if your creativity turns into a new hobby

There are 2 ways to tell if you are energetically aligned with the frequency of money: the first one is obvious - if you are MAKING money and money comes easy to you! The second one is not so obvious - and it depends on the state of your nervous system. Your nervous system is what balances the state of your body and when it's out of balance it can show up in ways like anxiety, perfectionism, feeling irritated, unmotivated, feeling hopeless, and even in sneaky ways like checking your data every single day (like your Etsy views and visits, or your bank account), anxiously waiting for things to change. These are signs that your nervous system is out of balance... which I'm willing to bet if you resonate with them, then money coming in might feel out of balance, too. Today's special guest Niki Ferguson will be sharing with you how to regulate your nervous system, why it's important, and how to align with the frequency of money so you can MAKE more money!

Niki is a Money Healing Coach. She works with coaches and creatives to help them grow their bank accounts while regulating their nervous systems around money.

BY THE TIME YOU FINISH LISTENING, YOU'LL LEARN:

  • What it means to have an over (hyper) or under (hypo) regulated nervous system and how it shows up on a daily basis

"Planning" is one of those words where you either cringe at the sight of it because you're known for just winging it... or you get super excited to talk about ALL of the things you have planned.
But the true magic of planning is actually an in-between. The place where you know your dreams and goals and what you are working towards... and how to create a plan, with wiggle room, to actually achieve them because the plan gives you the vision and the guidance on what steps to take.

If you're NOT a planner and love being spontaneous all day everyday - or if you plan maybe a little TOO much without any room for spontaneity at all - this episode with special guest Laurie Wright will share with you how to use planning in a way that aligns with you, so you can make progress towards your goals, reflect on the steps you've taken, and stay motivated towards the big dreams you have.

Laurie Wright, aka "Not Your Average Grandma," identifies herself as a late-in-life purpose-finder who had a 30+ year career in corporate America before finding her true passion as a certified Master Neurocoach. With her signature program, The Second Half S.P.A.R.K. School™, Laurie helps women to ignite a later-in-life spark by connecting with their authentic self and uncovering what they truly want out of life so they won’t ever find themselves asking “What if?” She also has a podcast called “Living Your Sparked Second Half” where she covers topics intended to inspire listeners to live a happier and more fulfilling second half.BY THE TIME YOU FINISH LISTENING, YOU'LL LEARN:

  • How to break down your big dream into 90 day goals and how to prioritize the RIGHT daily tasks to work on to actually make the progress you've always wanted
  • How you can plan in a way that leaves room for spontaneity
  • Why people procrastinate even when they plan - and how to make sure you don't fall into this trap of potential self-sabotage
  • What questions to ask yourself at the end of each day to know where you can do better, where you kicked butt, and what you learned, so you're always reflecting on becoming the best version of you

Many female biz owners are operating on a 24 hour schedule, trying to get as many things possible done each and every day… when our bodies are designed to operate in a 28 day cycle instead. The truth is, women have a biological advantage when they ditch the standard 9-5 way of working and lean into a 28 day rhythm instead.

And when you learn how to use your 28 day cycle to your advantage, you learn exactly when you should be recharging, when you should be accelerating your business forward, when you should be connecting with others, and when you should be reflecting and making room for new... so you make even more progress with less burnout and less hours worked.

Each one of these 4 phases during your 28 day cycle are a superpower once you learn how to tap into them… and Renae is going to share exactly how to do that with you today.

She's the host of The Cycle Advantage podcast and the founder of Your Cycle Advantage, her signature program empowering women to integrate their bodies within their business for higher levels of success.BY THE TIME YOU FINISH LISTENING, YOU'LL LEARN:

  • What each of the 4 stages of your cycle are and which projects to work on during each stage to maximize your energy and efficiency
  • How women function/interact with time differently than men... and how to use it to your advantage
  • What you can do even if you don't currently have a menstrual cycle or regular cycle

Did you know that it takes just 6 seconds for someone to determine if they are going to listen to your Instagram story... or if they are going to simply pass through it and move on to what the next person in line has to say?
That’s because 6 seconds is all it takes for someone to decide if they want to listen to you, if they like you and if they trust you.

Did you also know that in just 6 seconds, your followers have decided if they are going to buy from you or not?

They're deciding that quickly if your products are the ones that they want andneed… or if they can simply live without it.

In those 6 seconds, people are subconsciously attracted to you or are holding off… simply from your voice.

And this isn't about the sound of your voice. It’s about the WAY you speak. And the way your own beliefs, fears, and judgements show up through the words you say.

So my question to you is this… are you attracting customers to your products when you speak?

Or, are you focusing more on the words you are saying and the thoughts running through your head about "getting it right" or "what will people think"?

In this week’s episode, voice and communication coach Katherine Beck shares how to let go of the fear and judgment of showing up on social media and how to attract more sales... with your best kept secret and most underutilized tool: your voice.

With over 20 years of being 'the voice' of big brands, Katherine Beck (voiceover artist & voice coach) is the leading authority on how to speak & perform with intention & influence so you can create a greater impact in the world and make more money doing what you love to do. With over 30 years of performing & public speaking Katherine has developed her own unique methodology to voice training that applies to Entrepreneurs, Actors, Broadcast Journalists and Podcasters. Speaking of podcasts, she is the host of a #1 globally ranked podcast, The Voice of your Brand as well as the globally ranked podcast The All American Actor's Podcast which is ranked in the top 1.5% of all podcasts. Katherine is the CEO & Founder of Launch Your Voice & All American Voice.BY THE TIME YOU FINISH LISTENING, YOU'LL LEARN:

  • How your inner thoughts, beliefs & feelings can be heard in your voice every time you speak
  • The 3 CONNECTIONS you need to sell with ease and how to use your voice to authentically connect and attract customers AND sales
  • Why selling with emotion - not just logic - will increase your sales when you are speaking about your products and your business

Daisy is the owner of Little Buddha, an organic bath and body small business, who decided to take her established brand and sell her products on Etsy to create another stream of passive income.A few years prior, she was hesitant about Etsy, gave it a quick shot, and ended up calling it quits – she heard from so many other small business owners that Etsy’s fees are too high and the market is too saturated. When she initially put her products up on Etsy a few years ago, she didn't get any sales, so she closed her account and focused on sending people to her direct website.

A few years later, her business became very established. A beautiful website done by a professional, amazing professional photos, incredible professional branding. And when we started to work together, we decided it was time to give Etsy another try.

A lot of small business owners might be thinking “Wait, what? She had such an established brand with her own website and now she’s going BACK to Etsy… isn’t that backwards?”
But we had a vision in mind: to create another form of passive income for her business.

Today, she has 600 sales on Etsy from customers who may not have otherwise found her. She has over 200 5-star reviews. She sold $10,000 of products in January (the slowest month of the year!) and over HALF of that came directly from Etsy. At the time of this recording, she was going on a 3 consecutive month streak with sales on Etsy every single day except for ONE day… and that streak was from end of November to the end of February, encompassing 2 of the SLOWEST months of the year for online sales.

And now, she has her weekends back to spend time in nature, travel, and spend time with family...due to the passive income that Etsy provides her and her business

But.... it wasn't always that easy and it didn't happen instantly. Tune in to listen to Daisy's story of what it truly took for her to reach these results. LINKS MENTIONED IN TODAY'S EPISODE

Most of us have had situations where we wanted to book a hotel room that looked perfect in the photos and sounded perfect in the description... but we hesitated because there were no customer reviews... so we ended up going back to the search results page to find another option. Can you relate? Well, when you think about your listings on Etsy - are you also missing out on sales from not having enough customer reviews? We live in a world of social proof, where people look to see what other customers' experiences were like to help them make the buying decision. And when there are 5-star reviews that customers can rely on, it squashes any potential doubts on why NOT to buy your product and leads them to actually BUY it!

If you struggle with converting views and favorites into sales, getting more reviews will give your customers the trust they need to click through and actually purchase. Or, if you even struggle with being seen on the first search result page on Etsy, getting more reviews will give Etsy the trust it needs to show your products to more people. This is the power of reviews!BY THE TIME YOU FINISH LISTENING, YOU'LL LEARN:

  • Why reviews lead to more customers sales
  • How to bump your placement on the search results page by getting more reviews to impact the Etsy algorithm

Did you know that 30% of small businesses don't make it past their second year? In my second year of Plant Based Beauty, I almost became a figure in that statistic when I was started to ask myself "when is it time to throw in the towel and go back to a full time corporate job?"

The truth is, most struggling small business owners aren't growing because they are focusing on making money fast…but instead of focusing on making money FAST, what we REALLY want is to make money CONSISTENTLY and with less effort over time.

And the ONLY way to do that is by building your business like a machine that brings in consistent sales for you that you can rely on.

BY THE TIME YOU FINISH LISTENING, YOU’LL LEARN:

  • Why focusing on fast money leads to burnout, exhaustion and inconsistent sales
  • How you can go from focusing on making money fast… to building a machine that makes money CONSISTENTLY and with less effort over time
  • How Etsy can EASILY become one of the foundations of your machine to create consistent passive income

A lot of struggling small business owners make the mistake of thinking that coming out with new products will increase their sales.

They get in a cycle where they come out with a new product every week or every month. They buy new raw materials, experiment, take photos, edit photos, post on their website, post on social media....

Some sales come through when they announce their new product, but after the hype dies down they jump right into creating the NEXT new product because it's the only way they know how to make money. Does that sound like you?

BY THE TIME YOU FINISH LISTENING, YOU'LL LEARN:

  • Why going all in with your BEST SELLERS is the best plan of action for your business
  • How having LESS products equals MORE money
  • How to connect with your target audience to increase your H*LL YES sales, instead of trying to be everything to everyone

Have you ever worked an ENTIRE day but when you sat down to think about it, you end up asking yourself WHAT did I even do? Chances are, if you frequently feel like this, then your business probably ALSO isn't at the state that you want it to be in.

Most small biz owners work ALL day - without ever looking to see WHAT they are actually working on - and they end up ONLY focusing on busy work that does NOT lead to more sales.

That’s because most small business owners think "If I work all day, then I'll be successful". But that’s not the true - it's a matter of WHAT you work on, not HOW LONG you work.... Being “BUSY” isn't going to grow your business…but being intentional with WHAT you work on and where you spend your time, will.

BY THE TIME YOU FINISH LISTENING, YOU'LL LEARN:

  • What your DREAM sales goal is and how to stay motivated towards reaching it
  • The top 3 projects you should focus on - and the projects that you should AVOID - to reach progress
  • How to free up your time to focus on money making projects instead of being stuck with busy work every day

But... have you ever ran a sale that led to barely ANY new orders? Maybe you can relate and have had times where you practically gave your products away for FREE and people STILL weren't buying.

The truth is, it’s not a matter of how low your prices are… It’s a matter of attracting and connecting with the RIGHT audience that actually WANTS to buy.

BY THE TIME YOU FINISH LISTENING, YOU'LL LEARN:

  • Why discounts and coupons don't work
  • Why it's important to attract and CONNECT with the right audience
  • How to go from forcing and pushing sales, to connecting and ALLOWING sales

So many small business owners think that because their products are simple, it means their products aren't good enough.

And if you're like me, then chances are you may have had someone straight up tell you that they could "just make it themselves"... so you shy away from promoting and talking about your products, because you think they are too simple...and deep down you might feel like a fraud selling such a "simple" product.

But this is one biggest fears that small business owners have to overcome. And if you don't realize the VALUE your products bring.. then you'll be stuck in the same spot I was. Scared to talk about your products. Scared to hear people's reaction...and how likely is your business to grow with this mindset?

BY THE TIME YOU FINISH LISTENING, YOU'LL LEARN:

  • Why we, as makers, have this specific fear of our products being too simple and not good enough BECAUSE we are makers
  • The VALUE that YOU actually bring with your products and the problem that YOU solve for your customers (yes, YOU!)
  • How you can CONFIDENTLY sell your products, no matter how simple or complex they are

Most handmade small business owners make the common mistake of spending most of their time making inventory... they think that creating is the “meat” of their business and that everything else is just busy work.

The truth is, inventory is necessary - we need to have a product to sell and fulfill orders - but it’s not going to grow your business on it’s own… having inventory does not equal sales. Spending all week making inventory does not equal sales.

Creating consistent sales with your business is not a matter of how much time you spend on making inventory… It's a matter of how much time you spend on GROWING and BUILDING your business to GET more sales.

BY THE TIME YOU FINISH LISTENING, YOU'LL LEARN:

  • The 2 types of roles in your business, and the one most people get stuck in
  • The role that we ALL need to step into, no matter how big or small, new or established our business is
