Father Brown is a detective period comedy drama television series loosely based on the Father Brown short stories by G. K. Chesterton.
Detective Inspector John Rebus is the protagonist in the Inspector Rebus series of detective novels by the Scottish writer Sir Ian Rankin, ten of which have so far been televised as Rebus.
The novels are mostly set in and around Edinburgh. Rebus has been portrayed by John Hannah and Ken Stott for Television, with Ron Donachie playing the character for the BBC Radio dramatisations.

The Man in the High Castle (1962), by Philip K. Dick, is an alternative history novel wherein the Axis Powers won World War II.
The story occurs in 1962, fifteen years after the end of the war in 1947, and depicts the political intrigues between Imperial Japan and Nazi Germany as they rule the partitioned United States. The titular character is the author of a novel-within-the-novel entitled The Grasshopper Lies Heavy, itself also an alternative history of the war.
The Campbell Playhouse was a CBS radio drama series directed by and starring Orson Welles. The series offered 60-minute adaptations of classic plays and novels, plus some adaptations of popular motion pictures. Campbell’s Soup signed on as the show’s sponsor.
here were 17 episodes in this short lived 1967 BBC detective series based on the Sexton Blake pulp novels. Alas, we only have 14. If you see them anywhere else, please let us know. The three missing ones are dated Sep 7 & 28 and Oct 12 - all 1967. This series starred William Franklyn as Blake who was a well-known UK character actor on many shows during that period, and later. Sexton Blake was a contemporary of Holmes, Raffles, Drummond.
Doctor at Large was a 13-part BBC Radio adaptation which began in June 1969. It starred Richard Briers as Simon Sparrow and Geoffrey Sumner as Sir Lancelot Spratt. Originally from the British physician, Richard Gordon, who wrote 18 novels about the hapless young doctors. There were seven movies and seven TV series as well. This is the second radio series before it moved on to television.

The coastal village of Polford in the West Country used to be very prosperous as a fishing village. But times have changed, and the area seems to have fallen onto hard times. However, recent events may bring the area back to prosperity …
That is, until a dead body is found on the cliffside beach.
Sergeant Fowler of the local constabulary begins an investigation as to who the dead man is and how/why he died, assisted by the newly arrived P.C. Beaumont, fresh from the Police Training College and never having even seen a dead body before. But solving this case may not be so simple, especially when more dead bodies turn up indicating that a serial killer may ne on the loose in the area and Sergeant Fowler’s handling of the case may be compromised by interference from higher-ups in the police force …

Killing Orders PUBLISHED 1985 Killing Orders, V.I. Warshawski’s third adventure, starts when her great-aunt Rosa summons the detective to her cold suburban home. Rosa made V.I.’s childhood miserable and the detective resents the command to help her aunt prove she didn’t embezzle five million dollars from a local Dominican priory.
All hell breaks loose when a mysterious opponent tries to take Vic off the case by throwing acid in her eyes and burning down her apartment. And when a friend who’s involved in the case is brutally murdered, it begins to look as if Vic hasn’t got a prayer.
But Warshawski continues to follow every lead, even when they point to some pretty unorthodox conclusions: Perhaps the Dominicans are covering up a financial scandal. Maybe the whole conspiracy is under the patronage of an international conglomerate, or of Don Pasquale, king of the Chicago mob. Worst of all, someone who’s close to Vic could be involved—her darkly handsome English lover, Roger Ferrant, or even Aunt Rosa herself.
