For week 17, I have chosen to do an afrobeat song titled Essence by WIZKID ft TEMS & JUSTIN BIEBER. I’d say that I like the song because of the artiste's individual textures and style of singing (Especially Tems’), and I’d say that Justin fits into the afro vibes well(that's a true musicianship skill right there). Here’s to Vibes Web 3 music competition week 16.
First of all, I want to say a big shout-out to @lordbutterfly , @silentscreamer , and @verbal-d for their effort in making this weekly contest a bigger one, it is not very easy but you guys are pulling it off. I also want to say another shout-out to the prize winners of the week 15 contest and of course all of the nominees, cheers to many more.

This week regarding the theme proposed by our very own @pandamama which honestly gave a nostalgic feeling of so many songs of different genres. Songs like Careless Whisper that Woke Me Up Almost Every Morning When I Was Very Little, Beggin by Manneskin, Crazy by Gnarl Barkly, Mercy Said No Cece Winans, MJ songs, and many more. This week though, I will be doing “FLY ME TO THE MOON” by FRANK SINATRA. I chose this song because I like Frank to an extent plus, this song I love so much and I've also usually found most of his songs funny and hard to do (especially somethin' stupid) so, this is a personal challenge for me. USE HANDSFREE FOR BETTER SOUND QUALITY Hello hive,

Here is to Vibes Web 3 music competition week 15. I present to you today my first composition ever since I joined the community. I came across this instrumental on YouTube some days ago, I liked it and I thought to do something with it. I started writing the song on Sunday evening, finished it on Monday morning, and shot the video in the evening even though I had yet to master the words well(had to keep checking my notepad so I don't mix them up). It’s week 14 of the Vibe Web 3 music competition with the theme “SAM FELDT” and welcome to my 2 am session(smiles).

For my entry this week, I thought to do things a bit differently, I’ve recorded a live performance of me singing with my mobile device using Bandlab (a very interesting free DAW), it's been quite a little while since I did this but yeah, I'm going to do it anyways(smiles)

Without further ado, my song choice for the week in response to the theme “SAM FELDT” is PICK ME UP by SAM FELDT ft SAM FISCHER(a very beautiful song). This song I’ve known for a while now and when I saw the theme and guest for this week, I already knew what song to do, all that was needed was just for me to master the words and get into the character of the song. In response to the theme of the week "PAIN", I have chosen to do " Glimpse of Us" by Joji. Glimpse of Us is a very emotional heartbreak song, a strong heart cry from one lover to another.

I picked this song because I feel like it is a good song that catches the concept of the theme. Guess who's back, it's me "BOBBYDONES" the "every so often" guy (smiles). Well, I wouldn't want to bore you all by telling you stories that don't add up, but one thing that cannot be over-emphasized is that "life happens" and we just have to keep up with it flow.

Happy New Week to everyone on the chain, I hope we are all doing okay, I must say that I'm pleased to be back here again. Feel free to call me TheLostButFoundGuy [smiles...]. Just a few weeks ago I heard about this community, and I've been fortunate to witness so many interesting entries by different artists right here on the chain. Although I've tried [well, maybe not enough] to make an entry myself it hasn't been easy because I haven't done this in a long while and I have become extremely rusty [I fell off guys].

Today, I finally made a video despite having to have gone through a lot of "an abnormal day stress" and another plus was that the key wanted to kill me [I guess that was obvious but of course, fake smile saves]. I still hope you enjoy the video.

The song I have chosen to do I would consider to be an oldie but a goodie. KILLING ME SOFTLY is a lovely song by the FUGEES AND MS LAURYN HILLS. It is a lovely R&B hip-hop soul song with a good love substance that lifts your spirit, the vibe is 100% which is why I have chosen to do an acoustic cover of it and I honestly hope you enjoy it.

Hello lovelies...

I'm so honored to be part of this week's open mic event, and I'm kind of excited because this week's theme "TU ESTAS AQUI" which translates to mean "YOU ARE WITH ME" got me feeling perhaps, it is literally how I remind myself of who I am every day. My Thanksgiving abounds.

Therefore, I have chosen to do a beautiful Disney Movie(SAFETY) soundtrack today, titled HOLD US TOGETHER by H.E.R. Ft TAUREN WELLS. I love the song because it's a very relative song to me. Depending on the listener's perspective, one could learn so much from the song.

You know, it's a beautiful feeling when you know that you're not alone, in different ways, it helps one's confidence. For me, the song HOLD US TOGETHER sounds like an inspirational plus gospel RnB song, the kind of song that helps you hold your head high when it is about falling. I got to know about the song through H.E.R.(trust me, it has been added t my favorite list ever since). H.E.R. is one of my favorite RnB artists, and I've always loved her for her deliveries.

Estoy tan honrada de ser parte del evento de micrófono abierto de esta semana, y estoy un poco emocionada porque el tema de esta semana "TU ESTAS AQUI" que se traduce como "TU ESTAS CONMIGO" me hizo sentir tal vez, es literalmente como me recuerdo a mi misma de quien soy todos los días. Mi Acción de Gracias abunda.

Conocí la canción a través de H.E.R. (créanme, se ha añadido a mi lista de favoritas desde entonces). H.E.R. es una de mis artistas de RnB favoritas, y siempre me ha encantado por sus entregas.

Here's to a new year, I'm glad to be on this stage again, I guess this is my first entry into the community this year and believe me I felt bad not making any post last week to celebrate the community's anniversary but we meuve, cheers to more shine @afritunes.

Okay so, for the love of "weird", I've chosen to do the song FOUND by TEMS FT BRENT FAIYAZ. I'm a huge fan of Tems' music because of how weird they sound most times. She even mentioned in one of her recent interviews that, at the time she started out, she had to cope with so many rejections because no one wanted to produce her songs for her. For this reason, she had to learn production by herself.

The song FOUND for me is pretty song, a conversation between two lovers. I love the song for the highs and lows and the different emotions portrayed by the two artists and of course their amazing tones. Here's to a new one, it's been hard trying to find my balance with work, school, and life in general, that's why it seems like I come and go here on the chain but I'm happy to be participating in this week's event of the open mic community.

For this week's theme that was chosen by one of our superb talents here on the chain whose name is @bertrayo sat so well with me to the extent of bringing a collision of songs of different tribes in my mind(it's actually why my entry is late).

At first, I thought about doing my tribe song but I thought it wouldn't be challenging enough for me, the reason is I felt like it would just sound like me doing what I do on regular days and some other funny reasons.

Minutes later, I thought about doing one of my best Portuguese songs but then I decided to choose the south African song which you've probably seen or are about to see. IMALI featuring BLAQ DIAMOND is a song by a south African superstar made out of the voice of SA some years ago. AMI FAKU was an awesome talent at the time on the show, and now she's even more than awesome. I chose to do the song because at first hearing it, I loved all of its elements, the production was great, the vocals were good and yeah the emotion, I loved everything even before I found out what the song was about.

Unfortunately, I couldn't get the original instrumental but I was able to do something with a remake of it, not too long but I hope you enjoy it.

Aquí está a uno nuevo, ha sido difícil tratar de encontrar mi equilibrio con el trabajo, la escuela, y la vida en general, es por eso que parece que voy y vengo aquí en la cadena, pero estoy feliz de estar participando en el evento de esta semana de la comunidad de micrófono abierto.

Para el tema de esta semana que fue elegido por uno de nuestros talentos magníficos aquí en la cadena cuyo nombre es @bertrayo se sentó tan bien conmigo hasta el punto de traer una colisión de canciones de diferentes tribus en mi mente (en realidad es por eso que mi entrada parece tarde).

Al principio, pensé en hacer la canción de mi tribu, pero pensé que no sería lo suficientemente desafiante para mí, la razón es que sentí que sólo sonaría como yo haciendo lo que hago en los días regulares y algunas otras razones divertidas.

Minutos más tarde, pensé en hacer una de mis mejores canciones portuguesas pero luego decidí elegir la canción sudafricana que probablemente has visto o estás a punto de ver. IMALI featuring BLAQ DIAMOND es una canción de una superestrella sudafricana hecha de la voz de SA hace algunos años. AMI FAKU era un talento impresionante en ese momento en el programa, y ahora es aún más que impresionante. Elegí hacer la canción porque al escucharla por primera vez, me encantaron todos sus elementos, la producción era genial, las voces eran buenas y sí la emoción, me encantó todo incluso antes de saber de qué trataba la canción.

Desafortunadamente, no pude conseguir la instrumental original pero pude hacer algo con un remake de ella, no muy largo pero espero que lo disfruten.

It's been quite a long time since I showed up here, happy to be back again.

I've got a new one for you all, today I will be presenting a cover of mine, the original song is by HOZIER titled TAKE ME TO CHURCH. It's a beautiful song from way back (2015), got nominated for different awards and did win a few.

I love the song so much for different reasons. I love the pace, love the energy, and of course hozier's sweet tone, I'm not a big fan of rock music but this particular one hits differently. The bridge for me is the part that I love the most because of the drastic fall of the energy level, the emotions with which he related those lines and of course, the words were the biggest highlight of the song for me.

Recording this cover was a bundle of stress for me, I had to retake the record like a million times (that's an exaggeration though), and there were so many disturbances in my hostel (power inclusive) aside from the long day that I already had at school on this day. Forgive me if you notice any sort of glitch in my voice that is obviously from the fact that I've overworked It(remember I retook the record like a billion times), and then again I'm not a major vocalist. This is just a part of me sharing with you all how much I love music. I honestly hope you enjoy this video.

The reason I've chosen to do this song aside from the fact that I just enjoy its genre, it is how it makes me miss the seaside, the cool wind that ripples all around, the beautiful sight of mother nature, the serenity, "the only time I'm sane and not in my pipe dreams"like I wrote in one of my poems some months ago, unfortunately, I didn't publish it here on hive and always want to pull me there. The second place that feels like home. Shooting this video in an enclosed space wasn't something I actually enjoyed, but I had to go on with the shoot anyways cause I had some other things that were demanding my time which leaves me with no spare hours to search for a location(s).

First, I'd like to say thank you to everyone that supported my first entry here in the community, as this will be my second entry, and then again, I wouldn't want to lie that I was happy that no one told me that they liked my shirt in the comment of that entry though, but I hope to hear that in this entry(the one in my thumbnail, I made it myself, took the picture myself too😁🤗)

Okay so, for this week's theme(opportunity) that was chosen by one of our adorable artists here @sekani, I will be doing a song cover like I did the last time but of a different artist yeah. His name is PASSENGER, and the song of his that I will be doing this week is titled LET HER GO.

You might indeed know the song to be an ordinary heartbreak song but, I tell you it's more than that, even the songwriter mentioned(Michael David Rosenberg). You know, we don't seem to know the worth of some chances until we lose them. For me though, I feel like the message the writer and the singer of that song tried to pass to us the lovely audience was how he(the writer) lost the chance to be with the love of his life, who e could as well say he lost the opportunity to withhold her love.

I'm sorry, I might not have sounded well in the introductory segment of this video or maybe stuttered a little, that was because I was mourning my phone at that time(still here though). It fell and broke while I was recording this video around 4:30 am, I just had to finish up with my dad's phone.

Hello, Afri-tunes community, it's my first entry here and I'm so glad to be in this new space. Ehmm so, today I chose to do a song by one of the biggest trending new artiste in the Nigerian hip-hop industry, ASAKE. The song of his that I chose to do Is titled BABA GOD, I did an acoustic version though, I didn't even know the song not to mention liking it until I came across a video where he had a live session of that same song on Glitch Africa and I've just loved it since then.

Coming up here on hive, and getting to know about this community through @ksam was the inspiration that drove me to record this song. I recorded this song amid my stress-filled week, had to reach out to a friend to help me make the instrumental, related everything to him via WhatsApp, he again had too had to spare some minutes to help create the instrumental cause he had his own jobs to take care of. He made the instrumental in few hours and forwarded it to me with an apology (...no vex say I no add all the element, like guitar and some other minors).

I had to begin with the backing vocals before the lead vocal(funny right), it just happened like that and here I am... I wouldn't want my ikorodu brothers miss this so I'm just going to mention them here @starstrings01 @mayorkeys

Good day hive open mic community, it is no news that y'all welcome newbies in here almost every time. well yes, I'm one of those guys, I'm new to the chain. I came across the community and I fell in love with its environment.

To save our time, I'll save the story for the story writers (smiles...). I'm just going to cut straight to the chase so, like the theme says CREATIVITY AND FREESTYLE. Today I will be doing a cover of this particular song that I have always loved titled "ME YOU I" by a group of two Nigerian folk artistes known as "THE CAVEMEN". Funny how I've been wanting to cover this song for so long yeah, I'm kind of happy that I'm here now.
