Living in your car is no joke. The fears of being carjacked or robbed are all too real and they happen all too often.
In the darkness of night, the inner demons rear their ugly heads. The chances of being seen or worse being trapped force you to live in yet another type of fear.

Being homeless in Los Angeles is no joke. Having a vehicle should make this fate more bearable, at least that’s what I thought.
I have to hide in plain sight and that’s no easy task with a mid-sized SUV. I am grateful for the protection my vehicle affords me but sometimes in a fit of insanity, I just want to walk away, leave it, and sleep under a bush.
As I think about my situation, I have to protect myself, my vehicle (home), and what little possessions I have left.
Lately, protecting my sanity has become my hardest challenge.
Fortunately, we have an upcoming election. Both candidates, running for mayor, pledge to end homelessness, so if the winner keeps their promise, I can get the help I need to get into a home and a new job.
I am counting on Karen Bass or Rick Carusso to help me to help myself out of this nightmare. . . Please . . . Before it is too late . . .

Last night, more of the same, a fitful sleep, filled with fear, cold, and loneliness.
Sometimes I wonder which is worse, the slow claustrophobic smothering I feel as I sit and wait for daylight or my breathing in the fresh outdoor air as I sleep on the cold ground.
Fortunately, we have two candidates running to be the next mayor of Los Angeles California. Rick Caruso and Karen Bass.
Whichever candidate wins, I win because they both promised to end homelessness in Los Angeles.
Come take this ride, I can't do it alone and I need you, as my silent companion.
I am living my worst nightmare! I lost my job and my home. So far, I still have my car which doubles as my new home.
Time may heal all wounds, but for me, time gives me too much time to think. The challenge is to keep my thoughts positive. I can't help thinking about what will happen if I lose this car. Somedays, I actually feel insane...
