Wendy O'Connor is a full-time bookkeeper and was looking for a new career she could do part time at her home until she retires from her present career in a couple of years. She wanted to get the jump and be ready to go full time in the future, so she found our training and hopped in. Listen to her interview as she says what she liked about our career training program. She has already been placed into an apprenticeship and is turning in files and making money right out of the gate!
Morgan Tabor is a recent graduate of Learn to Transcribe Academy's course on legal transcription. She's from Canada and was looking for some part-time supplemental income in addition to her current full-time job. She wants to pay off some debt and get a jump start into a potential second career in the future. Legal transcription is the perfect fit for Morgan for several reasons: She has prior experience as a medical transcriptionist, and she loves anything legal, especially watching crime shows and listening to crime podcasts. We know that Morgan is going to do extremely well in her new career as a litigation transcriber, and we wish her much success!
Chrisel is originally from the Philippines, now living in Canada. She graduated from nursing school at the height of the pandemic and was pretty much overworked and overloaded with patients to care for. After two years, she decided to move away from nursing and learn to be a medical scribe. She realized how much she enjoyed working from home typing, so her next step was to try to find another career doing just that. That's when she found legal transcription, more specifically litigation transcription, which fascinated her. She tells us her story and how she loved her training at Learn to Transcribe Academy and how things are going for her now. As soon as this video aired, she was immediately offered a U.S. apprenticeship with a company and also a job transcribing for a solo court reporter. Come meet Chrisel and leave your comments below!
Kofi Borsah immigrated from Ghana, West Africa, to the United States in 2011 and is employed with the U.S. Postal Service in Arizona. To help support his family of three children and his wife, Kofi wanted a second career that he could do part time from home on nights and weekends. He found the perfect solution with Learn to Transcribe Academy's online Legal Transcription course. After completing his lectures and passing all the tests and examinations, Kofi earned his Certificate of Completion in March of 2023. The good news is that he began receiving paid transcription work immediately and has also been referred to two other companies. Even though Kofi recognizes that his accent makes it a bit difficult for some to perhaps understand his every word, he continually works on his enunciation. His written English is very good and enables him to return great quality transcripts, and we know that Kofi will excel in the field of litigation transcription. We wish him all the best!
Bridgitt Myers is driven and determined. She comes from a family of loyal, hardworking, and successful people. Having helped her husband before his death, and now her two grown sons, manage a cash crop farm in Michigan, she loves to see things grow from beginning to end. That helped prompt her interest in courtroom trials, to see and hear the whole story from start to finish. As a former medical transcriptionist, Bridgitt wanted to learn the legal side, so she found Learn to Transcribe Academy online, enrolled, and has now graduated! Bridgitt mentions in the podcast how she really liked the ability to just follow along all of the detailed how-to videos and lectures. In addition, she appreciated the numerous downloads and personal coaching assistance she received and is now ready to launch into her new career as a legal (litigation) transcriptionist. She will be working remotely from her own home in Michigan and be able to manage her schedule around other activities. There's nothing better than having family time, occasionally helping out with the farm, and still being able to make a good living with transcription. Tyler Klinger went from a delivery guy to a legal transcriptionist by graduating from our Legal Transcription course at Learn to Transcribe Academy. He shares how he recouped his training costs in just the first two weeks of working in his apprenticeship! We wish Tyler many years of success in his work-from-home career.
Shannon shares with us her background and what led her to legal transcription after a long career doing administrative-type work. Transcription was completely new for her, and she admits that she hit a couple of little bumps in the road along the way. But she was determined and driven to complete her training in our Legal Transcription with Paid Apprenticeship course. She explains what she did to overcome her self-doubts and how she kept going until she jumped over the finish line!
