In this episode, I’m diving into some of the biggest fitness myths I’ve had to unlearn over the past 10 years since losing 100 pounds and getting into the best shape of my life. Fitness is often full of "rules" and misconceptions, and many of these can lead to wasted time, frustration, and even burnout.

I’ll share things I wish I’d known earlier so you don’t have to make the same mistakes. Here are some of the myths I’ll be clearing up:

  • Why they’re often overrated and where your real focus should be instead.
  • The surprising impact of sleep on your fitness and fat loss that’s often ignored.
  • How adding more steps to your day can make a bigger difference than you might think.
  • Why sticking to a plan long-term matters more than working out at max intensity.
  • The benefits of a balanced, flexible approach to eating over strict dieting rules.
  • Why staying active throughout the day is more effective than hours in the gym.

We're quick to address these problems with diets, training programs, and supplements. While those things are certainly helpful. We forget to address the root issues. Many of those issues start with what's going on in your mindset!

A few things we'll talk about in this episode:

  • What does your identity have to do with your fitness progress
  • When people get results, why do they struggle to keep them
  • What to focus on for better long-term success
  • Practical tips for changing your mindset for better success

Let's get into it!

Losing fat is one thing. Sustaining, on the other hand, is something totally different. It's arguably just as important as fat loss itself, though. Well, that is if you actually want to keep the results you achieve.

And I'm guessing you probably aren't putting in all the time, effort, and energy just to see it all disappear, right? Cool, me either. Since I've sustained my 100-pound weight loss for the past seven years, I thought I let you know how I've done that. That way, you understand what you need to know and do so you don't end up like a majority of frustrated people who lose and gain the same 20,30,50 pounds throughout their entire life...
