Selfishly exploring 'success' from the naive viewpoint that only an overly optimistic 23yo can provide.
Not sure what to do with your life? Me neither. Join me as I explore the central theme of success across different disciplines that pique my curiosity:
→ entrepreneurship → music/music production → creators → actors/filmmaking → self-development → fitness/health → philosophy → travelling/adventure
My goal is to humanise the idea of 'success' - to understand the WHY & HOW behind the people from different disciplines.

Been on a bit of a hiatus recently with guest no-shows and other external factors but we're back with a bit of a fun one. A recap with my friend Dylan Alexander after a little time off. Questions about life. Enjoy.
Incredibly fun episode this one. Matt from the Melbourne meditation centre took me through his experience of finding meditation in India, transcendent experiences & how he started his now booming meditation business.

I sat down with Gavan Hogan of 5 Senses Coffee for a conversation on coffee, relationships, travelling & the continued success of 5 Senses. Gavan was the first person to give me the time of day in Melbourne & 3 days in to my Australia journey he invited me down to explore their roastery. 6 months later I'm here again. As mentioned, some of the audio is harder to hear (even with post production levelling efforts) but all in all it's a pretty epic episode.

Fasted for 48 hours in an attempt to gain new insights about my hunger threshold and possibly even philosophical insights. All I learned was that I can get really hungry and fasting doesn't make for a very good podcast.
27 is my lucky number so I have a good feeling about this episode. Wether it serves as a memory of the past or a chapter of something new I'm unsure yet but it's a good place to launch off from.
Insights:
→ Ho Chi Minh traffic moves like a fish
→ Don't let Swiss men ride motorbikes
→ Vietnamese wedding's are dope

Without a doubt my favourite episode to date.
Today's episode features First Press owners Jimmy & Hamish. With a common vision of re-defining the coffee market with ethically sourced, excellent cold-drip coffee FirstPress was formed in 2013. Since then they've grown & expanded to the point where they're stocked nationwide in Woolies, Coles & a plethora of health markets. I loved this conversation in particular; their humility, openness & authenticity really opened my eyes & ears.
I can't wait for you to listen.
Key Insights:
→ Start your business regardless of roadblocks, logistics can be handled later
→ Got to have an irrational optimism to start
→ Biz inertia is real. Once you start, progress compounds
→ Always keep the bigger picture in mind
→ Insecurity drives ambition
→ Success can be shared

Sachin & Adam are 2 Australian podcasters specialising in the tech & VC industry. They came on to my radar when I googled 'Top Aussie Podcasters' a few months ago so this episode is pretty wild for me with a google search becoming reality.
The duo started their podcast on a university exchange in Utrecht & since then have been building the podcast. Some of my favourite parts of the episode include discussions on: the importance of just getting started, the need for an interesting life to make an interesting podcast, the grit and determination required to create something incredible, the importance of living a rich life, how 'crazy' people are those that produce the best art & more.

Today's episode details the experience of Kirsten Moodie & her long journey through understanding her chronic pain & how to deal with it. While initially she was showered with bandaid solutions and a plethora of drugs, she's ultimately found that a holistic approach that focuses directly on tackling the pain head on works best. She's recently started a weekly blog to detail her experiences with chronic pain which can be found through her Instagram or Website:

Warren Mulvey has a super inspiring story - going from working barely minimum wage jobs at 20 years old to making over $10k per month less than a year later. We talk about D2D sales in miserable Ireland, the importance of a gameplan and how sales has affected his life outside of work. If you want to hear more from him:

Episode 14 of ThisThat Podcast is with Andrew Lawson (my brother). He's made buckets in crypto, lost £80k in 6 hours, travelled the world, done everything under the sun & now is finding more peace and tranquility in his life at age 26.
Episode 13 hails from a good friend & designer of mine Remi Dubois. To summarise the episode: travels in Nepal, making awesome Japanese cabinets, finding fulfilment in work. To see more of Remi's work, head over here:

Today we get to look inside the mind of one of the bolder people I know. We talk about risk tolerance, quitting jobs to increase the pressure to succeed and our hunger for wanting more out of life. For new listeners we delve in to the complexities of Forex Trading, the AMC/GME short squeeze & the importance 'repetitions'.
In this episode we explore the acting/movie industry. We talk about the exact way a newbie can break through in to the industry and moreover how an insider views the current state. We also explore travelling, couchsurfing & character.
Today's episode details exactly how Sam Larkworthy got started as a Personal Trainer in Melbourne. He takes an evidence based approach to fitness - using biomechanics and a psychology background to motivate and get the best out of his clients. We talk everything from ideal rep range, advice for new starters, steroids and somehow end up on the topic of egyptology.

Episode 9 is with my housemate Nakita Podreka here in Melbourne, Australia. At 24 she works as a brand assistant within a massive advertising agency and encapsulates the idea of the 'young professional'. She speaks on the best and worst things about the industry, what personalities are most suited for the job and how to deal with a wide array of clients. Outside of work she runs marathons and has been doing so from the age of 20. The insights taken from her experience fully display her tenacity, will and positive attitude.
Probably the funniest conversation I've had to date on the pod. What I love most about the podcast format is how much I find out about friends that I wouldn't over something simple such as a coffee or a beer. Perhaps formalities useful even in the most informal of circumstances.
Episode 7 is with an ex-flatmate and good friend from back home - Nathan Goutcher. Aside from working with one of the major financial institutions, he's also sparked a recent interest in climbing, bouldering and stealing all of my runescape armour.
Episode 6 is with my good friend Gemma Murphy - a student journalist with a passion for adventure, travelling, writing, reading, social rights & the term "my guy".
Episode 5 is with a very good friend of mine - Mathew Steeples. We talk about a shared love/nostalgia for motorsports, our propensity for risk & the psychological makeup of big 4 employees (all amidst a sea of technical difficulties).
My brother Andrew joins me for episode 4 of the podcast where we talk about pretty much everything bar but we're supposed to.
Dylan Alexander relays his experience of the private yacht life from an engineer's perspective.
