In this episode, I have invited Michiel Schuurman to discuss his methodology of working with colors. I was curious about his vision of using and working with colors in the artistic, graphic, and educational fields. Also, I was curious how he feels about being considered sometimes a "master of colors".
Michiel Schuurman's work is very iconic and skillful on so many levels. It is always in the back of my head when it comes to working with colors in an expressionist and contemporary way. Meeting him just added an extra color to my palette.

Young Collectors Circle is an initiative to open the art world to other kinds of people. As well as organizing events and having a mentorship role for curious newcomers, Y.C.C. is a platform for interactions. I was curious about their mission, their role, and their idea of what a collection is. Is it a treasure? Is it a hobby? Or is it a lifestyle?
Nadine van den Bosch, Director, and co-founder of the Y.C.C. was a very open and talkative guest. She explained to me their wishes to change the art world in their own way and be inspiring for other people

Laser 3.14 is a figure of the Dutch street art scene. He has written his story on the city walls of Amsterdam in the form of poetry. Meeting him was for me a great opportunity to discuss the power of words, calligraphy, and messages. His work is by definition public, but at the same time very elusive in its meanings and references. We've also approached lesser know aspects of his artistic work, in which writing plays an even deeper role.
We had the opportunity to meet, and because him being such a prominent and active figure in the Amsterdam street art scene, I thought that there was more behind the autographs.
