Paul reminds us that it is not about a physical thing we do we are saved, but by the grace of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and through our faith in Him that we receive His saving grace and Holy Spirit. This makes us a new creation in Him. How great is that!
In Paul's second letter he has to defend his person. Often times the messenger has to do this. Yet he still leaves us with some great messages for our own times of trouble.
Paul writes to the Church of Corinth from Ephesus in today's summary. Great advice for our churches is given in many areas. Good listen today.

Malachi is the last prophetic word for 400 years until the arrival of the Messiah. It seems the cyclic nature of mankind has returned and the Lord's plea to return to Him comes again. Good stuff today.

The family feud continues and Obadiah is called to let the descendants of Jacob and Esau know that He sees and will be just in such a situation. It all has to do with forgiveness. We can't hold onto that grudge forever like Edom does. Good read today.
Amos - a shepherd called to prophesy gives a message of warning to the Northern Kingdom of and closes with the message of hope from the Lord. Amos speaks as much of now as then of our spiritual journey. God pursues us, and wants to restore us if we so need it. Good stuff!
Joel speaks of a locust swarm as he prophecies of the pending invasion of Assyrian forces. Yet in all of this there is restoration in our God who waits for us and loves us. He is our refuge and strength. From calamity to blessings all in one short book. This could be the story of so many of us. Good stuff today.
In Hosea we learn how much the Lord really wants a covenantal true and right relationship with us. So much so that He has Hosea give us visual aid through Hosea's own life. Interesting read.
How do you fair in the furnace, or with the lions? With God anything is possible and when we are faced with these fiery situations we can learn from the people in Daniel how faithful our God is to carry us through. Good stuff today. You want to be a Daniel.
Ezekiel is loaded with good information. We talk of the Glory of the Lord and being a watchman in this session. Good stuff!
Lamentations is another book from Jeremiah. While his first book is a warning of coming exile, this book is a mourning of what has already taken place. Yet in these chapters Jeremiah gives us some great hope in the Lord we can take in any of our circumstances. Trust in God, He has never failed. Amen!
Isaiah has a great deal of prophetic words for then and now. Here how precise he is in what was to come and has already come and what is still to come. Great book of then and now.
Today we venture into the perfect love relationship as depicted by Solomon in Song of Songs. This is great stuff and reveals to us again, that with God first, everything works out. Great book!
