Adam and Eve have a son, Cain, and later a second son, Abel. Abel becomes a shepherd and Cain cultivates the ground. When it is time for the harvest, Cain presents some of his crops as a gift to the Lord, but Abel's gift is better and the Lord accepts it. This makes Cain angry and dejected. The Lord asks Cain why he is so angry.
The conversation covers the story of Adam and Eve's first two sons, Cain and Abel. Abel's sacrifice is accepted by God while Cain's is not, leading to Cain's jealousy and eventual murder of Abel. The conversation goes on to cover the effects of sin on the family and how sibling rivalry is a result of the Fall.

The creation story continues and comes to an anti-climatic moment. God rests. You would think all of this build up of creating animals, dividing seas from land and speaking the moon and sun into existence would end with a crash bang. Actually it does, but only after he rests. Let's listen in to what God wants to teach us in Genesis 2.

We pick up on the 7th day of the creation story! God does something incredible. He teaches us about rest. We find out why rest is vital to our relationship with him. We’re also introduced to the first recorded relationship, Adam and God. From the beginning God has been concerned about the welfare of humanity. He cared so much that he performed a miracle that altered Adam’s history and ours forever.
