On this week’s episode Jess sits with special guest, Sharla Wasilinchuk. Sharla’s a Spiritual Medium, Reiki and Goddess Energy Facilitator and Mentor. Jess met Sharla in The Spirit School Collective, They discuss Intuition, the development path and how a health crisis ignited a greater awakening.
“ Since childhood, I’ve always had a strong intuition and would spend hours talking to imaginary friends, who I now believe were my spirit guides. At age 7, I asked my mom for Tarot cards. Being raised in a very religious household, that request did not fly well. So for much of my life, I pushed my intuition aside, only catching rare glimpses of it and wondering where it fits into my day-to-day life.
Two things happened that moved me to awaken my spirituality. First, I was diagnosed with a rare blood disorder that required a bone marrow transplant, hospitalization and a complete overhaul of my life. The second was when the world shut down from COVID. These two events led me to my spiritual awakening and desire to see how my intuition could unfold. Life-changing moments made me realize that I was not here to sit back without sharing with others. Those events guided me to discover that the little moments, filled with gratitude, are what life is all about. When I started to follow my intuition it led me to study mediumship, closely followed by Reiki and exploration of the Divine Feminine. Through continual practice, I have learned that intuition and mediumship is an ability that can be practiced, much like playing music. A gift that is available to anyone who has the desire to explore.
My sessions are a mix of mediumship, energy healing, spirit guide and angel messages. I let spirit take the lead to create an experience where you receive healing and messages for your greatest and highest good. In my work, I lead from the heart, which I believe to be the truest connection to our intuition and to the world of spirit”

How do I know if my child is intuitive? How can I help my child develop their psychic gifts? Can my child see ghosts or spirits?
In this week's episode of the podcast, Jessica sits down with Ellen Edmonson, a medium, writer, spirit artist, intuitive coach and mother of a highly intuitive child. Ellen and Jessica exchange stories of noticing their children's psychic gifts in their very early stages of life, as well as their own paths in developing their mediumship. Ellen shares about automatic writing, as well as trance mediumship and healing that she uncovered while developing her own gifts, simultaneously watching her son talk about his past lives as early as age 2. She realized from childhood that she always knew things but never shared, as it wasn't welcome in her Catholic upbringing, but after her son was born, the abilities came out at a fast progression.
Ellen and her son have been on A&E's show Psychic Kids in 2019, and were also highlighted on Inside Edition in January 2022. As Ellen navigated her own gifts as a medium, her now highly intuitive 13 year old son has been on a journey of self discovery and she talks about uncovering how to be of service to him in his remembering. She now runs an informational website and parental community on Facebook for parents of highly intuitive and psychic children.
Both Jessica and Ellen share about their children being able to see colors around people, see their auras and would tell their parents about the angels they would see, including loved ones in spirit that they had never met.

Have you ever received a spirit message for someone else that you weren't expecting?
In this week's episode of the podcast, our psychic medium host Jessica Meils takes us back to the beginnings of her mediumship development when she was taking classes in Los Angeles, getting comfortable with doing readings and setting boundaries around spirit messages intended for family members or friends.
She shares a story before she started taking mediumship development classes about a special friend who had lost their partner who was visiting both her and her husband in their dreams. One memorable experience was him letting her know that he knew about a pregnancy within the family.
When spirit started to carpool with her on her trips to LA for development classes, she spent a lot of time in the car and received a majority of spirit messages while driving in her car. One story in particular she recalls, heading to meet with a classmate early before a class started to do practice healings and practice readings, she heard a voice say "I'm here for her", shaking this off she hears the same thing again, this time spirit identifying himself as her uncle.

In this week's episode of Jessica Meils the Podcast, our host Jessica, a spiritual medium and intuitive healer brings us an episode where she brings us into preparing for readings with clients and setting intentions. She tells us that not all of messages she receives are from our loved ones in spirit, but at times she receives messages from loved ones that are still living - therefore connecting with them psychically. Listen to why it's so important for her to write the name down of the client she's going to be working with!
While typically Jessica only works with oracle decks for herself, and doesn't offer card readings as a service on her website, it does help her connect to her own intuition. She shares that she doesn't read the guide booklet with the cards but rather picking up on images and symbols using her own intuition. Spirit has inspired her to keep different styles of oracle cards, and recently has been drawn to cards with numerology intertwined.
Speaking to those on a developmental path, she shares its often helpful to have divination tools to work with to further evolve the intuition - and cards are fun to have! Jessica also shares with us some of the decks that she currently has in her office, plus some of her favorites to work with!

In this week's episode of Jessica Meils: The Podcast, Jessica sits down with a special guest, Alyna Arana who comes to us as a formally educated scientist turned intuitive energy healer.
Alyna Arana is an intuitive energy healer and holds the ability to perceive energy as information and communciates with spirit to heal people. She uses mediumship with spirit guides, higher self and passed loved ones to gain clarity and guidance on clearing out stagnant energy that is no longer serving her clients. Spirit encouraged her to share her gifts by offering services in 2022, but has been doing this work throughout her life.
She studied Biological Sciences and physics at Cal Lutheran University where she received her Bachelors. Shortly after graduating, she started working for one of the top biopharmaceutical companies in the world - Amgen. Working there for 3 years as a biochemical rapid analyst and quality control associate hoping to build a competitve resume for medical school. She ultimately decided that her desire to heal people did not lay within western medicine, but rather traditional earth and energy medicine. In 2022, she decided to begin to work remotely to take care of financial needs and started offering energy services with others.

In this week's episode of Jessica Meils: The Podcast, Jess sits down and reminisces on the time frame where she began to seek out teachers, mentors and classes surrounding psychic development and mediumship. As she talks about the psychic bootcamp in March 2018, spirit kindly reminded her that was her first psychic development class that exercised around angel communication, divination, spirit and animal communication and of course, psychic clairs.
Even though she was signed up and committed to these classes, there was still a deeply rooted fear that the path that she was being drawn to was not for her, she kept hoping that someone would tell her no, this was not for her. Jessica googled local psychics and met with a woman named Jennifer who used a combination of psychic reading and tarot to confirm that Jessica would in fact be led to work with missing persons investigations utilizing her psychic capabilities. Jennifer was even able to refer her to a woman named Pam Coronado in the Santa Barbara area who specialized in psychic investigations and taught classes.
Even as a child, Jessica was drawn to true crime, missing persons and criminal investigations. Television shows like John Walsh, Dateline, 20/20 - even into her 20's it was something that she really enjoyed.
While Pam's class wouldn't be Jessica's first beginner class on psychic development, she knew she would be returning to evolve her natural abilities. Are you in a time of a disconnection, a separation or a heartbreak?
In this bonus episode of Jessica Meils: The Podcast, the host herself Jessica sits down for some card pulls from Rebecca Campbell's The Rose Oracle Deck for the week of February 20.
While shuffling, The Breathing Rose jumped out of the deck. Some keywords for this card are heart healing, emotions, connecting and how time can ease. Jess is leaned into the pink rose on this card. If you're going through a period where you're encountering a heartbreak, or even a disconnection in a romantic relationship or even in a business partnership, Spirit wants you to know that this does come with greater healing. It almost feels like you may step into a newer bigger version of yourself that you didn't know was possible.
While sometimes we may feel the push to go quickly when you get a symbol or knowing you need to exit, Jessica reminds us that the message is that some of us may do this to avoid feeling the emotions, this is not for your benefit, although this comes from a place of wanting to protect yourself. A second card, Thorn represents protection and boundaries. Thorns are sharp, and may give some discomfort but remember to hold space and have gratitude for the experience.
There is so much medicine in the "pause", the word forgiveness comes through in Spirit. Exercise your voice and clear communication, anchor in and come from the heart center.

How do I know if I’ve had a psychic experience?In this week’s episode of Jessica Meils: The Podcast, Jess brings us to her mother in law’s property in the beautiful Washington State. Nestled in the sacred land of the Pacific Northwest, in Stoney Ridge, her mother-in-law was a healer, astrologer and truly lived off the land, growing her own food, and utilizing herbs for healing. On a visit with the two of them spending some quality one-on-one time together, Jessica shares some experiences in hopes of getting some clarity on what exactly is happening to her.She recalls her husband’s surfing accident in front of their home in Hermosa Beach, mentioning visitation dreams from loved ones who have passed. Jessica shares that she was very much afraid of the experiences and synchronicities that surrounded her. Her mother-in-law guided her through a practice called Muscle Testing. This modality is a way of tapping into the energetic and physical body. The energy surged through her like lightning through the crown, spine and she began channeling all of these message for her mother in law from passed loved ones.The aftermath left her depleted and required several days of rest. She had her doubts on whether this was real. After returning home after the trip, she was still feeling the push.The practice was nothing short of a phenomenal experience that solidified Jessica’s capabilities as a psychic medium. How do I know if I'm intuitive?
There are some big misconceptions in the spiritual world. Jessica's story is different than most. You may hear some people say they're a natural born psychic or medium, and truth is, we are all naturally intuitive beings. Some people may have a greater capacity to communicate in the world of spirit but its not something that can't be developed.
Early on in her development as a psychic medium, these happenings would scare Jessica - she would think "I am not a medium." It looked different than what she had seen on TV, people like Teresa Caputo or other psychics just didn't align to what she had been experiencing. She was in denial that it was even a possibility for her. She believed in astrology, numerology, and psychic capabilities... but not that it was possible for her in that capacity.
Circling back to the peak of her awakening in 2017, in the previous episode about having the vision of her husband's accident.
The story starts with Jessica and her husband looking into buying a home out of the United States, and things just kept going awry. They had a few instances where their mortgage paperwork would get lost, then a major storm blowing through the state of Texas where the lender was, destroying the building and losing the paperwork once again... she kept telling her husband something was off. He would brush it off, as the risk taker, the one who usually talks her down from these fears, but this time it was just different.
Fast forward one month later - going through the process of buying a house again. Jessica shares that this experience felt more aligned than the previous ones. Getting ready to send the wire for down payment, and suddenly she had this tremendous amount of fear in her body, a rumbling. She knew something was going to happen to her husband. She needed to know that they were going to financially be okay if something were to happen and he wasn't able to work for 3-6 months. After a sit down with their accountant, they looked at everything and said yes, you'll financially be okay. They wired the money.
A few days later, she dropped the kids off at school and was at Target - having a mom self-care day...as moms do - and she got a call from a friend.
"Jessica, where are you? I don't want you to freak out, but I need you to come home and get Paul's wallet and dry clothes, he's been in an accident."

Have you ever felt you were called to something bigger? It might be deep in your body. Something doesn't feel right, it's not bringing you joy or happiness. Maybe its your job, it doesn't feel as exciting as it did 5 years ago. Your relationships may not feel as expansive - or maybe even a spiritual awakening where you're questioning everything about your existence.
In this episode of Jessica Meils The Podcast, Jessica sits down with us to begin the story of how her awakening started in 2017. Looking back, this had been building throughout her life, she had been through many awakenings, but everything came to a head when her husband was in an accident that she foresaw a few days prior. It shook her. She felt responsible. How did she know this was going to happen? Did she jinx him into this accident? This accident ended up being a wake up call. Her husband was also going through an awakening at this time. They shared two young children at the time of this accident, that happened while he was surfing. He never should have left the hospital without being in a wheelchair, or rods in his back. It truly was a miracle. This was the peak of Jessica's awakening of understanding that the visions and dreams she was having weren't going anywhere and figuring out why this was happening. Jessica knew that she was meant to do something bigger with her gifts that presented themselves - a strong knowing, but it wouldn't reveal itself fully until her son was in Kindergarten. She had this knowing deep within that she would be helping others in a way she had never done before. As a person who always felt the need to have all details and information, it comes from a place of needing to be safe. Universe kept telling her - you need to know nothing, in 5 years you will prepare for the rest of your journey. In 2018, the journey began with classes, mentorships, understanding and developing psychic clairs and the ability to communicate with the spirit world - she said yes, and was shot out of a rocket and everything came into alignment very quickly. Quitting everything you've ever known to be your life - a job you're comfortable at, financial security from that job, giving it all up to pursue a path that most wouldn't venture down from the fear of being judged by family, friends, loved ones... but Spirit showed Jessica the way and its lead to where she is now.

How can you allow yourself to step into the power of who you are?
