The First Step with Joe Brettler: Recent Episodes

Joe Brettler

Welcome to The First Step, a podcast series dedicated to understanding the process of going from an idea to reality. Getting an idea off the ground takes a lot of work. It is shrouded in insecurity—both mental and physical. I aim to break the narrative stigma that things are challenging and should not be attempted. Inspired by the saying: a journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step. I will speak to founders of businesses, charities and everything in between to understand how they started with an idea and transformed it into a product, community or service. Maybe it will inspire you to start that project you’ve always thought about but haven’t yet taken the first step.

Today’s guest is Finn Thormeier. Finn is the founder B2B of marketing agency Project 33. Finn’s journey leading up to the creation of Project 33 is what draws me in.

It is a process of ‘figuring it out’ as he says - and as someone like me who is figuring it out, there is a lot of resonance.

I enjoyed speaking to Finn. The conversation extended beyond the creation of his company. Venturing into producing online content, internal motivations and life progress vs professional progress.
