Thought I would submit my contribution to the HIVE BASICS initiative organized by @theycallmedan. This is a short video that gives a real an introduction to the HIVE platform and what it has to offer. I want to thank everyone that is participating in this project to teach the world all about our unique blockchain community and why, though imperfect, it is the best of blockchains!
Their are so many cryptocurrencies to choose from as well as similar type blockchains to HIVE, but HIVE has such a diverse number of decentralized applications (DAPPs) to choose from! Each and every one of the digital cards are non-fungible tokens (NFT) wish can be traded, rented and sold! 3SPEAK.ONLINE on which you are watching this video is another popular DAPP. Similar to YouTube with the big difference that it is censorship free regardless of one's politics, sexual identification, faith, or personality!

▶ WATCH ON YOUTUBE™() I have been meaning to share some photos from the Splinterlands Meetup this past December. It was a really nice event where I got to meet a bunch of really nice folks. The buffet was fantastic!
The event was hosted by [Matt Rosen](https://peakd.com/@yabapmatt and Dan Fishman. Dr. Jesse Reich was there as well and gave a great presentation on the Splinterlands Trading Card Game(TCG). Andrew Levine also gave a presentation on the OpenSeed and OpenOrchard Projects.
In addition to learning a great deal and enjoying some great chow, I received a T-shirt and a cool physical promo card!
I stayed overnight in Philadelphia as the meeting was in the evening. I live in South Central Pennsylvania, so by the time the meetup was over, it was too late to get a train back to Lancaster. I stayed at a hostel in Old Town Pennsylvania across from one of the oldest churches in the Nation, Christ's Church.

I just wished to do my small part to aid in producing some marketing materials for @theterminal. They have been helping the community for a number of years now in the tradition of @thewelcomewagon. Some of the staff of the @terminal were actually involved with @thewelcomewagon.

Tornado in Tennessee, STEEM/TRON SNAFU, Corona Virus? What is most important right now is our Community. Our great love and concern for each other as individuals. Never excusing bad behavior, but understanding and coming together in times of crisis.
What family does not have disagreements? Yet; what happens when that family is threatened by an outsider or a family member experiences a tragedy? Rhetorical questions because STEEM has demonstrated over and over what happens. Everyone pulls together.
This past month or so has been a difficult one. Yet we, as an extended family, have shown our resilience. Let us continue in our resolution. This is our house. We can do bad all by ourselves. Attack one of us? You have attacked all of us.
I will no longer point fingers nor will I blame anyone for anything. The very survival of STEEM is at stake. Money? Sure I am concerned about it as are many. It is secondary for me. My number one priority is our community/family.
