Most time we are drowned by the drama that comes with life, but in the midst of the different scenes, one thing is constant. Find it and never let go!
Topic: You are a channel
What does a channel imply: In a general sense, a passage; a place of passing or flowing; particularly, a watercourse.
Effects of a blocked channel: Poor water quality, contamination, health hazard, structural damage, leaky pipes, aesthetic damage.. literally there’s little or nothing that a blocked channel cannot affect.
Bring it home: I’m sure by now we are already beginning to consider ways in which we are channels. Everything about you is a channel, the words you say, your gifts, talents, your personality your job, the way you look, the family you have come from, your mistakes, experiences. Everything that makes you You is supposed to strengthen your channel, make it wider, make it flow faster, help it develop sub-channels and so on (you can continue to expand upon this imagery till you get to a point that its all you think about and till you strongly understand that the world needs you desperately)
Why do we need channels in these times: (this answers who and what benefits from us being flowing channels)
We need channels because:
- In the peace of territories is your peace
- In the peace of your family is your peace
- In the peace of your friends is your peace
- In the peace of your members is your peace
- To foster victorious living in these perilous times
How do you activate your Power as a channel, and where does your power as a channel emanate from?
It comes from the art of Prophetic Intercession: An intercessor is obsessed with seeing prophecy birthed, and an intercessor is obsessed with solutions. This is beyond I want to buy a car, or I want to build a second house. This is a systemic thinker that feels responsible for making things work on a larger scale.
Rather than complaining or engaging in idle talk, pray. Intercession isn’t just for men of God. It is our spiritual responsibility to make enquiries about issues others are facing etc.
The Principles of prophetic intercession
- The fortitude to discern the controlling powers. There are controlling powers that sit over cities. The goal here is victory over controlling powers. Controlling powers ensures trans-generational transfer of powers, they ensure that one cannot rise without allegiance to Babylon. We are a generation that has said we would not bow to Babylon yet we would rise. (Rev 18: 1-5 , 9 -12 -you can read later to understand controlling powers )
- Faith and persistence: It takes an appreciable time to see results but you keep going
The blessing that follows intercessors:
- Intercession is a seed: And based on this law there is a harvest coming for you. Most of the things you pray for others about you would not need to pray for. Job 42:10
- Access to the secrets of territories: God can trust you to the mystery of territories and destinies. You earn his trust by being an intercessor, he can trust you with the pains of people because he knows you will pray for them. Gen 18:17 &18 He gave one 5 another 2, another 1 talent as a measure of his trust for them.
In a nutshell, the secret to the sprint of revelation and illumination is Love, not power. Intercession flows from a heart that is filled with love.
I strongly believe that the people we meet contribute a great deal to how far we go. Then, what you hear determines your depth as a person. Your depth determines your worth as a person.
