Our Jonk Fuerschers, David, Bartek, Ella, Amélia, Alina and Illona with Sousana and Guillaume share their impressions of the COP 28. Our six young scientist had the opportunity to share their Jonk Fuerscher project in the BENELUX pavilion.

Christopher Gargiulo and Thomas Litt, participants of the 52 National Jonk Fuerscher contests and winners of the prestigious Expo Sciences Denmark award, discuss their passion for science with podcast host Hanna Siemaszko.
Their project, Neptune, which came 2nd in the Expo Sciences Denmark, was on how water flow can be converted to energy, listen to their development journey for their 3D model, how they started with the project, the issues they faced and why they chose the topic of energy and climate crisis.

It has been a whirlwind year, and after all the hard work of our Young Scientists, the 52nd National Jonk Fuerscher Contest comes to an end.

It is not uncommon for young students to become passionate about particular fields of science, and atomic fusion and fission are both fascinating topics that can capture the imagination of many young learners.
For Alina Liedtke, the passion for atomic fusion and fission may have started with a basic understanding of the structure of atoms and the concept of energy.
As she delved deeper into the topic, she's been drawn to the intricacies of nuclear fusion and fission reactions, and the incredible amounts of energy that can be released through these processes.
Perhaps she has even dreamed of a future where humanity harnesses the power of atomic fusion to provide clean, limitless energy for the world?
Or, maybe she has become interested in the ethical considerations surrounding nuclear energy and the potential dangers of atomic weapons.
Whatever the reason for her passion, Alina is part of a long tradition of scientists who have sought to unlock the secrets of the universe and harness the power of the atom. With dedication and hard work, she may one day be able to make her own contributions to this exciting field of study.

To launch our brand new podcasting endeavour we decided to record during our Expo-sciences 2022 event that showcases the work of young scientists from Luxembourg and all the corners of the world. We briefly talked to our director, Sousana Eang, to then move to the heart of our event, the young scientists who were: Uri Sadan Yarchi from Israel, Rayene Frej from Tunisia, and Lynn Schneider, Theodor Stanica and Christopher Gargiulo from Luxembourg. This was an occasion for us to discuss nuclear fusion with cylindrical capsules, cleaning solar panels, creating bioplastic and energy production methods in Luxembourg. What a treat!
