Considering a business pivot? Listen to this podcast episode first. I share some important lessons I’ve learned over the past several weeks in my own business. The lessons I’ve learned will help you make the right decision for you.

I have been focusing on work-life balance coaching for the past year and a half, and I started to pivot my business over the past several weeks towards helping people create their own group coaching programs. As I got deeper into it, things started to feel hard and my momentum slowed down. I took some time to think about the business pivot I was making, what I really wanted, and what my clients really wanted - and I decided to reset.

The decision I ultimately made was to continue work-life balance coaching, and offer bonus support to my clients who also need help creating a group coaching program as part of their work-life balance journey. So, that’s what I’m doing.

Now that I’ve made this decision, and it feels right to me, I’m moving forward full speed ahead and creating my own group coaching program to help business owners with work-life balance. There will be a bonus inside my new program to teach my step-by-step process for creating a group coaching program as well. Stay tuned for more details!

What You’ll Learn:

  • Lessons from one and a half business pivots
  • What to do when things start to feel hard during a business pivot
  • How you can figure out if a business pivot is right for you or not
  • Decisions I’ve made over the past several weeks for my business and why I made those decisions
  • Why it’s ok to slow down and reset your business when you need to

When you’re in the process of actively growing your business, it requires more from you mentally, physically, and emotionally. That’s why I highly recommend you reduce the negative noise in your life during business growth phases, or maybe even forever!

If your social media feed or podcast app is filled with negativity, it could cause you to feel pretty terrible, which could also cause you to slow down your business progress or stop you in your tracks. Reducing the negative noise is a great way to keep you moving forward towards your business goals at a pace that feels good to you.

You’ll also want to take a look at your own marketing to intentionally decide how much negativity you want to spread with your own message. It’s your business, so you get to decide what your marketing message will be. Make sure it’s aligned with what you want to share with your ideal clients and how you want to run your business.

Listen to this podcast episode to learn how you can reduce the negative noise in your life and decide how much negativity you’ll have in your own marketing, if any.

What You’ll Learn:

  • What ‘negative noise’ is
  • Why it’s especially important to reduce negative noise when you’re in the process of growing your business with your first group coaching program or your first scalable offer
  • How negative noise may be slowing down your progress or stop you in your tracks
  • What you can do to reduce the negative noise on social media, in your podcast app, in the books you read, or when you’re listening to the news
  • You can’t avoid having negativity in your life completely, but you can reduce the negative noise, which will reduce the amount of time and energy you’re spending on processing these things in your brain
  • When you reduce the negative noise in your life, you’re opening up more space in your brain to focus on the program you’re creating and the work you’re doing with your clients
  • Your marketing doesn’t have to have negativity in order to attract your ideal clients, you can choose how much you talk about your ideal clients’ problem vs. their solution

Did you feel like a different person when you worked in the corporate world? Many people felt that way. I definitely did! Some corporate environments “train” employees to fit in and do things their way. But when you become a business owner, it’s important to shed that programming and get clear on who you are and how you want to operate your business.

When you lean into your own strengths and interests, you will build your business in a way that feels easier and more positive for you, while providing the best quality product or service you can to your customers.

The place where your strengths and interests intersect with what your customers need and want, is exactly where you should focus your time and energy in your business. Where is that place for you?

Listen to this podcast episode as Andrea and Life and Business Coach Shyloh Brown help you discover that intersection for you and your business.

What You’ll Learn:

  • “It’s not about becoming someone new, it’s about remembering who you’ve always been.” -Shyloh Brown
  • You are enough, you’ve always been enough, and you’ll always be enough.
  • The corporate world may have “trained” you to be someone else, other than yourself, and it’s important to know who you are as a business owner, because it will help you focus on your strengths and build your business in a way that feels good to you.
  • Example: Andrea realized that Instagram wasn’t a platform she liked to work on, so she deleted her Instagram account and leaned into Facebook and LinkedIn.
  • Being “authentic you” in your business will help you attract and connect with your clients more deeply.
  • When you lean into your own knowing and experience, you will create a product or service that speaks to your ideal client, and allows you to make a bigger impact and grow your business.
  • As you grow your business, you can make decisions for how you’ll grow and scale that match with your personality and interests, while also serving your clients in the best way.

You already have a lot going on in your life and business, and when you decide to begin the process of creating your first scalable offer, you’ll have even more going on in your life and business. It’s important to plan - in phases - your sales funnel, so you can manage everything without overwhelm.

In my own business, I recently planned my sales funnel for my group coaching program in two phases. Listen to this podcast episode to hear the details of both of these phases. Use this as inspiration for your own sales funnel.

The goal is to keep it simple in phase one, to get your first scalable offer out there in the market, and to adjust everything as you learn more from your paying clients. Planning everything in phases is super helpful in reducing any overwhelm you might be feeling, and get yourself moving forward.

What You’ll Learn:

  • How to introduce your new offer to your audience and reduce confusion
  • An example of a sales funnel I’m creating in my business in two phases
  • Creating different phases of your sales funnel will help you as a business owner and your audience
  • How to drive traffic to your website to get more leads for your business
  • Keep your first sales funnel simple, and add more to it later on, if necessary
  • Look at the data along the way to help you make decisions that make sense for your business, your clients, and your audience
  • When you create your sales funnel, think through the client experience in terms of the thoughts, feelings, and actions they’ll experience at each step along the way
  • Sales funnels are meant to show people the value of your program and how they can get the result they want by investing in your program, they aren’t meant to try to convince people to purchase something they don’t want

When you want to grow your business by creating a scalable offer, you will feel self-doubt and imposter syndrome. But those emotions don’t have to stop you in your tracks.

Start by reminding yourself that creating a scalable offer isn’t your only option. There are four main ways you can grow your business…you can raise your prices, sign more clients, hire people and build a team, create your scalable offer, or a combination of these options.

If you know that creating a scalable offer is the right decision for you and your business, dealing with that self-doubt and imposter syndrome is necessary and will help you naturally want to take action towards your goals.

Listen to this podcast episode to learn 3 ways you can deal with self-doubt and imposter syndrome, so you can move forward and create your scalable offer.

You’ll hear how reminding yourself of your previous education, experience, and qualifications, as it relates to the scalable offer you want to create, will help you build your confidence.

You’ll hear how important it is to read your client testimonials to yourself to remember how important your work is, and how much of an impact your work has on other people’s lives.

You’ll also hear how every entrepreneur experiences these emotions when they’re creating a scalable offer. Simply allowing these emotions to be there, but not allowing them to stop you from taking action, is key. Having support from other business owners going through the same thing can really help.

What You’ll Learn:

  • When we feel self-doubt and imposter syndrome in our businesses
  • Your four main options for continuing to grow your business when you’ve reached your maximum capacity with private clients (raise your prices, sign more clients, hire people and build a team, or create a scalable offer)
  • Self-doubt and imposter syndrome may be stopping you from making a decision to create your scalable offer
  • Three ways to deal with self-doubt and imposter syndrome so you can create your scalable offer (remind yourself of your previous education, experience, and qualifications; read the client testimonials you’ve received from current and past clients; understand self-doubt and imposter syndrome are normal and common)
  • My clients and I are also feeling self-doubt and imposter syndrome as we create our own scalable offers, so you’re not alone
